This group organizes game nights, they provide the games and explain the rules if you need it. **This week's venue: Beer People \| Lázár utca 7\, Budapest 1065** We hold a bi-weekly workshop to encourage creative writing where we share pieces of creative writing and solicit feedback from the other attendees. Some members also use the forum to find others with whom to collaborate, edit work, and/or brainstorm plot, themes, settings, and so forth. And from time to time, we participate in competitions, recite and/or offer material for events organized by other groups. At the moment there is no prompt for this particular meetup. Instead, writers are invited to submit something they have (or are working on) or to craft a short story specifically for the event. Of course, there's no pressure to submit something. Many participants are interested in hearing ideas, questioning the authors, and examining style and technique. Often, we explore other published works as well. The submission guidelines are as follows: 1. limit the piece to 850 words (to give enough time for any other submissions being read at the event); 2. make the text available (though you can read it aloud) for the other attendees. Those cards are called "hwatu" or flower cards. The most popular game played with hwatu is "Go-Stop". Come to the inaugural meeting of Hwatu Hangout, and learn how to play this awesome game. Come out to the Reston Community Center and play some games! Party games? Strategy games? Tabletop role-playing games? This massive space can accommodate games for every interest. While the event starts at 5pm, feel free to roll in whenever you are able! If you have games to bring that you'd like to share or run, please do! Food and drink are not provided within the venue, but you are allowed to bring in anything you need from outside locations, just please be considerate of other people's games and the tables when doing so. Park anywhere in the parking lot. The Community Center building is located directly behind Ledo Pizza. Walk straight back to the main room once you enter the building.
