๐ Rouge National Urban Park Hike and Picnic๐ณ
๐ **Fall Walk: Rouge National Urban Park** ๐ณ
is Canada's only Urban Park and is one of our most popular hikes that we do as it's really the only hiking trail in Toronto that you can get to by TTC. Once you are on the trail you will not believe that you are still in the City. Not only will we be walking up and hills but I will take you to one of the best lookout points in the Valley. You don't want to miss an afternoon of hiking.
This trail can be a bit challenging (with some ups and downs), so it may not be the best choice for beginners. But if youโre up for it, youโll feel proud of yourself at the end โ and youโll have shared the experience with a great group of people.
After the hike, weโll enjoy a **group picnic** (30โ40 mins). Please bring something small to share โ nothing too big so itโs easy to carry! ๐ฅช๐

๐ณ๐ฆ ST. CLAIR WEST VILLAGE WALK, WYCHWOOD PARK, ICE CREAM & MORE! ๐ฆ๐ณ
Hidden Streets, Storybook Homes & Some of Torontoโs Best Ice Cream
Some parts of Toronto feel like you've accidentally wandered into a completely different city.
Join us for a relaxed social walk through St. Clair West and the hidden enclave of Wychwood Park โ one of Toronto's most unique and exclusive residential communities.
Wychwood Park is private, residential, and unlike anywhere else in the city. The homes are all architecturally distinct โ no cookie-cutter subdivisions here. Living in Wychwood Park involves a waiting list, board approval, and community guidelines designed to preserve the character of the neighbourhood.
It feels almost village-like... peaceful, artistic, and slightly secret.
This is not a formal historical tour.
It's a social walk with beautiful surroundings, interesting neighbourhoods, and good conversation.

We'll begin by walking west along St. Clair, taking in the neighbourhood and exploring some of the area's hidden gems.
Along the way we'll stop at Dutch Dreams for ice cream โ one of Toronto's most famous ice cream destinations. ๐ฆ
From there we'll wander through the winding streets of Wychwood Park before making a stop at Artscape Wychwood Barns to browse the market and community space.
Afterward, we'll make our way back toward St. Clair and finish at Grandma Loves You, a local favourite known for some of the best sandwiches in Toronto. ๐ฅช
You are welcome to join us for food or continue back to the subway station.
Sometimes the best part of these walks is simply discovering places you never knew existed.

Mob Programming at Mofer Coffee
Letโs do some coding together at a cafe! No more working alone in the weekend. Here, we write code together. And I mean together together. Not occupying-the-same-space-but-separate together.
Hereโs how it works: Jennifer brings her mobile app project, tells everyone that it is like Pinterest for recipes and sheโd like to work on the nav bar. Paul and Chloe think Jennifer's project is fascinating, and they join the group. They gather around Jenniferโs laptop and work on the nav bar for 2 hours. Jennifer is the one typing out the code while Paul and Chloe research, brainstorm, and offer suggestions.
If youโre feeling stuck on your own project or need a motivation boost, bring it to mob programming!
Want to learn by watching how others code and solve problems? Join someone elseโs project at this event!
Oh and we love your half-done projects that you are a bit embarrassed to share. Absolutely bring those to the event!
**Discord**:
We use Discord to share screen & code snippets during the event. Also feel free to share your projects here before the event!
https://discord.gg/xwjDdVSw3E
**Event policy**:
* We have 0 tolerance for harassment.
* We donโt allow the projects that are not meant to be shared in public such as school assignments, interview tasks, or trade secrets.
* The goal is to write code. We discourage you from pitching business ideas here, doing code reviews, or spending the whole event on planning what to do.
* Please buy a drink, and tip the barista well.

**๐ฆ WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?**
โF\*ck the Small Talk is an out-of-the-box social experience where strangers come together for an evening of meaningful, fun, and deep conversation. Itโs also just a different & cool way of meeting new people by **getting out of your comfort zone** and **skipping the small talk!**
โ
Join us for an evening of games, talks, and connections with friends you havenโt met yet. Join if you get **annoyed after being asked what you do**, **where** **you** **are** **from**, and how long you have been in Toronto, every single time you meet someone. If you feel that there are better questions in life then this is the place for you. ๐
**๐ HOW DOES IT WORK?**
โWe start with a short and sweet intro talk followed by a few light-hearted group games to warm up. After that, we split you up into small groups and start some **conversation** **rounds** (3โ4 people per group).
โWe have awesome **question** **cards** that will guide the flow of each conversation. (You never have to speak in public if you donโt want.) Our **experienced host will make sure everything goes smoothly**. ๐ญ (Introverts, you'll love it too โค๏ธ.)
**๐น HOW TO JOIN**
**[Take a minute to sign up ๐](https://luma.com/ftst3toronto)**
Viewing this on your phone and can't click the link? Go to the comments and click the link posted in there!
Our events are **limited to 30 handpicked guests** to ensure a cozy atmosphere. **Confirm your spot on the link above** to make it happen! We try our best to prioritize a balance of gender and age. If you're invited you'll receive a confirmation within 48 hours via Luma (our ticketing platform)
NOTE: We won't validate your payment unless you've been accepted! (which you most likely will โค๏ธ)
**Sold out or can't make it?** [Drop us your email ](https://epicllama.myflodesk.com/toronto)and we'll keep you in the loop for the next one! ๐
**๐งง HOW MUCH IS IT?**
The cost to attend is CAD 30 (Early Llama) or CAD 35 (General Llama), and includes the following:
โฐ 3 hours of **facilitated** and curated activities
๐ฅ A space to meet **new** **people** in the least boring way possible
๐ Supporting our **mission** to eliminate small talk around the world
๐ฝ๏ธ A mid-way snack and drink of choice (you can purchase additional food/drink too, if you wish)
๐ซ Those pesky **ticket** **fees**!
**๐ณ WHERE IS IT?**
โThis event will take place at a private cafe in the Willowdale neighbourhood, close to **Finch subway station**, on Yonge Street. The exact location will be revealed once we confirm your spot! ๐๏ธ
**๐ WHAT THEY SAY**
๐ฃ โThis is the kind of activity **humanity needs every weekend**. Thank you for all.โ - *Sonya*
๐ฃ โF\*ck the Small Talk changes the narrative from "Where are you from?" to "When was the last time you laughed uncontrollably?" and I think that's beautiful.โ - Monika
๐ฃ "Itโs a **wonderful** **experience**, itโs like being a kid again, when you were at the park, playing with other kids, and just decided you were going to be best friends for the next hours. Maybe youโll never see those kids again. But that hour was amazing because you both opened up and trusted each other." - Sara

**๐ค FAQs**
**Can I come alone?**
Of course, we encourage it :)
**Can I be late?**
Please don't! Late arrivals will disrupt the floooooooow.
**I signed up but never got an invite. Why?**
We usually get a high volume of sign-ups yet we like to keep it cozy and only invite around 30 people. Please try again next time if you do not receive an invite - no hard feelings ๐
**Why do you charge?**
We value our time and put a lot of love, planning, and effort into creating and designing these experiences. โฅ๏ธ This is our project/business and what we give to the world and we think everything should be a fair exchange! ๐ However, money should never be the reason for people not to attend. If you canโt afford it, send us a message!
**Is this a networking or dating event?**
Nope! Think of us as the *anti-networking* and *anti-speed dating* event. Thereโs no pressure, no pitches, and no cringy icebreakers. Instead, we create spaces where strangers can connect through fun & meaningful conversations. Itโs all about authentic connectionโ no business cards or romantic expectations required. (doesnโt mean it *canโt* happen โ itโs just not the intention!)
