**Want to do something useful with your exercise? GoodGym is no ordinary gym. We're a group of people who get fit by doing good - helping out local charities and community groups with physical jobs like shifting compost and planting trees.**
**📍 We meet at** **Westbury Community Garden, St Awdry's Road, Barking, IG11 7QD** **at 6:15pm.**
**🏃♂️ At 6:30pm we'll run, walk or cycle to do a 30-40 minute task.**

**FAQ**
Not sure you'll keep up? GoodGym is for everyone (18+). Whether you've never run before, or are chasing a marathon PB, you are 100% welcome. We always have a back-marker so no one gets left behind.
70% of GoodGym members start as non-runners so if you're new to this kind of thing you will be supported by people who are all on the same journey. 👍
What do I need to wear? Most of us wear gym/running gear. Make sure you're prepared for the weather.
Don't feel like you're fit enough? Our tasks are simple and fun. There are easy jobs as well as more challenging things for those who want a workout! The choice is always yours.
Do I need to bring anything? Gardening gloves are really useful for a lot of GoodGym tasks. And a head torch too if it’s likely to get dark. Please bring some if you can but there’s no requirement 🧤💡🧤
What is GoodGym? We're a (really lovely) group of people who use our energy to make a difference in our local community (and in communities across the UK!). This walk is all about connection — for both dogs *and* humans.

**The Gardens of South London & Vegan Delights** \~ Nature, food & Walking 😊
We'll gather from 11.30am to 11.45ish, outside Kennington station \~ Bring, or buy, vegan picnic food to share 😊 ( if too chilly, we'll find somewhere vegan/vegan friendly to have lunch )
We'll explore gardens and parks, picnic in a park, and afterwards, walk as far we like, maybe including the Thames.

Each month we'll explore the gardens & parks of South London, have a vegan potluck picnic lunch, or find a vegan or vegan friendly place in colder weather, and later, weather permitting, head down to the Thames via Vauxhall or Bermondsey. The route may vary slightly each month and we may go west or east down the Thames later.
Latecomers, we can meet you by the café in Kennington park, or I may post a restaurant name or pub we may be in.

Exploring Ethiopian Culture Through Cuisine at Enatye
Food is one of the most meaningful ways to experience culture — and Ethiopian cuisine is rooted in community, tradition, and bold, layered flavors.
Join the Global Food & Culture group as we gather at Enatye Ethiopian Restaurant to explore traditional dishes served on injera. If you’re open to sharing, we can create a few shared platters so everyone can sample a variety of dishes — but individual ordering is perfectly fine too.
Enatye is a small restaurant and does not make reservations so they recommended the 2-4 pm time frame. We’re initially capping this at 12 guests to keep the experience comfortable and conversational. If interest is strong and the restaurant can accommodate, we may open additional spots. The good news is that they will bill each of us separately!
