DevBP #16: Ship Happens
In the last DevBP meetup before the summer break, we will venture to the world of **Continuous Delivery**, exploring the craft of shipping software safely and continuously — from the practices that keep your releases boring, to the hard-won lessons of building the infrastructure behind a feature toggle.
\-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\-
**Continuous Delivery Never Died. It Became a Harness.**
with [András Fincza (Draven) - XUND](https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrasfincza/)
The PR-centered pipeline was already buckling under big batches, delayed feedback, and overloaded reviewers. Agents just turned up the volume. But the discipline that made CD work in 2015: trunk-based development, fast feedback, sociable testing, feature flags, quality gates. These matter more in 2026, not less. This talk is about what to keep from the old playbook, what to upgrade, and what to stop pretending works.
**Building a Feature Flag service**
with [Zoltán Dávid - ConfigCat](https://www.linkedin.com/in/zoltan-david/)
Everyone knows what a feature flag is. Far fewer know what it takes to build and run a feature flag service at scale. In this talk, we'll go behind the scenes of ConfigCat: the technical decisions, the scaling surprises, and the business lessons that came from serving billions of feature flag evaluations. No introductions to feature flagging, just honest insights from years of building a product in a space where reliability isn't optional.
\-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\- \-\-\-
This English-language event will be held at the **Shapr3D office**, where we'll provide snacks and drinks to fuel conversations.
Arrival is from 17:30, the presentations start at 18:00.
You can also find the recordings of previous events on the [@DevBPMeetup YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/@DevBPMeetup).
A tervezett program:
17:30 - 18:00 - Gyülekezés, regisztráció
18:00 - 18:10 Köszöntés, bevezetés, beszámoló az APEX World-ről (Pataki Dávid)
18:10 - 19:00 Az APEX 26.1 és az AI támogatott fejlesztés (Pataki Dávid)
19:00 - 19:10 Zárás, Kahoot (Pataki Dávid)

VI. BQG Meetup - Neural Network Deamericanization
Join the next Budapest Quant Group meetup for an exciting presentation by **Gábor Vigh, Director at MQA, Citi**, on cutting-edge machine learning methods in quantitative finance. The event concludes with networking.
**Abstract:** Accurate and efficient calibration of equity volatility surfaces is fundamental to equity derivative pricing. When markets quote only American option prices, this task becomes significantly more complex. We present a neural network-based approach that overcomes these challenges, delivering calibration results while reducing the computational burden of conventional approaches.

(szombat) 10:00-11:00
Könyvhét & Könyves Duma | Book Week & Casual Book Chat
**English below ----------------------**
A menetrend a következő:
**14:00 – Gyülekező és bemutatkozás**
A Vörösmarty-szobor környékén találkozunk.
**14:15 – Indulás a standok közé**
**15:00 – Találkozó a Kiskirálylánynál(Vigadó tér)**
**15:20 - 17:00 – Könyves duma a Városháza Parkban** Letelepedünk a parkban, ahol picit átbeszéljük a könyvheti élményeket, meg persze jöhet a kötetlen beszélgetés bármilyen könyvről.
**English version / International attendees:**
This is our first casual, free-form event. Instead of discussing a specific book, we’ll visit the Festive Book Week together and see how this format works.
* **14:00 – Meetup:** Near the Vörösmarty statue. Look for a bigger group and a guy holding a **Moby Dick** book. We'll do a quick intro and share what everyone wants to check out.
* **14:15 – Heading out:** We'll explore the stands in smaller groups. If you're late, just drop a comment here and catch up with us later.
* **15:00 – Re-grouping:** At the Little Princess Statue (Kiskirálylány) at Vigadó Square, followed by a 10-minute walk to Városháza Park.
* **15:20 - 17:00 – Book Chat:** We'll settle down in Városháza Park to talk about our Book Week finds and books in general. The official event ends at 17:00, but feel free to stay longer!
> 🌍 **Language note:** Since this is a local event, most attendees will likely speak Hungarian, but the organizers and many of us speak fluent English. Feel free to join us, we are happy to chat in English and make sure you're included!

Battle of the personal agents
Join the Columbus AI community for a special event.
**Battle of the Personal Agents** is your chance to see what people are actually building with AI agents and personal automation systems. Whether you’re running OpenClaw, Hermes, or a completely custom solution, bring your agent and show the community how it works.
We’re interested in real-world implementations: the problems your agent solves, how you use it day-to-day, how it’s hosted and managed, how you built it, and why you’ve chosen to keep using it. Live demonstrations are encouraged, so be prepared to show your code, architecture, workflows, and your agent performing real tasks.
This is less about polished presentations and more about sharing practical experience, comparing approaches, and learning from one another. If you’d like to present, please contact Chris Slee (via meetup) before the event so we can allocate enough time for everyone’s demonstrations.
Come ready to show what you’ve built, discover what others are doing, and maybe find a few ideas worth taking home.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.
