**About Wilderness Union**
Wilderness Union is deliberate about building an outdoors community that connects you to the life-changing magic of the outdoors and helps you find your people.
Members range from 20-40 years old. The group is a mix of GTA locals and newcomers to Toronto from within Canada and abroad.
Attendance numbers on Meetup don't reflect our actual event attendance - we typically have 15-20 community members at each event. Large enough that there's someone new to meet but small enough that it's not overwhelming!

Since the trails are still icy and very muddy, we will walk the waterfront trail in Pickering and take in the beauty of the Lake Ontario shoreline and Pickering nuclear plant. We will walk at a moderate pace for 10 kms in 2 hrs or less. The plan will be to walk the paved pathway west towards the Rouge River and back. Our meeting spot will be the Westshore Community Center parking lot. As of now the forecast is calling for a cloudy day with no rain. Lets hope that doesn't change.
Come out for an Easter Sunday walk and make room for your festive family dinner.
**Note**
- Arrive on time! Don't let the group wait for you.
- Know your limits! Choose the hike that matches your fitness level.
- Dress for the conditions.

Good Saturday food/drinks/games
What's better than a Good Friday - obviously (a Good Saturday). The plan is to eat/drink/play (arcade) games/dance and hop bars (if we feel like it).
The venue charges $10 cover that you can use towards games inside after 9pm. But depending on the crowds, they may start charging before that.
Its hard to reserve a table but there are open spaces inside the venue where we can get together and partaaayyyy.
We will stay some time and see if we like the vibe, there are other couple of bars in the area that we can check out later.
The event is free, come as you please, go when you are tired and have fun while you are there.
Beaches Easter Parade
We're going to watch the Beaches Easter Parade ! We will take a nice stroll along Queen street and will stop in a chocolate store filled with Easter goodies before the parade starts at 2pm.
Then we will walk along Queen street to see the parade filled with bands, dancers, floats and easter bunnies. Afterwards you can go to the beach.
Queen street will be closed between Woodbine east to Neville Park from approximately 2 - 4pm. For those who are driving it is best to park near Woodbine and Queen.
For those taking the TTC, go to Woodbine station and take the
92 Woodbine bus south and get off at Queen street. The firestation is very close to the bus stop. Or take the Queen car to Kingston road and walk a few blocks to the firestation. The firestation is at the corner of Queen east and Woodbine. It's the tall building with the bell tower. Felice is wearing a red hat.
Please know that when you post a message below it goes to all members who have signed up. If you need to cancel please change your RSVP you don't need to leave a comment for me.

Hike Blendon Woods Metro Park
Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
Hike Gertrude S. Lawrence Hoover Nature Preserve near Galena
This trail is a meandering path through the woods. There will be some overlooks and a couple stops at the creek as well as time along a waterway. It will not be a fast paced hike. There is some elevation change and uneven terrain. I will be using poles just to be safe! Will aim to get in about three miles.
Optional lunch after if there is an interest.
