**This Monday, June 15th, 7-9pm, join the full team of Facilitators and Crew for one more dance before we take a break for the summer. We’re all showing up for you, ready to play, move, and consciously experience everything that comes up. Our facilitator @Michael V ( Consious Dance) will take us on an exploration of the evening’s theme: RESONANCE.**
**What frequency are you vibrating at? Resonance is the phenomenon of matching frequencies to create a harmony. We are going to dance together while exploring our unique tunings. See what your internal tuning fork tells you. Come explore what music, moods, tones and toes you resonate with.**
**Join us after the dance for a celebration dinner at a restaurant nearby. Summer is here, some of us will travel, but the RESONANCE of our connection, forged through our shared experiences on the dance floor, keeps us connected year after year.**

Wellness Wonder: Taekwondo Forms @Tamar Park
Curious about martial arts but don’t know where to start? Join us for an outdoor Taekwondo Forms session led by **Sophian Ben**, a French Taekwondo practitioner who teaches in English, Mandarin and basic Cantonese. This class focuses on forms (patterns) – coordinated sequences of movements that build strength, balance, focus and body awareness. No sparring, no pressure, just a friendly space to move, learn and have fun.
Whether you are a complete beginner or you have some martial arts experience, you are welcome. The pace will be gentle and progressive, with attention to posture, breathing and mindful movement. Think of it as a moving meditation plus a light workout.
**What we’ll do**
● Short warm‑up and joint mobilization
● Introduction to basic Taekwondo stances, blocks, kicks and hand techniques
● Learning and repeating simple forms (patterns) step by step
● Short cool‑down and stretch, with time for questions and sharing
**Who is this for?**
● Beginners who want to try martial arts in a relaxed setting
● Yoga / fitness people curious about Taekwondo as mindful movement
● Anyone who enjoys learning new body skills and improving coordination
No previous experience is required. Just come with an open mind and be ready to move.
**About the instructor – Sophian Ben**
Sophian is a French martial arts enthusiast with years of Taekwondo practice and teaching experience. He speaks French, Spanish, English and Mandarin, and can give simple cues in Cantonese, so international and local participants can all follow along.

☆ This is a free community class, and Sophian is happy to share his movement practice and help grow the group. If you enjoy the session, your support is always appreciated, whether that means coming along, bringing friends, leaving a nice comment on Meetup, or making a donation if you feel like it.
☆ Regular Taekwondo classes in Hong Kong usually cost around HKD 250 to 300 per session.

This yoga class is chill, simple, and mainly focuses on relaxation for our bodies. Welcome anyone who with yoga experience or beginner.

Wellness Wonder: Mini Yoga Retreat @Repulse Bay
★ **This is a paid Community Event** ★
We will enjoy the public holiday (Dragon Boat Festival, 19 June, Friday) with a mini yoga retreat, slowing down together to connect body and mind with nature while enjoying each other’s company. A short escape from the city streets, yet still close to home, this is a gentle mix of walking, yoga, sightseeing, and good conversation.
**What we will do**
● Meet at Admiralty Station Exit C1 (street level) at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to greet the group; we will leave at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
● A mostly shady forest hike of about 2 hours, with beautiful views along the way.
● Beach fun, fitness games, and playful yoga with a Dragon Boat theme on the sand.
● Lounging, swimming, social time, and a relaxed picnic on the beach (bring your own food or buy something nearby).
**Who this mini retreat is for**
● People who want a calm, nature‑based reset without leaving Hong Kong.
● Anyone new to yoga or returning after a break who prefers a gentle, friendly setting.
● People who are visiting Hong Kong or are new in town and want a different experience beyond the usual sightseeing.
● Those who enjoy light hiking, greenery, and exploring quieter corners of the city.
● People who enjoy meeting others, socializing in a relaxed way, and connecting with fellow movement and wellness practitioners.

I am Sophia, a yoga instructor and 200 hour YTT certified teacher. As a new yoga teacher, I’m excited to share a practice that builds strength and mobility through Hatha Yoga and simple mobility movements. In this class, we’ll move with mindful breath and purposeful movement, using foundational poses and flowing sequences to wake up the body, improve joint mobility, and build functional strength.
My intention is to create a supportive space where we practice together, learn from each other, and cultivate calm, focus, and presence both on and off the mat. Whether you are new to yoga or returning after a break, we will move at a comfortable pace, listen to our bodies, and celebrate small progress as we grow.

Yoga @ Cbus Park of Roses w/Victoria + Pattycake Bakery After
Join us Saturday, June 20th at 10am for a gentle beginner-friendly yoga flow at the Columbus Park of Roses with Victoria, one of our very own vegan community members and certified yoga teacher!
Whether you’re brand new to yoga or a long time practitioner, this class is designed to help you slow down, stretch, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Expect a relaxed, accessible flow focused on easing tension, moving mindfully, and leaving you feeling a little more grounded.
All levels welcome! Bring water and a yoga mat (or towel if you don’t have a mat).
A suggested donation of $10 is appreciated, but payment is absolutely not required to attend and enjoy class. A Venmo QR code will be available on-site for anyone who would like to contribute.
The class duration will be one hour from 10-11am. After class, we’ll head to Pattycake Bakery for anyone who wants to keep the good vibes going over delicious sweets and conversation 🌱

We will aim to sit outside after purchasing items and hopefully taking in lovely weather.
Special note on parking: Please try to park along Acton, Richards and/or Chatham streets so as to free up the lot at the back of the building for pick-up orders. Thank you. 😊

All levels of Meditators or welcome. In person or on Facebook Live! There will be instructions and inspiration for new inexperienced meditators. The hosts, meditators and Kriya Yoga initiates for over 50 years, are direct disciples of Yogacharya J. Oliver Black one of Paramahansa Yogananda's most advanced male disciples. He is the founder of Golden Lotus, Inc., which owns & operates 'Song of the Morning' an 800 acre Yoga Retreat Northest of Gaylord, MI on the Pigeon River. Paramahansa Yogananda founded Self Realization Fellowship, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and is the author of the Spritual Classic, 'Autobiography of a Yogi.'

Join us for the next gathering of The Pause Collective — a supportive meetup for neurodivergent women navigating perimenopause, menopause, burnout, overwhelm, and life transitions.
Since many of us haven't yet had the opportunity to meet, we'll begin by getting to know one another and sharing what brought us to this community.
We'll also explore one of the most common challenges many women experience during this season of life: sleep.
Whether you're navigating insomnia, waking up in the middle of the night, racing thoughts, night sweats, exhaustion, burnout, or simply not feeling rested, you're not alone.
This will be a relaxed, low-pressure coffee shop meetup focused on connection and conversation.
No need to prepare anything.
No pressure to share.
Come as you are.
Together we'll:
• Introduce ourselves and get to know one another
• Share what brought us to The Pause Collective
• Discuss sleep, rest, and energy during perimenopause and menopause
• Exchange ideas, experiences, and support
• Explore what topics we'd like to discuss in future gatherings
• Continue building the kind of community we'd like to create together
This space is neurodivergent-affirming, self-diagnosis-friendly, and supportive of different communication styles and energy levels.
Quiet participation is welcome. Listening is participating.
