We have scheduled **six separate boat trips to photograph the birdlife on the Farne Islands,** and our lovely accommodation is close to **one of the world's great coastal castles, Bamburgh Castle!**

We’ll follow the **green route** (as shown on the map) from Seaford to Eastbourne, passing by **Cuckmere Haven**, the iconic white cliffs of the **Seven Sisters**, and the breathtaking views at **Beachy Head** before arriving at Eastbourne’s charming promenade and pier. Expect several climbs and descents, but the dramatic coastal scenery makes every step worthwhile. In summer, you’ll also have the chance to cool off with a dip in the sea along the way.
> **Safety Note**: The cliffs are crumbly and prone to collapse, so please keep at least 5 meters from the edge.

Kayaking Events This Week
Discover what is happening in the next few days
Kayaking on the River Thames with Pub stop. Kew to Richmond & back.
A great way to experience kayaking or canoeing on the Thames as a first timer or newish paddler with reasonable fitness (2hrs of actual paddling), with [Edge Progressive Paddling](https://edgepaddling.com/). The session will be led by a very experienced Coach who will keep you safe and provide instruction. Meet at the Kew Bridge arches (Brentford side - see map). We will paddle upstream with the tide, along the beautiful section of the river besides Kew Gardens and Syon Park. We will take a 30 minute break at the White Cross Pub, Richmond while the tide turns and return with the tide to Kew Bridge. Approximate total distance is 10KM.
Boat, paddle & buoyancy aid will be provided. Dress for the weather: man-made fibres that don't hold water, an extra layer for the pub stop, waterproof if it looks like rain; for your feet closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting muddy e.g. old trainers, wetsuit boots or water shoes. You may get a bit wet so bring a change of clothing and shoes for afterwards. Changing facilities are available at the arches - arrive a little early please if you need to change beforehand.
Cost £25. The cost of the taster session can be discounted from [annual membership](https://edgepaddling.com/membership/) if you join the club.
Please arrive promptly or you may literally miss the boat. All participants must be able to swim.

Shaded Sunday wander through Epping Forest
Join us for a leafy lovely leafy wander along good flat paths through the centuries old beauty of Epping Forest. We'll wind through tall oak trees and hornbeams, punctuated by occasional ponds and clearings, and end with the option of celebratory drink in a local pub. If you are not a regular walker, do join us - there will be options to leave the hike early and take the tube if you are tired.

21km hike through Sussex featuring Ardingly Reservoir, scenic woodland trails, rolling countryside, and the iconic Ouse Valley Viaduct.
Join Trail Therapy for a scenic 21km countryside hike through the heart of Sussex, combining peaceful reservoir paths, woodland trails, rolling hills, and the iconic Ouse Valley Viaduct.
Starting near Ardingly Reservoir, this route takes us through some of the area’s most beautiful landscapes, with a mix of forests, open countryside, panoramic viewpoints, and picturesque trails along the way. The highlight of the day is the breathtaking Ouse Valley Viaduct, one of the South East’s most impressive landmarks.
This is a relaxed and social group hike designed for people who enjoy a proper day outdoors, good conversations, and escaping the city for a while. Whether you come solo or with friends, expect a welcoming group atmosphere and plenty of great scenery throughout the day.
