A great way to experience kayaking or canoeing on the Thames as a first timer or newish paddler with reasonable fitness (2hrs of actual paddling), with [Edge Progressive Paddling](https://edgepaddling.com/). The session will be led by a very experienced Coach who will keep you safe and provide instruction. Meet at the Kew Bridge arches (Brentford side - see map). We will paddle upstream with the tide, along the beautiful section of the river besides Kew Gardens and Syon Park. We will take a 30 minute break at the White Cross Pub, Richmond while the tide turns and return with the tide to Kew Bridge. Approximate total distance is 10KM. Boat, paddle & buoyancy aid will be provided. Dress for the weather: man-made fibres that don't hold water, an extra layer for the pub stop, waterproof if it looks like rain; for your feet closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting muddy e.g. old trainers, wetsuit boots or water shoes.
