Central London Meetup No events UFN until temporary stand-in host is found
No events UFN until a temporary stand-in host is found. A nice pub to meet in near Oxford Circus for our group's weekly pub event. They have a nice menu with reasonable prices. It should be quieter on a Tuesday evening than near or at the weekend. Though I have an interest in Japan all nationalities of course are welcome in our group.
There will be an Ayamei sign on one of the tables in the comfortable lounge upstairs. Any problems getting there or any questions my phone number is 07706964277. Bill

Kyrgyzstan is famous for snowy peaks, high alpine meadows, broad grasslands filled with the fragrances of plants and flowers, clear mountain rivers, and serene mirrored lakes scattered among the tall peaks. This tour to Kyrgyzstan introduces you to these wild natural spots, as well as the ancient history of the Silk Road. From a luxury yurt camp in beautiful surroundings to watching locals play horse sports or hunt with eagles and to the towns and villages with their exotic bazaars, this will be a unique, off-the-beaten-track experience.
**Itinerary**
**Day One - Bishkek**

**Day Two - Bishkek - Chon Kemin Vally**

We then visit Don Aryk Village where we will watch horseback riding games at the local hippodrome.
A local family will provide us with lunch.

Next is the Russian Orthodox Holy Trinity Church whose story goes back to 1869 when Karakol was basically a garrison town established as an outpost on the edges of the Tsarist Russian Empire and a church was needed to serve the Cossacks and other troops.

London Scuba Diving Group - Monthly Mingle Session
We are based at the Bridge Tap at London Bridge.
Come and join us for our monthly social. It is important to note that the group will have an area reserved. We will reserve a corner sofa area so should be easy to locate on the night. We will also have meetup signs as well. The staff will also be aware of our group so by all means ask on arrival. You will be able to spot us as you walk into the pub.
As a result of the group having increased in size and the large number of divers attending the social evenings we have changed venue so we have more space and so that we can have an outside area during the warmer summer months. Come and join us!!!
As the pub is a Stonegate pub they have a great variety of ales and all drinks. They have the fantastic ale library which has over 20+ ales and a whisky showcase. They also have a great variety of good quality wines and food as well.
POSTCODE FOR GOOGLEMAPS = The Bridge Tap - 32–34 Borough High Street, London - London Bridge, SE1 1XU
This venue is right in the heart of London Bridge. It is well known for a large selection of craft beers. We will be located in one of the corner sofas which has enough room for 20+ and provides the group with a much better location.
This is a monthly meetup to enable all members to have an input on future meetups and enable everyone to meet new members and encourage introductions. We now have at least 20 divers at every monthly social. Why not come down and join us for a drink and meet the group. It will also be a chance to provide an outline of future trips and diving destinations and provide further information on existing scheduled diving trips if anyone has any questions. This meet up might be an opportunity to meet members who have booked on the same trip as you in advance of your departure. We look forward to seeing you all.
DIRECTIONS
The easiest way to get to the bar is from London Bridge Station. You will need to exit onto any Borough High Street Exit from London Bridge Underground Station. You will then need to walk further down Borough High Street for a few metres. You can see the Bridge Tap Pub marked on the map below for easy location.

🔴🏞️ Day Trip & Hike: Cheddar Gorge (Private Minicoach) 🚌 [FULL]
Cheddar Gorge is England’s largest gorge, stretching for three miles, with cliffs rising nearly 400 feet (122 meters) high. It was formed roughly 1.2 million years ago during the last Ice Age, carved out by melting glaciers and ancient river. In 1903, the oldest, almost complete human skeleton in Britain, the 10,000 year old "Cheddar Man" was discovered in Gough’s Cave.
We are heading to the birthplace of Cheddar cheese! Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company still matures its cheese inside these caves today - you can even purchase some to take home.

Ayano Kaneko Live at O2 Academy, June 3rd
Our friends at RAN/DHP touring are bringing across the amazing Ayano Kaneko:
**Ayano Kaneko** is one of Japan's most compelling and authentic voices in contemporary indie music — a singer-songwriter who has built a devoted following entirely on her own terms.
She has sold out the iconic Nippon Budokan — Japan's most legendary concert hall. At Fuji Rock Festival 2023, she performed as sub-headliner, cementing her status as a genuine festival force.
She has taken a resolutely independent path, blending elements of folk, punk, rock and poetic singer-songwriter storytelling. Ayano has built a devoted following through emotionally honest songs and electrifying live performances rather than complying with mainstream hype. This has led to her becoming of Japan’s most respected independent artists. Don't miss your chance to see an artist who is selling out arenas at home, in a more intimate setting here in London.
This is a ticketed event, please get tickets from here:

Folkestone → Deal Coastal Traverse (27k)
We are taking on 18 miles along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the UK. Think sea air, big open views, quiet chats as we walk, and that steady rhythm you only get on a long hike.
It is not just about the distance - it is about the experience.
The moments where the group spreads out, then comes back together.
The snack breaks that somehow taste better by the sea.
That feeling when your legs are tired, but your head feels clear.
**The plan:**
Distance: 18.5 miles
Difficulty: Hard
Time: 8–9 hrs
Train tickets: purchase off-peak return to do Dover Priory with national rail card.
Sea views + cliffs + iconic Kent coastline
We will start in Deal and follow the coast towards the cliffs, moving at a steady, social pace. There will be time to pause, take it in, and enjoy it — no rush, no pressure, just a shared challenge.
By the end, you’ll have walked 18 miles, met some great people, and probably feel a little different than when you started (in a good way).
**Bring:**
* Comfortable walking shoes / boots
* Water and snacks
* Weather-appropriate clothing
**⚠️ Important: Refund Policy & Weather Notice**
This hike runs rain or shine. No refunds are available, but spots can be transferred with 48 hours’ notice.

The LSC Spring Sail - Flotilla Holiday on Idyllic Turkish Coast
***PLEASE NOTE:*** *Signup for our events must be made through the London Sailing Club website, and not via Meetup - [click here to register](https://www.londonsailing.club/Events/Calendar/View?id=179). If you are not already a member of the club you will need to become a full or social member which you can do [by clicking here](https://www.londonsailing.club/Registration/Register?isSlotReAssignment=False).*
Are you looking for a fun, sociable week of sailing in the glorious Mediterranean sunshine? Come and join us for one of the LSC’s premier events of the year as we explore the stunning Turkish coastline one beautiful bay at a time! The Turkish coast has a justifiable reputation for being one of the very best regions to sail in the Mediterranean - the winds are predictable, the waters are warm and the sea is crystal clear. Coupled with idyllic anchorages, local hospitality and a great crowd of LSC members, you can be sure this will be a fantastic trip! This relaxed flotilla is suitable for people of all sailing abilities, including complete novices and is only open to LSC members.
**Plan:** The trip will start and end in the small town of Fethiye, just a short taxi ride from Dalaman airport. Once the skippers have completed the charter formalities and everyone has had chance to board the yachts, we will all congregate in Skopea Limani on the first evening and then sail together for the rest of the week. Our cruising itinerary will be tailored to the weather, but we plan to spend every evening in a gorgeous bay either moored at a restaurant pontoon, on a mooring buoy or at a town quay! There will also be a chance for some healthy inter-boat rivalry and some fun and games in the evenings! On the final Friday, there will be a farewell dinner ashore before we depart the yachts at 9am on Saturday morning. Some members will head straight to the airport, whereas others may organise to stay on for another day or two in the sunshine.
**Yachts:** To ensure comfort and space for everyone we will charter 44-54’ yachts with 4-6 cabins, multiple bathrooms, a spacious galley and all the mod cons you would expect on a luxury yacht including a large drinks fridge and hot and cold running water!! There will be lots of chances to get involved in all aspects of the sailing but also to chill and sunbathe on the spacious decks if you wish. Due to availability of yachts, the exact make and model will vary however they will all be similar in size and offer the same level of comfort and facilities.
**Accommodation** will be in *shared double or twin cabins*, no-one will be asked to sleep in the saloon, and everyone will get a cabin berth. We often get asked if cabins are available for sole occupancy and, of course that’s fine, however we can only accommodate this if you agree to cover the full charter cost of the other space in the cabin. As an LSC members only trip you may well prefer to share with someone you know well so please feel free to express any preferences and we will do our best to balance all requests. You will never be asked to share with someone of a different gender.
**Skippers:** Mike Johns will lead the flotilla and skipper one of the yachts with all other yachts being skippered by experienced LSC members including Sally Barney, Sara McNeillis, Nick Roffey and Jonathan King. Crews will be allocated to different boats to ensure there is a good mix of abilities on all yachts. All skippers are familiar with the Turkish coast so you will be in safe hands regardless of which boat you are on. In line with the Clubs ethos of encouraging newly qualified skippers to gain some invaluable experience, we encourage LSC members who are part of the *Take the Helm* scheme to put themselves forward. This will be to help participate in some of the skippers’ tasks, albeit they will be at the yacht skipper’s discretion, but also knowing they will have full support of a more experienced skipper on board.
**Cost:** The cost is £975 per person to be paid in 2 instalments:
* £500 at the time of booking to secure your place
* £475 due Friday 20th March 2026
The cost includes yacht charter, security deposit, dinghy, boat fuel, cooking gas, moorings, bed linen, towels and end-cleaning along with breakfasts, lunches, snacks and soft drinks. A small amount of alcoholic beverages (beers and wine only, no spirits) will also be provided to get things started but once its gone, the yacht won’t be re-stocked with alcoholic drinks so if you have a particular tipple, please feel free to bring some along! The price does not include flights to/from Turkey, any shore-based accommodation, transfers between the airport and the charter base (approx. £30 per taxi), evening meals or drinks ashore.
Note that, because this trip is being advertised via the London Sailing Club’s platforms, any participant who is not already a full member of the Club (which costs £24 per year) will need to join prior to the start of the trip. This is a commercial trip run by Mike Johns and Sailscape for the London Sailing Club.
**Flight info**: The closest international airport in Dalaman. Various airlines offer cheap flights however please note most flights land quite late in the day, often around midnight, so you will probably need to arrive in Turkey on Friday 5th June
Sailscape T&Cs apply and will be sent to all participants in advance of confirming booking and are available on request at any time.
By responding to this London Sailing Club (‘LSC’) trip, you acknowledge and agree that the principal purpose of the LSC is to provide a forum for members of the LSC to engage in social activities. The Event Host is an occasional Event Host and not a professional organiser (as such term is defined under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018); accordingly, this event shall not be construed as a package tour or package holiday.

**Weather permitting**, we’ll take a casual ride from Pickerington Ponds (Glacier Knoll) to Three Creeks and back.
Distance is **18–25 miles**, depending on where we turn around and whether we add a side loop.
Pace is around **12 mph**, but this is a fun, no‑drop ride — we can slow down as needed.
Here’s the **map** showing Glacier Knoll (bike), Confluence Park (flag), and BrewDog: [https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit..](https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit..).
Text or call Scott at **614‑975‑4458** if you’re coming.
