A great way to experience kayaking and Canoeing on the Thames as a first timer or newish paddler, with [Edge Progressive Paddling](https://edgepaddling.com/). The session will be led by a very experienced Coach who will keep you safe and provide instruction. Meet at the Kew Bridge arches (Brentford side - see map). We will paddle downstream with the tide, stop at the White Hart in Barnes for quick break while the tide turns and return with the tide to Kew Bridge. Afterwards, there will be an optional Social in a local pub! Boat, paddle & buoyancy aid will be provided. Dress for the weather: man-made fibres that don't hold water, an extra layer for the pub stop, waterproof if it looks like rain; for your feet closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting muddy e.g. old trainers, wetsuit boots or water shoes. You may get a bit wet so bring a change of clothing and shoes for afterwards. Changing facilities are available at the arches - arrive a little early please if you need to change beforehand. Cost £20. The cost of the taster session can be discounted from [annual membership](https://edgepaddling.com/membership/) if you join the club.
