The Book:
A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose
by
Eckhart Tolle
The highly anticipated follow-up to the 2,000,000 copy bestselling inspirational book, "The Power of Now"
With his bestselling spiritual guide "The Power of Now," Eckhart Tolle inspired millions of readers to discover the freedom and joy of a life lived ?in the now.? In "A New Earth," Tolle expands on these powerful ideas to show how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world. Tolle describes how our attachment to the ego creates the dysfunction that leads to anger, jealousy, and unhappiness, and shows readers how to awaken to a new state of consciousness and follow the path to a truly fulfilling existence. "The Power of Now" was a question-and-answer handbook. "A New Earth" has been written as a traditional narrative, offering anecdotes and philosophies in a way that is accessible to all. Illuminating, enlightening, and uplifting, "A New Earth" is a profoundly spiritual manifesto for a better way of life? and for building a better world.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Kind regards
Mary

đ Books & Social đ¸
đReading books and discussing them are two distinct experiences! Conversations about books and sharing insights help us better appreciate literature and enrich our lives.
Let's grab a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and discuss books we're currently reading or have recently enjoyedâwhether poetry, fiction, or non-fiction. Bring your physical book or e-reader.
There's no formal structure or agendaâjust books and good conversation.đŹ
It's a perfect place to get book recommendations and rediscover your reading momentum if you've hit a slump. We welcome readers of all backgrounds and interests!
â ď¸**Something Happened?**
If something unpleasant happened to you, it may happen to others. Even if it seems minor, don't hesitate to reach out to me.
đ **How to find us?**
* When I reach the venue, I'll leave a comment in the meetup where the group is seated. Normally, the booking is in my name, so you can ask the staff for the group.
* If you're unable to find us, leave a comment in the meetup page. I'll be able to guide you.
We highly encourage you to move between tables and strike up conversations with fellow book lovers. These discussions about literature and reading recommendations are often the highlight of the event!
As an organizer, I'm always looking for feedback about the event and suggestions for new events, so feel free to suggest ideas to me. đĄ
I look forward to seeing you all! đ

Sound of Soul, Spiritual Lunch and Video
**Sound of Soul 11:00 am**
In many spiritual traditions, sound plays an important part in uplifting the individual. The sound of HU is a key to open your heart to Godâs loving presence in your life. This simple prayer, singing *HU*, can change you. It can open your eyes to see clearly the miracles happening around you every day.
Throughout the ages, followers of many spiritual traditions have used the singing of holy words to bring themselves closer to God. In the same way, those who have discovered HU, an ancient name for God, sing it for their spiritual upliftment.
Regardless of your beliefs or religion, you can sing HU to become happier and more secure in God's love. You have the potential for greater happiness, love, and understanding. Singing HU can bring these to youâthrough the Light and Sound of God.
Come join us for the Sound of Soul event, where we sing HU for about twenty minutes, followed by a brief silent contemplation. After we can chat and discuss any spiritual questions you may have.
**Spiritual Lunch 12:15 pm**
For lunch, we bring food to share with each other and have some conversation, cheer and companionship together.

Holiday Brunch & a Movie: MARTY SUPREME at the Drexel Theatre!
Join us as we get together for an Oscar Watch film thatâs also one of the yearâs best: MARTY SUPREME! Timothee Chalamet delivers a âcareer-best performanceâ in this film that follows a young man with a dream no one respects, who goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness. Marty Supreme has already been named a Top 10 Film of the Year by IndieWire, Vulture, the BBC, Entertainment Weekly, Vanity Fair, the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute and is well on its way to being one of the most nominated films at this yearâs Oscars! Hereâs a description, trailer and plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: This ping pong drama is set in New York City during the 1950s where table tennis star Marty goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness. It is loosely based on the life of famed table tennis player Marty Reisman. The film is directed (and co-written) by Josh Safdie and stars TimothĂŠe Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher.
TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYSHiII4D-Y
EARLY BUZZ & REVIEWS: The film premiered to âoverwhelmingly positiveâ reviews at this yearâs New York Film Festival! Timothee Chalamet immediately shot to the top of the Best Actor race with a âcareer best performanceâ in a film described as an âawe inspiring cinematic tour-de-force!â Others call it, âan absolute blast of adrenalineâ and a âpure delight,â âthat soars from start to finish!â The film is earning a Certified Fresh 96% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes where Variety calls it, âone of the yearâs few masterpieces!â Slash Film declares, âThis is unquestionably the best performance of TimothĂŠe Chalamet's career, and Marty Supreme is one of the best movies of the year. I can't wait to watch it again!â
PLAN: For MARTY SUPREME at the Drexel, please purchase your ticket for the 3:30pm showing and weâll meet in the lobby area between 3:10 and 3:20pm! Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater but be sure to mention youâre with the Movie Group for admission and concession discounts! Buzz and excitement for the film are off the charts and (aside from a pair of great international films), this will be our last major Oscar Watch film of the season! BRUNCH BEFORE THE SHOW: We'll plan for Brunch before the show at the Columbus Brewing Company Beer Hall, located a short distance away. Movie is open as long as tickets are available. Seating is limited so separate RSVP required for the Brunch portion of this event.
