Adam Ferrara is an Actor, Comedian who Entertainment Weekly dubbed “Hilarious,” and co-hosted the critically acclaimed BBC sensation, Top Gear US, for six seasons. Some of his TopGear highlights include jumping a ‘76 Coupe de Ville Cadillac 46 ft in the air, getting a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta up to 180mph, hang gliding a mustang off a cliff and driving one of the original 1966 MK II GT40 which won Le Mans. He starred in the AOL series “In the Drivers Seat with Adam Ferrara,” sponsored by Jaguar and Range Rover and was an online host for “The Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction.” Growing up on Long, Island Ferrara got his love for muscle cars from his father who could fix anything while Adam’s only job would be holding the light. Join us on what looks to be a beautiful spring evening for the monthly Dupont ArtWalk. We’ll start at Hillyer in the alley behind the Phillips Collection as they celebrate the opening of the new exhibition *Modern Movements* organized in partnership with the Art Museum of the Americas – one of my favorite museums in DC. The exhibition will be on view during the months of April and May and will be held in all three galleries. From there (around 6:20) we’ll head to Studio Gallery and then the wonderful new Vika where Ram Brisueño, a Baltimore- based, self-taught collagist, opens his show. (That’s his artwork above.) His collage paintings use flowers blooming from, out of, and surrounding human figures to represent a halo-like presence of our best selves. From there we’ll have a choice between the Korean Cultural Center, The Washington Hilton, Dupont Underground and the Middle East Institute. We will be walking a bit but the weather should be nice for it. Hope you can join us!

Join us for the Friday Night Fitness Skate! A 12 or 8 mile fitness skate that skates the same route each week so you will know the route and pavement hazards (since it is dark) and be able to work on form, endurance or speed as the cold wind is pushing against you! ;) The route has nice long stretches of uninterrupted skating, open roads with very few cars and the regroups are short and infrequent. We will meet at Freedom Plaza at 7pm as long as it is not raining, snowing and the pavement is not wet or icy. We’ll warm up with a skate to the Capital and then skate along the mall and museums to the National Monument. We will then head to the Lincoln Memorial through the World War II Memorial. From the Lincoln we will proceed to Haynes Point down Ohio Drive with the option to take the 3 mile Haynes Point loop (12 mile total skate) or practice stops or stunts at the regroup spot while others skate the loop (8.5 mile total skate.) The skate is mostly flat on good pavement with a small slope coming down from the Washington Monument and a 40 yard small slop from the Lincoln to Ohio Drive and a couple patches here and there. The wind can be very strong and cold especially on Ohio Drive and Haynes Point as we skate adjacent to the water. Please feel free to jazz up your gear with lights, I wear a helmet bike light (since it is pretty dark) and a set of body lights. Most of the regulars skate with lighted wheels for fun! Wear your lights so you have fun, can see and be seen! In case of bad weather, I will update this post via the comment section around 6pm on Friday. Of course, all skating is at your own risk. HHH Spring Edition. Does disappearing into the wilderness with a group of strangers put you on edge? Then come to a casual happy hour and get to know us first. This is a great time to meet your fellow outdoor enthusiasts and get connected - without needing to gear up. This time, let's go to DC and check out The Crown & Crow (Logan Circle). 7pm. The Crown & Crow is a massive underground bar with a speakeasy feel. The only signage outside is a gold emblem of a crow with a crown on it's head. This is our once a year run to the Cherry Blossoms. We will start at Roosevelt Island at the crosswalk in the center of parking lot. Afterwards stay for coffee, we'll wander up to Rosslyn and either meet in Compass or, if the weather is nice enough, at the Plaza opposite the Metro. Socrates Café meets on the first Saturday of each month. Though this may be considered a "philosophical" group, there are no rules as to what is discussed. Usually, the topics revolve around social concerns, morality, and the first principles of things. Prior to each meeting we vote online for the questions we will discuss. That way, we will have enough time to ruminate on them and have more in-depth conversations. If you RSVP to a meeting, you may post your question in the event comments section below. I'll send out a survey for voting a few days prior to the meetup. We discuss two questions each night. So you will get to cast two votes in the survey. When we meet, we break into smaller groups of five to seven to discuss the top two vote-getters. Each group discusses one question for around 45-50 minutes, and we then take a short break. Come out and run with us along the shady Anacostia Tributary Trails! These runs tend to be longer than our other club runs. Average mileage is 4-6 miles, but some members might go farther (and others shorter). We meet in front of Mission BBQ at 8:00AM for introductions, then walk over together to the Indian Creek Trailhead. We are always happy to welcome new faces (and feet)!

**Meet at the trail head at the Sweetgum picnic area.** Come out and join us on the newly surfaced, rolling hills of Greenbelt National Park. This run through Greenbelt National Park consists of two loop that comes out to roughly 3 miles. With 3 hills (run twice), this is a great way to get hills in before breakfast. Both walkers and runners are welcome.
