Come Play: Stupor Mundi and Other Nestore Mangone Games
Come Play: Stupor Mundi and Other Nestore Mangone Games
We will play ***Stupor Mundi***. However, we only have one copy, and it only plays 4 players. If we get more than 4 RSVPs, we will play additional Nestore Mangone designed games, such as ***Shackleton Base: A Journey to the Moon***. If you can bring copies of either of these games, let us know in the comments. From the publisher about ***Stupor Mundi***: Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Germany and Italy, was a man of extraordinary culture, energy, and ability. His contemporaries called him "stupor mundi" ("the wonder of the world"), and many historians consider him Europe's first modern ruler. The kingdom Frederick established in Sicily and southern Italy ran on an efficient bureaucracy similar to modern, centrally governed kingdoms. As one of Frederick II's vassals in ***Stupor Mundi***, you will summon allies from around the Mediterranean, build structures in your castle, and promote specialists to improve your kingdom. You may improve your chances by upgrading your castles: towers house additional allies, walls store more resources, and keeps aid in managing action cards. Through a clever card-selection mechanism, you will have to choose actions carefully, some of which will trigger edicts that affect Frederick's palace and determine the rewards players may receive from their allies. Do you stay loyal to the Emperor, or do you support independent allies? Keep a close eye on what your opponents do and form alliances at the right time — or go your own way when things get too heated...

Peer-Led Meditations: a Gathering of Shared Insight and Heartfelt Presence
A Gathering of Shared Insight and Heartfelt Presence Join us for an evening of community and connection as we gather for Peer-Led Meditations—a space where we lovingly share our insights, experiences, and meditative practices within the support of a nurturing circle. You are welcome to simply come and receive, or, if you feel called, to guide the group in a short meditation that has brought meaning or clarity to your own path. Each person who chooses to lead will have 5–15 minutes to introduce and guide their meditation, followed by a brief time for gentle reflection and shared feedback. Whether you are new to meditation or a long-time practitioner, this is a beautiful opportunity to practice authentic expression, explore new techniques, and deepen your connection with others on the path of awakening. First Timers: All are welcome—simply bring an open mind and a respectful heart. No prior experience is needed. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to settle in, explore the grounds, or visit our crystal shop before we begin. Important Directions: The address is 15406 Riding Stable Road. The property is located at the end of a ½-mile driveway leading into the woods. Please drive slowly (under 10 MPH) to minimize dust and maintain harmony with our shared neighbors. Silent Saturday Retreat: Healing Meditations
Silent Saturday Retreat: Healing Meditations
**Silent Saturday Retreat: Healing Meditations** *The Magical Practice of Taking & Giving w/Kadam Michelle* The practice of taking and giving is one of the most powerful methods for opening our hearts and healing our mental and physical illnesses. This ancient practice brings mental peace and happiness and is especially helpful in situations where we may otherwise feel powerless to directly help others or overcome adversity. Taking and giving is a well-known healing meditation practice. In this retreat, we will learn to heal our mind and enhance our love, compassion, and wisdom. The morning consists of three, thirty minute meditations, with thirty minutes of silence in between each session to enjoy quiet reflection and let your mind go deeper into an experience of meaning and peace. The last half hour of the morning will be a discussion and question and answer session to help you consolidate what you would like to bring with you from the retreat into your daily life. Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary. **Registration**: $30 \| $15 You can register at the door or [pre-register online](https://meditation-dc.org/event/silent-saturday-healing-meditations-the-magical-practice-of-taking-and-giving/). **Event Schedule** 10-10:30am: Guided Meditation 11-11:30am: Guided Meditation 12-12:30pm: Guided Meditation 12:30pm-1pm: Q&A

Sundays! Free Breath and Meditation Workshop
Sundays! Free Breath and Meditation Workshop
So, the world of meditation has a lot to offer, and you have heard it all. This Meetup is about discovering the EXPERIENCE of meditation. Come check us out - volunteer meditation instructors from the Maryland Community will help lead you into the East's best kept relaxation secret, meet like-minded people, and in general have a fun time. As an added bonus, you will also get to experience some of the Art of Living Foundation's breathing programs and get an insight into what makes the Sudharshan Kriya tick. Try saying it 10 times in a row for some tongue twister fun! Anyways, your group lead is likely to be young, fun, a professional who does this on a volunteer basis, might have an accent, smiles a lot (yeah, meditation does that to you)... and at the end of the day, is a meditation instructor par excellence. We are trying to hold meetups across MD but, for now, we will stick to the one free venue we have. Let us know if you want to host one of the meditation Meetups at your venue.. somewhere in MD though!

Village Idiots Improv Comedy: Beginners
Village Idiots Improv Comedy: Beginners
This is a MeetUp for those interested in practicing improv comedy with the Village Idiots' group's Improv Comedy group currently led by our wonderful host Grass. We will play some introductory games geared towards beginners/those who are curious about improv. Don't be shy, embrace your inner child/dark side and jump right in :) This is a judgment free zone so be as insane as you'd like! Think of this as a cathartic release from your daily rigid life, just the same as laughing when the Terrifier clown is on a killing spree or when you're using cheat codes in a Grand Theft Auto game... After all, bad living is good improv! (No people are actually harmed in the exercises, obviously). All are welcome, and the more, the merrier!

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!
