Mentor Sharing: Selling to Large Corporations: What Startups Must Get Right
Join us for an insightful sharing session led by Mr. Richard Lord (Senior Partner, Pangolin), where we will uncover what it really takes for startups to win and deliver successfully when selling to large corporations.
In today’s enterprise environment, big corporates require more than an innovative product—they look for strong enterprise-grade technology, a startup company that is ready for the full selling journey, and founders/teams who can present their proposition clearly to the right stakeholders. As deals move from initial evaluation into procurement reviews and ultimately contract negotiations, readiness in all three areas becomes critical to success.
Don’t miss out on the chance to learn directly from an experienced enterprise deal specialist and connect with fellow founders and entrepreneurs who are ready to take their business to the next level.

Anchors: What Remains Unchanged
*"To be rooted is perhaps the most important and least recognized need of the human soul." — Simone Weil*
**What is the one thing about you that has stayed the same, even as the world around you has completely changed?**
In a world full of strict routines and sudden changes, there is a constant pressure to be adaptable. We are told to adjust quickly and flow like water around obstacles. When life moves so fast, staying unbound is often praised as the ultimate way to live.
But the push for an untethered life brings its own quiet challenge. As we try to keep up with our surroundings, how do we avoid losing ourselves in the process? What is the difference between a heavy chain that holds us back, and a reliable anchor that keeps us centered in the storm?
Join us at this Curious Souls Cafe gathering to explore the balance between staying adaptable and staying grounded. We will discuss the core values we hold most dear, the daily habits that save our sanity, and how to tell the difference between healthy flexibility and losing our true selves.
Bring your stories, a reflective spirit, and an open mind. Let's discover what holds us steady, together.
**Inviting all who are...**
⚓ Exploring whether "anchors" are necessary for our well-being, or if they are just heavy baggage
🌊 Balancing the desire to be highly adaptable with the need to protect a quiet, stable core
⚖️ Reflecting on the personal truths that have survived the many phases and transitions of their lives
☕ Seeking a warm, deeply reflective space to talk about what truly matters most
🗣️ Believing that while we are always growing, there is a beautiful stillness at the center of who we are
📅 Agenda / What You'll Experience
💬 Prompted Conversations
We will use virtual question cards designed to help people thoughtfully explore the foundations of their identities. Here are some sample questions:
* Are "anchors" (like deep attachments to people, places, or routines) necessary to keep us grounded, or do they eventually just hold us back?
* How do you tell the difference between gracefully adapting to a new environment and accidentally losing yourself to it?
* Think back to who you were ten years ago. What is one core trait or belief that has remained steadily intact?
* Have you ever realized that a specific "anchor" you relied on for years was actually just keeping you stuck in place?
From there, we’ll embark on a respectful, engaging, and meaningful conversation, celebrating the diversity of perspectives and ideas within the group.
Note: This session may involve virtual question cards accessed via a link or QR code. If you do not have a device (phone/tablet) to access these, please ask a facilitator for assistance; we have spare units available. The exact format of the event may change depending on turnout according to [https://curioussouls.cafe/#how-to](https://curioussouls.cafe/#how-to) and other factors.
💬 Final Thoughts and Feedback
Where time allows, in the final 10 minutes of the event, we’ll take a moment to reflect on the key insights, memorable moments, and takeaways from our discussions. This is a chance to distill the shared wisdom and leave with a deeper understanding of the topics we’ve explored together.
After the event officially concludes, the group may choose to extend the session, depending on the group’s interest. Of course, you’re welcome to leave at any time that feels right for you.
An anonymized summary will be shared for sessions where key insights are identified. After the meeting, our facilitators and participants may reflect on the discussion and contribute to a summary or collaborative workbook based on their notes and observations. Additionally, questions may be revisited in future sessions in an anonymized manner. To explore what our events are like, check out our official website at [https://curioussouls.cafe](https://curioussouls.cafe)

Resonance & Ritual: Candle-Lit Sound Journey with Tea Ceremony
*An intimate evening for deep rest, reflection, and renewal.*
**Resonance and Ritual: Sound Journey & Tea Ceremony**
Step out of the Hong Kong work rhythm and into an evening of nervous system restoration, deep presence, and gentle connection. **Resonance and Ritual** is a small-group sound journey and tea ceremony created especially for busy professionals who want to slow down without “checking out” of their lives.

Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking!
• What we'll do
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:

10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you!

Whatever you need to be able to write!

See you at The Café on Saturday!
Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have.
Happy writing!
