UNCORKED: THIRTY @ Barcelona Wine Bar 14th St
\*\* Tickets are $71.50 ($65 + tax) and can be purchased [here](https://www.exploretock.com/barcelona-wine-bar-14th-street/event/609847/uncorked-thirty)[.](https://www.exploretock.com/barcelona-wine-bar-14th-street/event/594770/terroir-uncorked) \*\*
UNCORKED is a walk-around tasting where they open 30 different bottles from their award-winning wine list. For their 30th birthday, UNCORKED becomes a wine retrospective: a one-night look back at some of the most iconic, storied, and unforgettable wines on their list. The classics. The cult favorites. The holy sh\*t bottles.
They’ll be opening bottles like Nucerro, which is more than a wine to them at this point — it’s Barcelona folklore. Gramona La Cuvée, from a family making sparkling wine in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia since 1816, with an operation that still manages to stop them in their tracks. And Rezabal, one of the benchmark producers of Txakoli, farming Hondarrabi Zuri just outside Zarautz on Spain’s Basque coast.
This night is a celebration of those wines, and of the relationships & memories that shaped their restaurant over the last thirty years. Each ticket includes access to all 30 featured wines, plus chef pairings and passed food throughout the evening.
Hope to see you there!

Charcuterie Board: Meaty Board Game Night
**A note from the organizers:** We see that this is becoming a popular event and so there's not a ton of space available for general non Patreon members rsvp'ing via meetup. Space is limited by how many volunteers we have to host games each month, and first access goes to the members of the Patreon who support everything DCGG does. We have the goal to train and provide additional staff for this event as we gain capacity.
**Note: If you are a member of the Patreon and have already secured early access via the form you do NOT need to RSVP on Meetup.**
By popular demand and with the amazing friendship of the Highbinder Bar, we are introducing the **Charcuterie Board!** These are meaty games for experienced tabletop players or players who are comfortable with complexity.
**About the Games**
This series will focus on bringing experienced tabletop fans and meaty games together. These games will include titles with rulesets that are a bit more complex, take a bit more time, and are often strategic and competitive.
DCGG will curate the games and provide trained game hosts to help get games going quickly and make sure all players are supported as they learn and engage with the games.
The month's games will be in the title of this event.
**Who this event is for:**
Self-declared board game enthusiasts and/or people people looking to get into the hobby of tabletop games. While our game hosts will be there to help explain the game and rules, this event is targeted at players who are comfortable learning lots of rules and dedicating a few hours to a single game. And as always, DCGG enforces polite and healthy play spaces.
**Not into complex games or just not ready for the meaty games?**
Please explore our other events, such as Meat You at Fat Pete's or Rhythm and Brews, which have more party-focused and easy- to mid-level games.
**What if we don't have enough players?**
Through the power of teamwork and friendship, we will find a way for everyone to play and have a good time. **Please arrive on time, or else your space will be forfeit (cuz we often cant wait for people to get games going).**
**BUT WAIT THERES MORE:**
If you are interested in becoming a Supporting Member and enjoying perks like:
***Early RSVP Access: **Supporting Members will get early access to RSVPing to regular events.
** *Town Hall meeting: **Supporting Members will be invited to participate in town halls and polls that will help determine how revenue past operating costs is directed.
*** Discounted Ticket: **In the event that DCGG hosts paid ticketed events in the future, Supporting Members will be offered discounted prices.
*The knowledge that you make all this possible!

DCAF will be providing some great raffle prizes - you won’t want to miss out!
Starter tokens will be provided, thanks to a generous donation from GameOn. You will need to purchase any additional tokens you may want after the starter set or elect to spend your Quest Log completions on more tokens.

DC Metro Crafts field trip @ Cleveland Park Library, NW
Join DC Metro Crafts for an additional meetup this month, this time in NW at the Cleveland Park library. It's about a block from the Cleveland Park metro. We'll be in the 2nd floor conference room.
Bring your own cross stitch, knitting, crochet, or other portable craft.
Come Play: Container
We will be playing the once hard-to-get, but now reprinted classic economic strategy game, **Container**.
The rules for Container are simple: build factories and warehouses, manufacture, ship, and auction containers. But the strategy is complex: set prices, time the market, and maximize profits. With minimal luck and plenty of negotiation, Container offers a tense and interactive experience full of clever deals and surprising market swings.
We will have multiple copies of the game. Let us know if you can bring yours. If we get more RSVPs than we have copies, we will play a second economic strategy game.
Sunday Boardgaming @ Panera
Open gaming at Panera! New players welcome. We have many games on hand or you can bring your own. We are happy to teach or learn one of yours.

Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code - Alan Barber
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.
