Get your kids book written! This is an un-hosted meetup for anyone who wants to come and write for a couple of hours in the company of other kids writers. It's a great way to move your project forward in a lovely arty atmosphere. The only rules are to say hello to other writers and leave them to work until 8:30 when you are free to have a chat. Our acclaimed Wednesday workshop returns - we'll be looking at Lorca's classic drama exploring fate, passion, and societal expectations. A bride elopes with her former lover on her wedding day, triggering deadly consequences. Rich in poetic symbolism and folk traditions, the play confronts love’s destructive force and the inevitability of death and honor. We will be working towards A FULL PRODUCTION in April 2026.. **All I want for Christmas** is… oh no, not more Mariah again (though her track Fantasy is still a dope tune). As it's a British tradition to go for a spirited drink on the eve of Christmas magic - how about joining to sip Pinot Noir, Guinness, French Martini or other another merry beverage over fun conversations encapsulating the holiday spirit? And then, when the mood hits and DJ is in full swing, singing random lines along to **Fairytale of New York** just like we did **Last Christmas**? Is it Xmas numero uno yet? Apparently this year some very questionable Kylie track has taken the crown! Whilst we await the the day of the big December miracle - as well as fun conversations and jokes - one of the resident DJs (not me) will be pumping out some Xmas party singalong crackers plus all usual feel good tunes for dancing **till 3am** whlst we do **another rock n roll xmas** glittery singalong - if the drinks flow endlessly, which no doubt they will....🍸🍻🍷🥂 This year we are back at the home of cool non-touristy music for real music fans - Camden - doing the **jingle bell rock** around the Xmas tree @ the Camden Eye - a neat cosy trendy young bar tucked away 13 second walk from the dusty but ponyless road adjoining Camden Tube station, 1.6 miles from Central London. First we will meet in the Elephant's Head for Pre-drinks and go to the Eye at 11pm for more socialising and dancing. For food there will be at least one fast food outlet opoosite the bar open till 5am. Come **Silent Night** midnight mass - the DJ will be in full musical effect droppin eurphoric bangers so if you live in North London (zone 1 or 2) or Central London then this will be perfect xmas eve drinks and music bash as you can literally walk home without having to worry about no public transport after 12am. Try to wear something chrismasie. And make sure you answer the important screening question on your fav xmas song (a prerequisite for attending to ensure you actually like and enjoy key elements of xmas!). And I'll personally buy the first mull wine infused larger-shandy for the first person that can correctly guess all of the famous xmas tunes I have referenced above!!! **\-\-\-\-Strict Attendance Limits\-\-\-** Those of you who are fellow Camden music nightlife lovers or regulars to my events, you'll know the venue is small, very selective and they have limited bar staff to work xmas eve. So if you're not confirmed, please do not turn up. I have set the RSVPs in expectation of a max 50% turnout, any more and security will stop letting people in because of capacity, and worst case we will all get thrown out to accommodate their regular locals and could get barred from my local! Walk length 6miles/10km (approx) linear. Epping Forest is one of a number of green spaces that lie just outside London. It covers around 6,000 acres of ancient woodland consisting of various tree species including oak and beech, many pollarded (pruned) from medieval times. The forest was a royal hunting ground and is now run and managed by The City of London Corporation that also manages Burnham Beeches and Hampstead Heath. Some features on this walk include Queen Elizabeth's Tudor hunting lodge (outside view), a number of lakes and ponds such as Connaught Water (named after the Duke of Connaught) aLoughton earthworks (Iron Age Camp) thought to date back to 500 BC. Meeting point for walk: Meet outside Chingford Rail Station for the walk to start at 13.10pm (after the train arrives). This is a linear hike and finishes at Leytonstone. There are some points when you could leave early. The 12.59pm from Walthamstone Central gets to Chingford for 13.10pm. This is linear walk and you can return via Leytonstone. Please bring snacks and water for the walk. The walk should finish at about 4.00pm, however the time may be earlier or later than this depending on the weather and pace. Chingford is in Zone 5 so you can use an oyster/debit or travel card.
