It begins with two half-sisters, Effia and Esi, born into different villages in 18th-century Ghana. The novel follows their descendants through eight generations, tracing the ripples of history from the Gold Coast to twentieth-century America. ​**All are welcome.** Whether you are on the final page, just starting out, or haven't picked it up yet, please join us.
