Sevenoaks Circular
A truly spectacular 9 mile walk that takes in the deer of Knowle Park and delightful Ighthman Mote.
We shall buy group return train tickets at 9.45am for the train at 10.13am that arrives at Sevenoaks at 10.37am.

Walk starts at 10.45am.
Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc, waterproof jacket and walking shoes or trainers.
You should have adequate insurance for this type of activity and be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour.
We shall take the train back to London from Sevenoaks at around 5pm.

This varied route from Knockholt Station showcases the quieter, less-trodden side of Kent, with plenty of ups and downs to keep things interesting.

As we loop south and west of Knockholt, we pass through secluded rural areas and tree-lined paths, with occasional long views across the Kent countryside.
The terrain is varied underfoot, making this a satisfying walk for those who enjoy a bit of challenge without anything technical. We finish by looping back into Knockholt via gentle tracks and woodland paths. This walk is ideal for regular walkers looking for a solid day out, or confident improvers ready to step up from gentler routes.

This weekend hackathon brings together LangChain and SurrealDB to explore how agents can move beyond demos by grounding themselves in structured, persistent context.
As agentic systems become more autonomous, their biggest failure mode isn’t model capability - it’s context. Agents struggle with accuracy, consistency, and reasoning when memory is shallow or unstructured. Knowledge graphs provide a powerful way to represent relationships, state, and history, enabling agents to reason over how things connect, not just what text is retrieved.
Over the weekend, you’ll build practical agent projects using the LangChain ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on knowledge graphs and real-world retrieval workflows, using SurrealDB as a unified data layer for graph, document, vector, and temporal data.
You’ll also have plenty of time to connect with both the LangChain and SurrealDB communities in London, collaborate with other builders, and get hands-on support from mentors.

This is a ***new*** ⭐️gorgeous *point-to-point* countryside adventure **from Bentley to Farnham**, weaving through the peaceful trails of **Alice Holt Forest**. We’ll take our time under **towering pines and woodland paths**.
After lunch, we continue into a stunning stretch of open woodland and heathland—a **cinematic landscape** that’s been used as a filming location for major productions including **Gladiators, Thor and Napoleon**. Expect big skies, wide sandy tracks, and that “wait… are we on a film set?” kind of vibe .
A relaxed, scenic finish brings us into Farnham, with plenty of chances for photos, good chats, and forest-bathing energy along the way. ✨

🌿 Women’s Day Walk: A Cozy East London Gathering (Women Only)
This Women’s Day, we’re gathering for something simple and meaningful - a relaxed, walk-focused afternoon dedicated to celebrating small wins, good conversation, and the kind of growth that often goes unnoticed.
This event is for women only.
📍 **Plan**
We’ll meet at **Hermanos Colombian Coffee (Blackhorse Road area)** at **12:00pm**, settle in briefly, and then head towards **Walthamstow Wetlands (Forest Road entrance).**
Walthamstow Wetlands is Europe’s largest urban wetland nature reserve and home to herons, cormorants, great crested grebes, and if we’re lucky… maybe even a kingfisher sighting. No promises, but eyes up 😉
The afternoon will be mostly walk-focused, with a gentle stroll through nature and a short reflective pause along the way - nothing intense, just a small intentional moment to mark the occasion. Depending on the weather and group energy, we may stop at the café inside the Wetlands for a short break. On our way back towards **Walthamstow Central**, we’ll make a light bakery stop before wrapping up around **3:00pm**.
⛅️ If London weather decides to be London weather, we’ll adapt the route and spend more time indoors while keeping the spirit of the gathering intact.

Spring Season One Begins - One Million Daffodils
I honestly can't think of a nicer way to begin the season than this. Daffodils are one of my favourite flowers - a sign that spring has finally arrived.
And if all this constant rain has done one good thing, it’s helped them bloom early… which means we’ll be greeted by one million daffodils planted throughout St James’s Park.
Let’s meet outside St James’s Park tube (Broadway exit) at 10:30am and take it from there. We’ll take an easy stroll around the lake, with those iconic views across to Buckingham Palace on one side and Horse Guards Parade on the other. We can then stop for a coffee if you’d like.
It’s actually been a long time since I’ve properly paused and taken in these landmarks myself, and it feels like quite an apt place to begin this group — central, iconic, and full of fresh energy.
No fixed route. No rushing. Just a relaxed Sunday morning, good conversation, and that lovely feeling of London waking up again after winter.
It’s all flat and paved, so very manageable — this is about chatting and soaking up the atmosphere, not marching anywhere.
I’ll be there come rain or shine.

WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.

In this month’s Confidence Lab, we’ll gather at **Petals That Inspire: The Flourish Studio** for an evening exploring the connection between creativity and confidence. How making with our hands, engaging our senses, and allowing space for expression can shift how we see ourselves and what we believe is possible.
Our featured speaker, **Amanda Lorenzetti**, owner of Petals That Inspire, will share how creativity has shaped her own confidence journey and why creative environments play such a powerful role in well-being, resilience, and personal growth. Drawing from her work leading an experience-driven floral studio and a community-centered workforce development program, Amanda will reflect on creativity as both a personal and collective catalyst.
Amanda will also guide us through a **hands-on floral design experience**, creating a fresh arrangement in a wide mouth mason jar. No prior floral experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to engage the process.
