Simmons Holborn is a powerhouse of a cocktail bar. Situated slap bang in the Centre of London, it brushes shoulders with Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden, and Oxford Street. With two floors of utter delinquency to explore and a gigantic DJ booth housed inside an 8-foot disco ball - it's kind of a big deal.
The largest of the group's bars, the basement level takes inspiration from all the fun of the fair - sporting big-top style paintwork and walls lacquered with novelty circus posters. The upstairs is more typical of Simmons. Stacks of odds and sods line the venue like a shrine to the good old days. Drink cocktails out of Nanna's crockery and dance to live DJs spinning everything from 00s bops to R&B to soul,

Cocktails & Unplugged Concert at The RSA, Strand, feat. Si Connelly & more
Hi All
A classy night indeed.
I know a good few have fallen in love with The RSA and their gorgeous lounge and cocktail bar, MUSE, and our last two have been at the even more historic space, the Tavern Room. Let's just tell you how magical this place is. .. Dickens used to write his novels IN THIS ROOM. Benjamin Franklin was a fellow of the RSA AT THE TIME OF THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR. Past and present Fellows include Judi Dench, Herbie Hancock and Steven Hawking ... shall I go on? It's one of the most beautiful Georgian Houses in London, just off Strand, pretty much the original 18th centrut Coffee House / debating society. Now you know why I get excited inviting you here!
Our first Unplugged Concert. at Muse at RSA for the New Year feaures world class, emotive and brilliant **Si Connelly**, soulful and contemporary Swiss singer-songwriter **Emilia Anastazja** and the gorgeous folky pop British/Spanish singer songwriter **Chloe Leigh**!!
* *6pm onwards - We meet from 6pm for cocktails and chats in the lovely Muse Bar, before settling in at The Tavern Room for the salon style concert.*
* *7pm approx - The unplugged concert starts with intervals inbetween each artist*
* *9.45pm onwards - cocktail bar open until 11 for after drinks!*
**ABOUT THE LINEUP ...**
Emotive and raw live and a hugely prolific songwriter (3 albums in 2023 and more due for release) UK touring artist **SI CONNELLY** bowls his audience over at every live show. He's been namechecked as world class more times than anyone can remember, and is truly special indeed.
. "Ive worked with the best. The best singers I have worked with? Mick Jagger, Amy Winehouse and Si Connelly. You wont have heard of him …. yet.” - Dom Morley, Grammy award-winning producer.
**[Watch Si Connelly Here](https://youtu.be/sDH1o6sw_L0?si=QLC_BB_1sZ0-J-K3)**
Known for her rich, emotive voice and genre-blending sound—fusing soul, R&B, pop, and jazz, **EMILIA ANASTAZJA** creates music that feels timeless and real, drawing inspiration from Sade, Joni Mitchell, Cleo Sol, Erykah Badu and more. Her newest EP Everything I Want was praised by Earmilk and named Jazz FM’s Song of the Week. Emilia is currently working on Purple To Blue, a project co-written and co-produced with Femi Temowo (Amy Winehouse).
**[Watch Emilia Anastazja Here](https://youtu.be/VDGC1eAhNX0?si=OZoWGTZGpmJYuwdM)**
Inspired by wordsmiths such as Leonard Cohen and Laura Marling, **CHLOE LEIGH** explores tales of love and loss, longing and laughter. Her signature blend of folk and flamenco styles has taken Chloe to many places, from Glastonbury, to Nashville, to the dark jazz bars in Berlin. Chloe has recently been working on a new collection of songs for debut album, influenced by her southern Spanish roots, that represents her unique international sound.

Fun dance class to Latin and R&B music and cheap drinks
Friday night Brazilian zouk dance class followed by socialising, drinks and practice dance.
A fun dance class 7.30-9 pm where you'll meet lots of first-time dancers and get to know everyone before dancing the night away and socialising. There is a discount for the beginner's class! No experience is required, and you don't need to bring a partner, as partners change regularly to enable everyone to get to know each other. Most people come by themselves and make new friends!
After the class, the club night goes on till midnight with DJs and a bar. The venue is hired out exclusively for the people who come for dance classes and practice. The cost is usually £15 but if you're on the guestlist for meetup it's only £10 for the whole evening. Make sure your name is on the guest list!

Simmons Shoreditch is a quirky cocktail bar bringing an off-
kilter addition to the streets of the East. Just off Shoreditch High Street, this gem is notorious for a late-night party or 5. Its eclectic playlist and beautifully bonkers interiors set it apart from its peers.
Famed for its rogue aesthetic, it really has it all. We're not joking. Bringing a new meaning to 'Everything but the kitchen sink,' this bar even has that. Its DJ plays from a built-in Kitchen Disco. Spinning disks that span decades with a playlist that's sure to keep you on the dancefloor until the early hours. Blaring neons, skull disco balls and
waltzer-style booths all add to the charm!

Please book your own tickets through roller nation and let me know If you’re going to attend.
Skate hire is available so you don’t have to have your own skates.
When: Every Saturday
Time: 7pm – 1am. last admission 11.30pm
Price: £18.50
Saturdays are always the BIG ONE! Expect fancy dress, big groups and small groups celebrating special occasions, hen and stag do’s and more fun than anyone should expect from a Saturday night out in London. With Classic tunes from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s decades and beyond providing the perfect soundtrack for the early evening whilst later on the tempo picks up with vocal house and commercial RnB seeing us through until the early am. A real mixture of people who are just out to have fun night out in North London.
All customers using their own skates must have either stoppers or jam plugs fitted at all times.
Please note: this is an over 18 event and a “challenge 25 policy’ is in place so physical ID may be requested.
💿 Love Dance Music?😃 Euphoric Rave @ Iconic KOKO Club🎧🎼
**Love dancing to hedonistic, high‑energy dance tunes?** Then come kick off 2026 in euphoric, high‑octane style as one of Japan’s finest **dance‑music DJs** drops phenomenal uplifting, spiritual, full‑power tunes for us to lose ourselves in one of the most iconic venues in London’s clubland — **KOKO** \- in Camden\, the home of music\.
Expect a proper club‑night experience with inspiring immersive lightshows / lasers for our bodies to sync in harmony to as with gyrate to the **rhythms** of the night. Obviously there will be no mainstream pop or uncool "touristy" stuff! Instead think - ecstasy inducing tunes you'd hear at other music clubs like Lightbox, Egg, Bagleys, Ministry, Moondance, Fabric, Paradise etc.
We'll join up to 1,500 other fellow cool young trendy music lovers for a night of blissful musical tranquility, Average age range will be 18 to 35ish but heavily skewed toward 20s men.
**Free Tickets limited.** Sorry but if you don't love both uplifting dance (rave) music and dancing to it - please don't rsvp and deprive someone who genuinely loves dance music an extremely rare free place! And honestly, if you're only gonna stay for less than a couple of hours there's probably no point in coming. As per most proper clubs - the real revellers don't usually arrive untill 2ish and the main DJ / music sets don't even kick off till 12 so it's would be waste of a free ticket that you'd normally pay up to £70 quid for! Oh & please don't ask me about 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine - I'm not a biochemist - try your local Boots!
**=== Time To Make The Floor Burn But Early ===**
The only downside is we have to get in there before 10.30pm else regular door charge tickets will be about £45-70 quid, maybe cheaper with student ID. If you wanna pay for full price on door/ pre-buy and meet us in there later that's cool too as 10.30pm is understandably way too early to go a club (hence the free tickets) - we can sort out the details later. DM me for the free ticket link.
We'll meet beforehand somewhere quieter for pre-drinks, intros, banter and obviously music chats about our previous rave escapades, our fav tunes, and non-music related banter. As Koko gets packed by 2am (1500 standing dancing cap) and we have restricted free tickets - to avoid losing people - a small group size will be optimal for dancing together so limiting RSVPs. Obviously you can dance with the other ravellers once they arrive. Will update with super cheap pre-drinks Camden venue in the location.

Gypsy Jazz Jam acoustic in Leesburg, VA
Let's meet up and have an acoustic gypsy jazz jam! There is a nice quiet studio space on the third floor of Photoworks and the owner of Photoworks (Neil) will let us use the space. He has folding chairs there. There is a a parking garage that is free on weekends almost right next to the store, so parking is way easy. I am hoping that an early evening on a Sunday will work well for a number of folks. I am open to doing a Wednesday evening or other times that might work well for folks in upcoming events. We can also explore other venues and locations. A local bar also said I could use their restaurant on a Sunday afternoon or evening or a mid week evening for a possible future jam session. Step one is meeting up and getting to talk and play some music and then we can discuss what works for folks best etc after we see each other. Hope lots of y'all can make it. My personal email address is Taraworlds@gmail.com. I am not awesome at using the meetup platform for communicating quite yet. If you want my cell phone number and plan to come and want it in case of questions email me ahead of time and I can give it to you. I will not be checking emails that day. Looking forward to lots of friend making and music making. :)
