https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KKltxVko4w
This is a core strength workout. We do boot camp style exercises, so think pushups, situps, planks, squats, burpees, etc. There's a lot of smiles and laughing involved, too... (and the high fives will come back as we leave the COVID era behind!)
Not sure how to do burpees? Pike jumps? Dragon Pushups? That's fine! We'll teach you. This is an awesome way to rock your body and get fit fast.
We welcome all fitness levels! Even if you have not worked out in years we want you to join us. Working out with fun, encouraging people in a group setting is better than trying to do this all on your own. EVERYBODY IS WELCOME!

🛡️ Member Vetting Now Required – Here’s Why
🛡️ All Club Members Are Now Vetted Before Participation
🗓️ — No RSVP required 📍 This is not a live event — it’s an announcement drop for all members. 📌 This is a private coordination anchor — not a public RSVP event. RSVPs are ignored — \*\*We don’t use RSVPs. All coordination runs through our Universal Request Form.\*\*🔗 **🎶 Music Club – Universal Request Form** 👉 [Music Club Request Form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd0WFcvZr4Dp2g31Rpx9ppN2aBozgwMDvimZtOIEejQQLU3XQ/viewform?usp=header)
**We shape events around the members who show up and been identified and verified 🛡️— not a fixed calendar or RSVP's.**
**🛡️ From the Frontlines to the Studio: Why Vetting Matters**
This isn’t just a music club.
It’s a **clean, private space** **for all creators** including those who’ve been through the fire — and are building back with care.
We now **verify and vet** all members before participation.
That includes private sessions, showcases, co-creates, carpooling, lodging, studio invites etc., or Zoom events.
✅ Every member completes two steps:
1. **ID & Safety Form**
2. **Member Intake + Quiet Zoom Check-In**
You’re not expected to be perfect.
You’re expected to be **honest** — and open to a space without games, grooming, or ghosting.
🧾 Already Verified?
You’ll see a badge by your name (example: Lorie 🛡️ Joseph 🛡️).
Not sure? Just ask.
🎶 Built for healing.
🛡️ Built for integrity.
📍 **Vetting protects the music — and the people making it.**
We build clean, kind spaces by verifying , vetting and checking who’s in it first.
That’s how safety and trust are built.
🎖️ **Led by a military-trained organizer** committed to serve, protect, and guide — the rest trained by the best.
🔒🛡️ Badge confirms we’ve got basic safety info and alignment in place. (Members that been verified will be noted in discussion's and when they are mentioned a verified badge will occur.) For example, Mary 🛡️ Will 🛡️Jim 🛡️Joseph
( Note: These are just example's)

Lake Placid Ski Weekend
Hi Hikers,
I'm heading to Lake Placid for a weekend of winter fun. Depending on conditions, any combination of backcountry cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, resort cross-country, or even snowshoeing is possible, but I'm aiming for:
* Downhill skiing at Whiteface on Saturday
* Backcountry XC skiing (with the Appalachian Mountain Club) on Sunday
**Two important notes:**
1. Winter trips are always difficult to plan due to varied conditions and plans might change at the least minute. Just bear that in mind. However, as of Feb 9th, conditions are the best they've been in years! ([See bark eater ski conditions for updates](https://www.betatrails.org/conditions).)
2. I screen all participants for weekend trips. If you are interested, RSVP and shoot me (Andre) a message. As with all of Hiking & Nature's trips, this is not a guided or paid trip. It is a social trip for outdoor enthusiasts, and I want to check that everyone has accurate expectations.
**Trip Details:**
* **Schedule:** Plan to arrive Friday night for a full day of activities Saturday and a half day Sunday before driving back.
* **Cost:** Attendees are responsible for their own lodging, food, transport, and other costs.
* **Lodging:** TBD. Tmax Hostel by default ($32/night for bunk rooms). There is potential to book a house or condo if a good deal on a refundable option becomes available.
**Required Gear & Skills for BC XC:**
* **Solid expert resort XC skills:** Backcountry trails can be much steeper and narrower than resort blacks. They are ungroomed (or even unbroken) and may contain unbridged stream crossings, blowdowns, and other backcountry hazards.
* **Backcountry cross-country gear:** BC XC skis with metal edges are required, with a backcountry boot and backcountry binding (for example: Fischer Traverse 78 Crown). Skins are highly recommended.
* **Layered winter clothing suitable for temps in the single digits:** Wicking base-layer top and bottom; insulating top layer (usually fleece); windbreaker/softshell jacket; insulated water-resistant pants; waterproof shell pants and jacket; big puffy jacket; warm and water-resistant gloves and mittens (two pair); face protection; winter hat; headlamp; gaiters; chemical hand and foot warmers.
President's Race @ Hunter, NY
It's the annual race at Hunter Mountain with the NJ Ski Council. RSVP for more details or to carpool. RSVP closes the day prior at 4pm.
