Identity & Consciousness - Open Space for Spiritual Discussions
Hi. I would like to set up the first event. This is a space and opportunity to discuss all the things spiritual in a relaxed manner.
It is a space where our discussions should bring you joy without any sense of obligation to participate if you don't feel like it. After all bringing just your presence is no small task :)
And it's one of the most important things in raising your state of consciousness :)
As this is the first meeting it could just be a lightweight conversation or if you feel like we can dive in into more serious fundamental topics. It depends on what are you interested in. It could be:
* where are we on the Map of Consciousness (different paradigms)
* the nature of our 3D physical reality
* nervous system regulation
* Biocentrism
etc. There's a lot we can talk about and everyone of us has a different level of knowledge and is at a different stage of awareness.
Feel free to join and see you there,
Daniel
Dialogues #37 - Topic: How We Die
In a world full of opinions, noise, and quick reactions, we often miss spaces for real dialogue ā for slowing down, listening, and connecting with one another. This evening is an invitation to do exactly that.
Join us for an open and friendly evening (in English & free of charge) dedicated to How We Die.
We will brainstorm together in an Open Spaceāstyle format, where participants choose topics themselves about what we want to discuss from this broad topic - questions to help you get inspired:
What does it mean to die?
Do we have a right to die? Can we lose it?
Can we be forced to stay alive?
Afterwards, participants will form small groups to explore the questions and insights around the topics
18:00 ā Doors open
18:15 ā Introduction & topic selection
18:40 - We start discussions
19:40 - Closing session (sharing activities)
20:00 - Networking & Connect
What to expect:
A welcoming space for newcomers and regulars alike
Be slightly pushed to socialize
Open, participant-led small-group discussions on diverse perspectives
No expertise required ā everyoneās opinion matters!
Safe, respectful, and judgment-free conversations
More about sharing and reflecting than debating or convincing
No pressure to speak ā listening is just as valuable
Not a lecture, not a debate club, and definitely not intimidating!
Feel free to bring some snacks to share!
Friendly dogs are welcome!
If you are a regular that appreciate us and can help, or a newcomer who enjoyed the evening, and wants to help, we have recently set a Patreon page where you can support us!

Conspiracy theoriesā talk
Join our discussion about prominent conspiracy theories. Either youād like to debunk them or provide reasons for agreeing with them, weād like to hear you! Iāve been arguing with my colleague Giuseppe at the office for three years now trying to prove him that the Moon landing did happen. After three years and his constant speculations, I hardly believe in it anymore. Still, I am pro science and he questions it, so I decided to bring us two and invite more curious people in to discuss pros and cons of the legitimacy of those theories.
At our second seating, we will talk respectfully about:
* Dinosaursā existence;
* The conspiracy behind breakfast being the most important meal of the day;
* 9/11 āInside Jobā.
For each of the topic, please bring your opinion backed by facts that you would like to present to the group. Also, please be respectful of the people who think differently from you.

Meditation Events This Week

SRF group: First meeting
This will be a simple first meeting for anyone in Prague who feels connected to Paramahansa Yogananda, SRF, Kriya Yoga, meditation, or sincere spiritual practice.
We will meet casually for tea or coffee, introduce ourselves, and talk about what kind of informal circle would be helpful here in Prague. There is no pressure, no formal structure, and no expectation that anyone needs to be advanced or experienced.
I am a relatively new SRF student myself, so this is not a teaching group. It is simply an attempt to create a friendly space for spiritual community.
Everyone is welcome: SRF students, readers of Yogananda, meditators, curious beginners, international residents, Czech locals, and sincere seekers from any background.
The goal is simply to meet peacefully and see whether there is interest in continuing.
Event will be held in English.
Location is to be decided upon depending on the amount of people who will show interest.
**Please note:** To respect SRF guidelines, we will not share or discuss private SRF Lessons material, and we will not teach SRF meditation techniques. Anyone curious about SRF practice will be warmly directed to the official SRF Lessons and resources.
Does self-improvement have an end or it is a never-ending process?
At the group's first meetup, we will informally discuss whether self-improvement has an end or is a never-ending process.
To inspire the discussion, I selected two short blog posts with opposing perspectives.
The [first post](https://markmanson.net/self-improvement#:~:text=There%27s%20a%20paradox%20with,the%20need%20to%20improve%20yourself.) is by Mark Manson, the author of *The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F#ck*. He argues that:
ā*Thereās a paradox with self-improvement (...): the ultimate goal of all self-improvement is to reach the point where you no longer feel the need to improve yourself (ā¦). The whole goal of improving your productivity is to reach the point where you never have to think about how to be more productive. The whole point of pursuing happiness is to reach the point where one no longer has to think about being happy. (ā¦)*
*The only way to truly achieve oneās potential, to become fully fulfilled, or to become āself-actualizedā (ā¦), is to, at some point, stop trying to be all of those things.ā*
The [second post](https://maartenvandoorn.medium.com/self-improvement-doesnt-have-an-end-it-is-the-end-6bbb3247ff6f) is by Maarten van Doorn, who wrote it as a reply to Mark Mansonās post. Van Doorn argues that self-improvement doesnāt have an end because it is an end in itself:
*āāThe paradox of self-improvementā, as Mark calls it, is not that self-improvement, despite appearances, has as its ultimate goal something thatās āin your headā. No, the true paradox of self-improvement is that itās perhaps the only kind of improvement that is not done for the sake of whatever it is being improved, but for its own sake.*
*Self-improvement has intrinsic value and, in contrast to productivity, becoming better and exercising skills are essential components of what makes life worth living (ā¦)*
*Personal growth shouldnāt be thought of as a band-aid to fix something. Thatās not what itās for. What itās for, is to prevent you from settling for eternal boredom ā and your life from going by unnoticed*.ā
What do you think?
**Reading the posts beforehand is optional** ā Just in case you want to read them, here are the links:
* ā[What is self-improvementā by Mark Manson](https://markmanson.net/self-improvement#:~:text=There%27s%20a%20paradox%20with,the%20need%20to%20improve%20yourself.).
* ā[Self-improvement doesnāt have an end, it is the endā by Maarten van Doorn](https://maartenvandoorn.medium.com/self-improvement-doesnt-have-an-end-it-is-the-end-6bbb3247ff6f)
We will also have time to talk about ourselves and brainstorm ideas for next meetups.
See you soon.

Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few.
How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again.
So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that.
Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology life improvement center.
