Casual meetup for the cannabis lovers
This is the very first event of the group and I’d like to keep it simple to test the waters.
If there are going to be a high number of join(t)ers; then I shall create a more structured event.
For now: We meet, light-up together, share some interesting stories or experiences and feel the vibes.
We then probably go to Eaton center food court and binge on some good food of our preferences.
Feel free to come and leave anytime you want! There are no restrictions apart from the age limit and of course - be kind and have a good time! That’s where I bet the THC helps 😋 Om Namah Shivaya! (Just for kicks, religion no bar!)
Thanks for reading! Have a great one!

Bruce's Public Speaking Breakthrough Weekend
**Is public speaking fear or anxiety holding you back or limiting your potential in your life or career?**
If so this immersive weekend (retreat like) experience could be for you.
The format for the weekend is an evolution of my mission to help people **transmute subconscious fears** and blocks and self-limiting beliefs into public speaking passion, authenticity, and confidence. I've honestly never felt more certain that I’ve found the secret to **unlocking speaking power in a way that actually lasts.**
I designed this weekend to be an inspiring climb up **The Public Speaking Breakthrough Ladder.** I've designed each rung to unlock a new, empowering state of being in your public speaking and then **lock that feeling into your nervous system.** Through curated quotes, deep questions, story and message prompts and a few other secret ingredients we will progress though the following 3 phases.
Before I describe the format I want to acknowledge that just the thought of public speaking can feel overwhelming, but this is a **safe**, **judgment-free zone.** You will be speaking in this weekend retreat but this weekend isn't about having to perform or being put on the spot; it's about recalibrating your system so you can feel **safe and calm** as you speak.
* **Phase 1: Breakthroughs 1 to 3.**
* **Awareness:** What we witness, we can influence. We bring the blocks out of the shadows and share them to release their grip.
* **Courage:** We'll explore courage's earliest meaning - "to speak one's mind by telling all one's heart." - as a **powerful transmuting tool.**
* **Acceptance:** This isn't about passivity; it’s about actively allowing the resistance to come and out so we reclaim our power.
*
* **Phase 2: Breakthroughs 4 to 6.**
* **Connection**: Once we connect with ourselves we learn to connect with others and lock that safety it into your subconscious.
* **Confidence:** The shift from **"seeking approval" to "granting permission."** You'll learn to trust in your nervous system to stay present.
* **Intention:** Breaking the habit of "playing small" and moving from how am I doing to **what is my message and how is it impacting?**
*
* **Phase 3: Breakthroughs 7 to 9**
* **Authenticity:** Stripping away what you think you should be as a speaker to discover and **embrace who you actually are.**
* **Authority:** For this weekend authority is a magnetic command that comes from knowing why you and your message matter.
* **Bliss:** The final rung. The "flow state" where the fear is gone and speaking becomes something you enjoy. Imagine it yours to keep!
## **The Details**
* **When:** Saturday May 2nd and Sunday May 3rd (10am to 4pm)
* **Where:** 10 Lower Jarvis Street (Loblaws Community Room 2nd Floor)
* **$595** ( $495 if you register before April 14 )
* Limited to 12 participants to ensure we can do the deep work required for these breakthroughs.
* **Preparation:** No need to prepare anything in advance.
* **Lunch:** We'll take a break for lunch; lots of options available.

Saturday Writing Meetup – near Bloor-Yonge
\*\*NOTE: This meetup currently lacks a regular host. (The current hosts are volunteers for online organizational purposes; they show up in person occasionally.) If you arrive and there is no host, don’t worry. Whoever is the longest-running member (or whoever wants to) can set the timer for the writing session. In this way, the meetup is self-sustaining, and not dependent on any one person. Thanks for your understanding.\*\*
Join us for an hour of quiet writing, followed by an hour of (optional) socializing.
\*\*SILENT WRITING BEGINS AT 1:15 PM. IF YOU'RE LATE, WELCOME! WE WILL IGNORE YOU (BECAUSE WE'RE BUSY WRITING) UNTIL 2:15 PM.\*\*
This meetup is open to everyone, whether you’re writing a novel, blog, class paper, or journal entry—or something completely different. Anyone interested is welcome to attend :)
LOCATION:
5 Elements Cafe, basement level
RSVP:
Please be advised that seating is first-come, first-served, even if you have RSVP'd. Seats are not reserved and we can't control how many other people are in the cafe.
We recommend coming down to the basement to grab a spot before you buy anything, just in case.
SCHEDULE:
1:00 to 1:15 PM: Arrive and get settled in.
1:15 to 2:15 PM: Write in silence for an hour.
\*\*If you arrive after 1:15, please silently find your own place to sit. We'll welcome you to join the group at 2:15.\*\*
2:15 PM: Introduce yourself.
We'll go in a circle; just say your name and 1–2 sentences about what you're writing.
(E.g., "I'm Rudolph and I'm writing a non-fiction book about reindeer.")

Chat, hang out, keep writing if you want, leave whenever.

Shut Up & Write!™ Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator.
Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking!
• What we'll do
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros.
10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you!
• What to bring
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible.
See you at The Café on Saturday!
