In the second thread, letters penned by a budding science-fiction writer, Phyllis, to her beloved, Rosa, expose the raw ache of queer yearning, loneliness, and alienation in the repressive 1960s-as well as the joy of finding community. In the present day, a reclusive and chronically ill Archivist attempts to understand a strange forgotten childhood encounter while descending into obsession over both Phyllis's letters and the testimony of the first alien abductees. Over the course of a decade, Phyllis wrestles with her desires and ambitions as a lesbian writer, while the abducted couple grapple with how to maintain control of their narrative. All the while, the archive shatters and reforms, redefining fact and fiction via the stories left behind by the abductees, Phyllis, and the Archivist themself. Masad makes human what is alien and makes tangible what is hidden – sometimes by chance and sometimes intentionally – in the archive.

The title of this movie is the name of a fictional phone app designed to help blind people. Like the real app on which it’s modeled ([Be My Eyes](https://www.bemyeyes.com/)), the software allows a blind person to contact a sighted volunteer, point the phone at something, and hear a description of what’s on the screen. It’s useful for grocery shopping, walking through unfamiliar territory, reading menus, and hundreds of other daily activities. In this story, the protagonist is a blind teenager who’s fiercely independent. She gets a cat-sitting gig at an isolated mansion, and she uses the app to familiarize herself with the layout and posh amenities. If you are fascinated by these hunters of the night, you’ll love spending an evening with Steve Sheffield, a biologist who extensively studies owls and works to conserve them. He’ll start by covering the different types of owls in our region and elsewhere, and the ways in which their bodies and their sizes represent physical adaptations to their environment. He’ll especially focus on the owl species of the United States and Canada, describing their biology, ranges, preferred habitat and prey, behavior, and vocalizations. You’ll learn how and why field biologists study owls and how owl researchers from around the world assemble periodically to discuss their work. We’ll consider owls' value to ecosystems and, especially, humans and human-dominated landscapes where they serve as especially efficient killers of rodents and other crop-harming pests. Being top predators, owls serve as sensitive bioindicators of contamination throughout the food chain. Every Friday night at 7:30pm you are welcome to attend the Covenant Life Church School of Holy Spirit. Whether you are just beginning in the prophetic or a seasoned saint, the Friday night School of the Holy Spirit provides the opportunity to be trained and exercised in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. This class is open to anyone interested in starting to communicate with spirits or wanting to refresh some basics. The class will be broken up into three parts and are led by Echo, a medium, intuitive tarot reader, and practicing witch who also co-leads our Mediumship workshops. Part 1- At this stage we will discuss and practice basic meditation skills and visualization methods that are meant to help ground you before, during, and after any spirit work. This class will focus on protection, shielding, warding (both personal and home), and cleansing spaces either in preparation for spirit work or afterwards. Part 2- Next we will dig into different types of spirits you may encounter, what it might feel like, and what communication is like in the real world. We will also go over graveyard etiquette-both literal and metaphorical. Part 3- Let’s dig in! In Part 3 we will talk about how to deal with negative or malicious spirits along with what signs of a spiritual attack might look like. At this stage we will also go over spirit contracts, a good way to make spiritual bonds and friends that help protect you, and have time to discuss experiences and to practice. Echo grew up in a haunted house and learned how to use their gifts as a medium and witch to communicate with spirits, protect themselves, and clear negative spirits out of spaces when necessary. Echo graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in wildlife, and started attending Sticks and Stones’ Mediumship workshop after moving to the area in 2022. They specialize in energy work and cleansing, intuitive tarot, dreamwork, animal communication, outdoor meditation, charms, ancestor work, and spirit communication. Every Sunday afternoon before church, one of the Covenant Life Church prophetess' hosts a prophetic training class that activates participants in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. During this class, participants will be provided opportunity to be taught how to use the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and will have opportunity to ask questions and talk with someone who has been used in the Gifts during ministry. Teaching is provided on the gifts with emphasis on the Gift of the Prophecy. A combination of lecture and experiential learning is employed to teach, guide and instruct the participants. As the Pathfinders slowly regain their footing within the elven nation of Kyonin, Venture-Captain Viore Ciobanu has set his sights on cleaning up what remains of Talhindir Lodge. The emotional pain from past bad experiences easily lingers in the present, making it hard to enjoy life and create your future.
