**In a time of division and isolation, come be part of the community that's rebuilding the town square, one table at a time.** In BreadBreakers, we use the common space of the dining table to have conversations where neighbors can **hear, be heard, and know one another.** If you're hungry for good conversation and deeper community, join us for a Community Dinner in Reston and help blaze the trail to a healthier, more connected society and democracy. Here’s how it works: For just two hours, multiple tables of people set aside the need to "win" and instead focus on sharing, listening, and connecting. Guided by experienced table hosts, we'll tell our stories, try to understand each other, and practice being in community with those with different views or backgrounds. **At this dinner, participants will get to choose between three different topics, including some current events.** Topics range from the political, to the "slice of life", to the spiritual, to the philosophical, to the off-the-wall - but no matter which table you choose to sit at, you can be sure it'll be like no dinner conversation you've had before! **A Divine Connection to Nature (Free Event)** **Who is responsible for taking care of the earth?** **We talk about the environment in many contexts – politically, economically, socially and morally – but do we also have a spiritual responsibility to the world around us?** **Concern over the changing climate continues, with more and more questions about what it means for our future. And there doesn’t seem to be a consensus on what to do about it, leaving us overwhelmed and confused. But what if the way we’re treating the planet is really a symptom of something else? Is it actually an indication of how we’re treating ourselves and each other? How might our actions change if we wanted the best for others just as much as we do for ourselves? Can a spiritual lens help us see the way forward to having healthy and growing societies and also a healthy environment?** **Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspectives offered by the Bahá’í Teachings on the earth and its natural environment. **What Does Peace Look Like? (Free Event)** **“Peace” often implies “lack of conflict”. But is that too narrow a definition? Is a peaceful world just one without war – or is it also one that supports our highest material & spiritual well-being? What role does spirituality play in fostering this higher vision of peace?** **In a world too often defined by conflict and division, there is a growing recognition that peace encompasses more than just the absence of war. It implies the equitable distribution of resources, rights, and opportunities for all members of society. And looking around us, we can find efforts in place towards this end. But we could also probably say that we still have a long way to go to achieving this. So what’s missing? Does a more just and lasting definition of peace necessitate not only the practical material means to achieve it but also a firm understanding of our spiritual nature and that we are all members of one human family? How could we aim to achieve true peace without both? **Black Hill Regional Park → Paris Baguette (Germantown)** **Sunday \| March 22\, 2026 \| 10:00 AM** **Join us for a Sunday morning in nature, centered on meaningful conversation along the trail.** **We’ll meet at the Black Hill Regional Park Visitor Center parking lot around 10:00 AM and spend about 60–90 minutes on the scenic lake trails, surrounded by water, trees, and open sky. The morning setting offers space to be present, notice the landscape, and let conversation unfold naturally as we walk.** **After our time on the trails, we’ll continue on to Paris Baguette in Germantown Town Center for coffee or a pastry and keep the conversation going.** **This group is for gay men who enjoy being outdoors, care about how food is grown and gathered, appreciate thoughtful conversation, and value authentic friendships built at a natural pace. This is not a hookup space, a dating pool, a nightlife extension, or a professional networking circle.
