The Quiet-ish ADHD Social | Small Group | Low Battery Laughs & Chat
**Hello all, come upstairs, turn left**
**into the cafe. I am sat at the**
**back, on a sofa next to the bar. I am wearing a white top. looking like a polar bear.**
This is a smallish-group, quiet-ish meetup for ADHD brains who want to connect with their tribe without their nervous system going, 'Aiiight, I'm outta here!'
Everyone welcome. You don't need a diagnosis, you don't even need ADHD.
Weâre meeting at **Picturehouse Central - upstairs cafe** (Piccadilly) because itâs one of those places where you can actually hear yourself think. Mostly. This is more of a tea/coffee and cake kinda venue. Sorry, booze hounds!
**The environment is**: relaxed, validating, welcoming
It won't be like whispering to each other at the back of the class, more less sensory Armageddon.
**What to expect**
A small group (human-scale, not âwho are all these peopleâ scale).
A quiet-ish venue where you donât have to shout your personality into existence.
Conversation that can be normal (well, probably far from normal đ
. There is no need to worry about trying to fit in, no need to mask.
A soft landing. Come late, ease in, do a gentle hello, no oneâs timing you.
Low-pressure hanging out. If you want to chat, great. If you want to sit and decompress near other people, also great.
**The unofficial theme**
How to be social without being assaulted by:
fluorescent lighting
overlapping conversations
surprise music
that one table doing a full volume podcast recording next to you.
**Important Note:**
If you cannot make it, please put 'Can't go'. This ensures there's space for others who want to attend đ
â------------------------------------------------------
Boundaries (quick, clear, important)
Yay!-DHD is a consent-led space. Some people are chatty, some are quiet, some are pacing themselves. Please donât push for personal details, contact info, or continued connection if someone isnât offering it. This isnât a dating event.

Circling drop in evening
**Sorry due to double booking venue has changed to Elephant and Castle. Details on eventbrite page.**
**[https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/robyn-wilford-29457876735](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/robyn-wilford-29457876735)**
Circling is a present-moment relational awareness practice. Weâre bringing our attention to whatâs unfolding in real time, repeatedly returning to whatâs happening within ourselves, between us and in the shared space of the group.
We practice approaching our own experience and the experience of others with curiosity, becoming more aware of the subtleties of what is present. The emphasis is on staying in contact with your experience as it unfolds. The unfolding may be quiet and internal or it may lead to words â naming sensations, thoughts, emotions, impulses or perceptions. It might also include movement or other non-verbal expression. The idea is not to try to change whatâs there, but to become more aware of what it is and how we are meeting it and relating to it in the moment.
Often awareness follows expression and this is okay too. We are all swimming in the ocean of the unknown. Occasionally the whale lifts its head above the surface and we catch a glimpse â a moment of seeing something about ourselves that we hadnât noticed before.
Over time, many people find that this kind of awareness practice deepens their sense of aliveness and helps them notice patterns in how they relate to themselves and others. With ongoing practice, some people discover an increased capacity to be with themselves and others in a more conscious, grounded, flexible and responsive way â where we can experience ourselves as active participants in our lives rather than passive reactors to what is happening internally or around us.
Both those new to Circling and those with more experience are very welcome.
**To reserve your place, transfer ÂŁ18 via my eventbrite page:**
**[https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/robyn-wilford-29457876735](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/robyn-wilford-29457876735)**
Any questions, please direct message me here or email:
[robyncontact365@gmail.com](http://robyncontact365@gmail.com)
**Facilitation and Terms of Service**
This is a facilitated group practice but not group therapy and not psychotherapy. Because of my NARM background and own personal journey, I value personal choice, agency and emergent self-awareness. Participants are encouraged to stay connected to their own pace and to keep checking in with themselves throughout the practice â noticing what feels supportive, what feels like too much, and what they may need in any moment.
Thereâs no expectation to be vulnerable or to share anything that feels too personal or emotional and you are always welcome to speak, remain silent, pause, step back and take a break, leave or ask for what you want, including asking for support. Participants are also invited to respect one anotherâs pace and boundaries.
The intention of my Circling leadership is to support myself and people in staying present with their experience while in relationship with others, and to develop greater awareness of how they are meeting that experience. Having said that, like solo meditation, itâs normal that we will all repeatedly lose presence and Circling can sometimes evoke strong emotions or reactions in people which can be difficult for them and challenging for others in the space to navigate. If you find the prospect of this potentially destabilising or overwhelming, or if you are currently experiencing significant emotional distress or instability in your life that might be exacerbated by this type of group environment, or if you are unsure youâll be able to take care of yourself and ensure the practice works for you, then please contact me before registering so we can discuss further.
By registering you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the above.

April in-person read: 'The Journalist and the Murderer' by Janet Malcolm
Dive into a meaningful **in-person discussion** at the Literature & Theology Reading Group's next meetup as we explore 'The Journalist and the Murderer' by Janet Malcolm.

Check in for Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse - Online
A calm, low-key space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself alongside others who understand.
The **Queenâs Rise Circle Survivor Check-In** is a gentle, bi-weekly gathering created for women healing from narcissistic, emotionally harmful, or difficult relationships.
This is not therapy or a formal workshop. It is a supportive community space where survivors can come exactly as they are. Some weeks you may want to share. Other weeks you may simply listen. Both are welcome here.
Together, we focus on small steps forward, emotional grounding, and rebuilding confidence in a safe and respectful environment.
This space is survivor-led and trauma-aware, grounded in empathy, respect, and confidentiality.
### Who this is for
This check-in is suitable for anyone who:
⢠Is healing after a narcissistic or toxic relationship
⢠Feels emotionally overwhelmed or isolated
⢠Wants connection without pressure or judgement
⢠Is looking for consistent, gentle support between workshops or coaching
You do **not** need to be at a particular stage of healing to attend.
### What this space is not
⢠Not group therapy or crisis support
⢠Not a place for advice-giving or fixing others
⢠Not a space for confrontation or debate
It is simply a supportive circle for reflection, encouragement, and community.
### What to bring
Just yourself. Tea, notebooks, and comfortable energy encouraged.
There is no requirement to share if you are not ready. You are welcome to listen, reflect, and simply be present. This is not therapy, but a peer-support space rooted in compassion, safety, and respect.
Come as you are. Cameras optional. You are not behind, broken, or failing. You are healing.

### *Grit, Gangs & Gutsy Londoners South of the River*

This is London as youâve never seen it before: gritty, bold, and bursting with the stories of women who broke every rule in the book.

Weâll meet the **lesbian wife of the Archbishop of Canterbury**, and celebrate **Mary Seacole**, the trailblazing Black nurse and businesswoman who healed soldiers and defied prejudice.
Forget polished mansions and polite history â this is **working-class London at its best**, full of fire, resilience, and brilliance.
Weâll stroll along the quieter **South Bank**, with stunning views of the Houses of Parliament (a dream for photographers!), before ending in **Leake Street**, Londonâs vibrant tunnel of ever-changing street art.

Free Meditation & Yoga on Thursdays in Greenwich @ 7.30pm
Hello there! - We'd like to welcome you to Free weekly meetings hosted by Shalini & Manitu which take place at the:
Greenwich West Community & Arts Centre, 141 Greenwich High Rd, SE10 8JA,
on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.00pm
With Sahaja Yoga Meditation we normally sit on chairs to achieve yoga, effortlessly & spontaneously. So there is no need for mats and no special clothing required.
All across the globe, many are seeking new sources of energy. Meanwhile, the most transformative energy of all is hiding in plain sight, within us. It's natural, sustainable, and infinitely renewable.
It's called inner kundalini energy. And everyone already has it â everyone!. It is often likened to an inner feminine or motherly energy
which automatically knows about us and what is needed to help us restore balance and harmony within our subtle being. It works spontaneously, effortlessly, organically and cannot be paid for.
Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a simple time-honoured technique that lets you tap into that energy and harness its power to become better balanced and better connected to yourself â emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually
If you're having trouble juggling the challenges in your life, Sahaja Yoga Meditation might well help you manage stress, master your emotions and find solutions to your problems
. You may enjoy better health, better focus, and a deeper understanding of the universe and your place in it.
Meditation is not just for mystics and monks.
Sahaja Yoga meditation is for everyone. Anyone can do it. It's that easy. But with the Sahaja Yoga experience, you'll quickly realise, it isn't your typical Meditations 'R Us type class. It's much more than just feeling peaceful and relaxed. Sahaja Yoga Meditation has many layers, varied and deep. Explore at your own pace, in your own way. Our volunteer experts are always available to help.
Ready to plug into your inner energy? A Sahaja Yoga Meditation class is a great way to start. A few minutes of your life may be all it takes to connect to your inner energy and light the path to lifelong transformation. Sahaja Yoga is more than a temporary solution or quick relief â it is a journey, rather than a destination. It's all about energy â guaranteed pure and carbon neutral. You can never have too much of it.
The best part? All classes are free. No strings, no catch.
Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend, bring your self â all are welcome.
We have a web site here in London too which you can visit for more info about weekly meetings: www.sahajayogalondon.co.uk (http://www.sahajayogalondon.co.uk/)

Have tried therapy or other modalities but feel they haven't touched the deepest parts of what you need to release

Value intimate, personal, exclusive spaces (max 6 people) over large groups
â
Are ready for deep transformation, not just relaxation

Want tough motherly love from Kali energy that will destroy everything that isn't true for you
**WHY SMALL GROUPS MATTER**
This journey touches the deepest parts of who you are. In our intimate 6-person setting, you can surrender fully to whatever wants to emerge - whether it's tears you've held back for years, anger you've suppressed, or joy you've forgotten how to feel. Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few.
How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again.
So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that.
Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology life improvement center.

They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.

Disc Tues / Choose Your Movie: THE CHRISTOPHERS vs NORMAL at the Gateway!
Join us as we get together for a Discount Tuesday / Choose Your Movie event to see your choice of two great new films! Option 1 (and the one I'll be seeing) is the top-reviewed comedy-drama, THE CHRISTOPHERS! The film is set in the art world and follows the estranged children of a former artist who hire a forger. It is directed by Steven Soderberg, stars Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel and has been earning rave reviews on the indie circuit. Option 2 is the latest action-thriller starring Bob Odenkirk, NORMAL! The film follows a temporary small-town sheriff who uncovers dark mysteries after a local bank robbery. Here are descriptions, trailers and our plan for this event:
THE CHRISTOPHERS: The children of a once famous artist hire a forger to complete some unfinished, long ago abandoned canvases so they'll have a better inheritance when he dies. It is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars Ian McKellen, Michaela Coel, Jessica Gunning and James Corden. BUZZ & ACCLAIM: The film is earning an excellent 97% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes where critics call it a âdynamic, emotional and surprising journeyâ and a âcompelling chamber piece that works like intellectual comfort food.â Others call the film, an âincredibly funny, comedy drama with plot reversals that make it feel like itâs on the verge of a thriller!â TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H79-EqzmdwY&t=20s
NORMAL: This action-crime-thriller follows a man who comes to the sleepy town of Normal, Minnesota to serve as the temporary sheriff. But a bank robbery leads him to a criminal underground reaches throughout the entire town. The film is directed by Ben Wheatley and stars Bob Odenkirk, Henry Winkler and Lena Headey. The film comes from the same team that brought us Nobody and the John Wick series, so expect an over-the-top, action-filled thrill ride! TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rmm-lM33Qw0&t=19s
PLAN: Weâll plan for a 7pm-ish showing of both films and will meet in the lobby area about 30 minutes before showtime. Once showtimes are announced, advance ticket purchase is advised (GFC website preferred)! Please list your movie of choice and seat number in the Comments section of this event. Showtimes and complete details will be confirmed/announced as the date gets closer.
PARKING: Close, convenient parking is available in the nearby garage (located between 9th and 11th, just off High St). Bring your ticket with you and have it validated at the theater and for $2, youâre covered for the night!
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to âpin the blameâ on someone or something. If you donât find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, donât know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe youâve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
⢠How to âeraseâ the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isnât always repeating past mistakes.
⢠Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
⢠Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
⢠Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
⢠Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
⢠What underlies âcorrosive criticismâ or the need to invalidate self or others?
⢠How one can stably change oneâs outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
⢠Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
⢠How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
⢠How to enhance oneâs own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or oneâs career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are âstoredâ and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can âeraseâ those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become âtoxicâ personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you wonât be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
