Guided Life Drawing
In our beginner-friendly first hour, we offer verbal guidance on how to approach poses, and one-on-instruction for anyone who wants it as you move through the process by Ann and Jen (don't worry--if you just want to show up and do your own thing we won't be looking over your shoulder). We've seen and tutored artists of every level, from stick figure to full-on academic drawings, and are here to help-simply let us know at the beginning of class where you're at or raise your hand if you'd like personal guidance.

✨✍️ Welcome 🥾✨
This event is suitable for all, from total beginners to experienced artists. It is a welcoming space to ask others with help on composition, perspective and shading.
Please bring your own sketchbook and materials of your choice - from pencils, biros and markers to charcoal, pastels and paints.
Feel free to pack your own food and drink. We could also check out the local cafés ☕️
The nearest looks like Pen Ponds Kiosk.
🌿🌺 About Isabella Plantation 🌺🌿
It’s a 40 acre woodland garden set within an 1830s Victorian plantation within Richmond Park.
The garden first opened to the public in 1953 and is best known for its evergreen azaleas, which line the ponds and streams.
Let’s explore the collections of Rhododendron, Magnolia and Camellia, plus many other unusual trees and shrubs!
🚂 Getting here 🚌
The nearest bus routes are the No 85 and K3 (Warren Road stop).
They stop near Ladderstile Gate a pedestrian access gate off Kingston Hill on the south east side of the park.
A marked trail will lead you from Ladderstile Gate to Broomfield Hill Gate after a 15 minute walk.
Let’s meet at Broomfield Hill Gate from 12pm-12.15pm and walk together towards the gardens.
Let’s Draw! British Museum Edition
Come join me for this week’s ‘Let’s Draw!’ Session, at the **British Museum!**
**Please** bring your own sketching/drawing supplies if you can, however I can bring a couple spare pencils and sketchpads in case anyone needs them on the day.
**Completely beginner friendly!** I’ve only been drawing for a few months, so i’m still learning. However if you are an artistic veteran, this event is open to you as well of course😉.
I’ll be stood outside the main bookshop in the Great Court at **1pm**. I’ll attach a map in the comments section. If you are running late or can’t make it please let me know.
Once everyone’s arrived, we can either split up and work individually, or in groups, the choice is yours. Then we will meet back up at 3pm to see how everyone got on.
To avoid disappointment, I would advise that you prebook your entry ticket online on the British Museum website for 1pm.
Hope to see you there!

Saturday Afternoon Life Drawing & Painting LONG POSE
This is just a studio session, with no Zoom.
We will have a life model in the same pose for three hours in the afternoon, usually for two consecutive weeks.
This is an untutored session run by a professional painter who will always be happy to give advice.
Other than model breaks, usually every 25 minutes, we break for tea and cake at 3.30pm for twenty minutes.
Our studio is divided up into workstations or ‘positions’ and whilst each position has a good view of the model many artists prefer to be front and centre. (Actually, you often get a more interesting composition to the side of the room).
You can also just turn up at the studio on spec and find a place to paint.
Our studio has a light and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, come and paint with us! We have a wonderful community of artists who join us each week.
Costs
From £20 – £25 per session

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
