The equinox itself is a point of balance between day and night, and Libra, represented by the scales, reminds us of harmony, justice, and peace. As the sun moves through this season, we are invited to reflect on our own equilibrium—acknowledging both light and shadow, and aligning ourselves with balance on our inner and outer paths.

The Pagan observance of winter solstice reminds us that even at the coldest time of year, the turning has already begun. We celebrate this cosmic promise of renewal, the quiet peace that this time of dormancy holds, and the hope that sustains us through winter's depths. Lindsay River is a long-time member of New Unity, and has been a pagan since 1975. She has followed different spiritual paths within that broad umbrella, taught workshops and classes, and trained individual seekers.
