ComedyShorts Berlin is fast-paced competitive improv comedy-match played like a sporting event. Two teams go head-to-head in a playful, highly interactive battle-of-wits where the audience yells out suggestions all night and votes for which team brings on the ‘funny.’ ComedyShorts returns to the 800a for another night of wild lively fun between the teams and the audience. This show is also the 62nd Birthday Celebration for Brian Kapell, the founder of CS, and a founding-father of 'short-form improv,' going strong after 41 years of playing these games. Come and make some noise with Brian and the team. The group performs in English, has been putting on shows since 2005 and has featured many of Berlin’s top improv talent over the years. Shut-Up & Write Zehlendorf meets Fridays, except during school holidays, following the standard format of 15 minutes to say hello, followed by two 45 minute writing sessions and a break in between. The location is a cozy coworking space, which means it's quite peaceful, with no music playing or customers chatting around us. Coffee and tea are available in the kitchen, so there's no pressure to purchase anything (though donations are welcome!). So come and join us for some quiet work in a quiet space. Join our welcoming **life drawing** session where participants are invited to both draw and model. A relaxed and respectful space for **creative exploration**. Our **Longer Poses Sessions** give you the opportunity to go more into detail when we do **up to 25 minutes** poses. The session takes place in our beautiful space **right at the waterfront** at Spreefeld, creating a calm and inspiring atmosphere for drawing. All our events are **queer-friendly** and have a personal and inviting feel to them. Also we're very **beginner-friendly**: Whether you’re experienced or just curious to try life drawing for the first time — you are welcome. 1.5-Hour Sgraffito Workshop Discover the decorative technique of sgraffito in this focused one-and-a-half-hour ceramic workshop. Working on prepared clay tiles, you’ll use underglazes and carving tools to create layered designs by scratching through the surface to reveal the clay beneath. This session is perfect for beginners and anyone curious about surface decoration. You’ll explore line, pattern, and contrast while learning how this traditional technique can create bold, graphic results. All materials are included: Prepared clay tiles Underglazes Tools and aprons After the workshop, your pieces will be clear glazed and fired by Clayground. They will be ready to collect approximately two weeks later. **The Quiet Hour** is a two-and-a-half-hour guided journey for women — a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of shared presence. When we speak about healing in this space, it is not limited to one dimension. It can touch the emotional, mental, and physical layers of our experience. The intention is to create a moment where the body can soften, the mind can quiet, and we can reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity and alignment within ourselves. During the evening, we guide you through meditation, visualization, sound, and gentle energy work. The vibrations of sound help the body release tension, while the guided visualization invites you to reconnect with the life you wish to create and the deeper intentions that live within you. Together, we also explore the power of identity — the understanding that the way we see ourselves shapes the life we experience. When we reconnect with our inner strength and authenticity, we begin to move from emotional chaos toward a more grounded and stable foundation within ourselves. At **SheWhoRests**, we believe that every woman carries immense strength within her. Yet even the strongest among us needs connection — someone who believes in our dreams, understands our struggles, and holds space for our journey. We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Showcase Phase: We show some of the drawings we did to each other. **Who We Are** Creative Sessions is an art events group located in Berlin. **Is it Free?** The event is free of charge. It is advisable to get a drink though. This is a cafe, we need to have at least half of the people on each table with a drink. They accept only cash and most hot drinks cost from 2.50 to 3.50. **How to help or donate?** The event is provided for free but many people help this be a regular thing. Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. **SCHEDULE:** 6:45ish - Quick introductions 7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour 8:00 - The End **OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour.
