Ruha Singing Circle
Everything in the universe vibrates: from the whisper of a leaf to the pulse of the stars. Sound is the primordial heartbeat of creation, and music, its universal language. For humans, singing is not just a creative expression; it is a path to transcendence, a bridge between the mundane and the divine.
The Voice, our most intimate and sacred instrument, resonates with ancestral echoes. Since time immemorial, it has been used in healing rituals, as a channel for spiritual connection, and a key to higher states of consciousness. When we sing with sacred intention, breath, mind, and heart merge into a harmonious flow that transports us to deep peace and a precious state of contemplation. Sacred singing opens an inner space of living silence, where vibration becomes a healing dance that harmonises our being.

**[Free with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/writing-circle/w26-2026/)**
This workshop invites LGBTQI+ participants to approach writing as a practice of listening. Together, we will explore what it means to listen carefully to ourselves, to one another, and to the multiplicity of worlds we inhabit.
It’ll also be an opportunity to consider how writing emerges from encounters, conversations, memories, silences, and different forms of attention. No previous writing experience is required; conducted in English, but open to all languages.
The workshop invites participants interested in poetry, storytelling, reflection, and all forms of creative experimentation.
**Words and stories reside within all of us, waiting to be discovered.**
Our monthly Open Writing Circle invites people with all levels of writing experience to explore their creativity and imagination.
In each session, one of Berlin’s many exceptional writers, poets, artists, or curators will create a vibrant and collective learning experience.
Whether you’re interested in fiction, memoir, non-fiction, or poetry, this supportive space encourages you to uncover the words within you. We’ll draw upon techniques used in writing workshops to unleash your innate talent in a collaborative environment that will allow for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights.
This workshop aims to create an affirming, playful and empowering space for queer people to explore, express and celebrate their identities as well as to provide a platform for the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community to be shared, heard and valued.

Grenzen wahrnehmen. Das Unbekannte erforschen. Alternative "Ich's" ausprobieren.

Important Rules
The event is for connection and VibXchange.
You may of course introduce yourself and explain what you do.
Religion, politics and sexual topics are not discussed at CBC after-work events.
Inviting members of the CBC network into competing networks is considered unethical and will result in immediate exclusion from the club & the community.

CBC should grow — with the right energy and the right individuals.
You contribute by inviting people who:
share our values
think entrepreneurially
are open to meaningful exchange
like to have fun

Our Commitment to You
We work day and night to build CBC:
marketing, partnerships, events, standards, branding and structure.
We invest time, resources and reputation because we deeply believe in this concept.

Wofür CBC steht
Unser Verhaltenskodex
Unsere Grundprinzipien
Ehrlichkeit
Verlässlichkeit
Respekt
Toleranz und Weltoffenheit
Nulltoleranz gegenüber Diskriminierung
(kein Rassismus, kein Sexismus, kein Ausschluss)
unsere Werte teilen
unternehmerisch denken
offen für echten Austausch sind
Jede Empfehlung stärkt die Community.
Jede neue Person erweitert unser gemeinsames Potenzial.
Unser Commitment an Dich
Wir arbeiten Tag und Nacht am Aufbau des Clubs:

**How Does It Work?**
This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually.

Filmmakers & Movie Nerds Meetup #187
Curious what we do? Check our [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/filmmakersandmovienerds/) ♥️
Would you like to meet some like-minded filmmakers? Start a project? Or do you need help with a movie you are currently working on? Are you new in the city and you'd like to meet people tinkering with movies?
**Then you should join us!**
We meet every Sunday. It’s important to us that we get to know each other in person. To create a community of connected people, work, learn and grow together. For film making you need a crew of reliable people with a positive can-do-attitude. This is the place to find them.
Together, we will talk about these topics:
* What you are currently working on
* What you need help with
* What would you like to help with
* What you you would like to learn
This is event is great for:
* filmmakers
* movie nerds
* writers
* camera operators
* editors
* actors
* sound recorders
* composers
* gaffers
* producers
We are limiting the amount of people, so we can have a structured introduction and discussion. After that we get together loosely with some drinks and chats. And then we mostly go for dinner with a couple of us.
**Important information**:
*To sustain and grow this amazing community, we started a member contribution that is due every month. The money we collect is used solely for the purpose of the community. Of course you can come once or twice without contributing to check us out!*
Screenwriting Focus Group | Filmmakers & Movie Nerds
**🎬 Screenwriters' Meetup Invitation 🎬**
This meetup is for anyone passionate about storytelling—whether you’re a screenwriter, filmmaker, producer, or someone with a great idea looking for the right collaborators. Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your screenplay, this is the perfect space to create, collaborate, and refine your work.
This time we are doing something a little different. Instead of an open project session or a creative writing exercise, we will focus on a common theme:
**From Feeling to Image – How Films Make Ideas Visible**
We will watch two short films and discuss how filmmakers translate feelings, ideas and themes into images. How can loneliness be shown? What does loss look like? Which places, objects or situations can express a particular feeling?
Together we will explore how filmmakers find images, symbols and moments that make an idea or emotion tangible and memorable.
This session is not only interesting for screenwriters, but also for directors, producers and anyone interested in how films communicate meaning through images.
As always, everyone is welcome — whether you write, direct, produce or are simply curious about films and storytelling.

A monthly healing space where we gather to tend the pieces of ourselves and weave them back into wholeness that we are. Each session opens with a Soulbits oracle image setting the tone for the gathering we will move through. We will come together to honor the natural rhythms of rooting, rising, releasing, and receiving; the cycles that shape the soul’s journey.
Through the four pillars of being: mindset, movement, connection & nourishment, we will create a space where imagery, sensation, and community weave together. Where the body becomes the guide, images act as mirrors, and the soul speaks. This circle is about noticing what rises, honoring what’s true, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself ready to be seen.
This is a space to gather your scattered pieces, soften your body, and return to your truth with community by your side. Soulbits Circle is a reminder that every fragment of your story, every soulbit, belongs. Together we weave them into the blooming wholeness that you are.

Cookout and fireworks
Local members of Ohio Paper Folders are invited to our home Fourth of July cookout and fireworks show. This will be on Sat July 4th.
This is a four grill (plus a big-ass smoker) cookout with burgers, brats, veggi burgers, salmon burgers, roasted corn and lots of sides (feel free to bring a side).
The fireworks show is...huge. 760 mortars plus four tables of multi-shot cakes. (anything worth doing is worth over-doing).
We start cooking around 5:00 PM, end when everyone is stuffed.
Fireworks just after sundown, so around 9:30 PM.
We have an air conditioned building where people hang out and eat.
Here is a [link to 2025 show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNS4q5TrEdc) (rushed a bit because rain coming in)
Rain date Sun July 5th. Plenty of parking.

Shut Up & Write!™ Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator.
Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking!
• What we'll do
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros.
10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you!
• What to bring
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible.
See you at The Café on Saturday!
