Fahnestock Canopus Lake Through Bushy Ridge

You are invited to join us for a moderate 10-mile hike with about 1500 elevation gain. This hike will take about 6 hours.
We will meet at 8:30 for a prompt 8:45 AM hike start at Lake Canopus, 3 Lakes Trailhead (couple hundred yards from boat launch), 1072 Cold Spring Turnpike, Route 301, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. GPS: 41.45468, -73.83384
The hike will begin on (B) 3 Lakes to Green onto Blue where we will pick up the (Y) Connector. At the next junction we will head north on (W) Roaring Brook. At Stillwater Pond we will use the (B) Stillwater Loop to the (R ) Pasture Loop. Upon reaching the (W) Roaring Brook we will head south. At the (Y) Connector we will continue to the White trail north up the highest climb of the day. At the junction we will continue on Blue to Green to (B) 3 Lakes to the parking lot.

Bring appropriate gear including a light/headlamp, micro-spikes, food, and water. Review/bring your map to be aware of topography and our location.

If Unable to Attend: Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, so people on the waitlist can attend. If on the day of the event, you cannot make it, please take your name off the going list. Not attending hikers will be marked as “No-Show.” People with multiple “No-Show” will not be allowed on future hikes. Thanks....
