For adult volleyball players of all skill levels, our group offers weekly events including pickup games, clinics, and mini-tournaments. Want to play without committing to an entire season? Our group is perfect if you're new in town, just visiting, or have been here for years and want to add a game to your schedule. Grab a Game is also a great way to meet other players or join a team. You will play with friendly people just like you who want a good game while having some fun and improving their skills. We look forward to seeing you on the court!
What can I expect with Grab a Game Volleyball?
We welcome new players every week and we love our regulars! A paid host at each event guarantees everything is well-organized and you get the most out of your playing time.
Whether it’s an open gym, clinic, or tournament, please feel comfortable signing up by yourself or with a friend. We work hard to create an atmosphere where you can have fun playing with a bunch of strangers.
Most of our events are open to all skill levels (from beginner to competitive) and we do a great job of creating even teams so that you don’t have to worry about all the beginners on one team and all the pros on another. We often have multiple courts where we can match you up with other players at your level.
Who is Grab a Game?
Grab a Game is a division of Chicago Sport and Social Club (chicagosocial.com) and is run by experienced and passionate players who have successfully organized leagues, tournaments and pickup games for many years. Chicago Sport and Social Club is the leading U.S. company that organizes, markets, and operates adult recreational sports and social events.

Volleyball Ladder Tournament at Sport House - Hyde Park

All players play the whole time in our volleyball ladder tournament! This format welcomes players and teams of all levels to get matched up against teams at a similar level. After each game, winners move up a court and losers move down a court. The winning team on the top court for the final game of the night is crowned champions.
Location: This event takes place at Sport House - 1301 E 47th St bldg 1 Chicago, Il 60653. Free parking is available.

$18 per person*
$80 for a 5-pack of $15 games
$35 for a Weekly Pass (Up to 5 games in 7 days)
*Plus 9% City of Chicago Amusement Tax and 5% Processing Fee.
Cancelation Policy
If you sign up, we're counting on you to be there before the game starts and stay the whole time. If you need to cancel, you'll automatically receive a game credit back on your account if you cancel 2 or more hours before game time. No refunds or credits for no-shows or late cancellations.
What to Expect: Arrive 10-15 minutes before game time and check in with the Grab A Game host on the courts. Games will begin at the advertised start time. Plan to stay the whole time.

Volleyball - Turkey Tourney - Intermediate (B) Division

Get ready to bump, set, and spike your way into the holiday season at our annual Volleyball Turkey Tourney! This event takes Grab A Game’s signature pickup-style tournaments to the next level—delivering an exciting, competitive, and fun experience. Two Divisions: Intermediate (B) and Upper Intermediate (BB) You can sign up as a full team or as in Indy player.
- Every team is guaranteed at least four games!
- Champions will take home Medals, sponsor prizes, and trophies.
- Savor complimentary snacks and refreshments, and keep an eye on the live scoreboard throughout the day!
The stakes get higher as the top teams from group play compete in single-elimination playoffs, adding to the tournament's excitement.
Format: Teams will play in group play, and the top team will go into a single-elimination playoff.
Pricing:
Individual Player: $30 per person -
Full Team: $175 per team. (Captains must pay) -
Location: The Drucker Center, 1535 N. Dayton St., Chicago, IL 60642. Enter through the main entrance. Proceed down the hallway. Gyms are on the left-hand side. Check in with the Grab A Game host on the court. Free Parking in the Parking Lot. Street metered parking on the street.
Check-in begins at 9:30 AM, and games will start at 10:00 AM. Please ensure your team arrives early to check in and review expectations and regulations before the tournament begins.
