Tickets to the Redsnake event in February will be limited. Specifically, we are limited to 120 people. Rather than just offering tickets on-line and having people race to get them, Mat, Angel, and I thought it would be more fair to split the tickets in half (60 to PhillyPUG, 60 to Philly.rb) and distribute them to our user group members directly. I will have 60 tickets at the January PhillyPUG meeting. If you are at the meeting, you will have an opportunity to get your ticket then. You have to be physically there to get a ticket. You can only get one ticket -- i.e., no taking an extra for a friend. Tickets that do not get disbursed at the January user group meetings will then be put into a single pool and offered on-line on a first-come-first-served basis.
The moral of the story above is: if you want to ensure you get a spot at Redsnake, come to the January meeting. If we have over 60 people at our January meeting who want Redsnake tickets, the first 60 people will get their tickets. The remainder of the people will go on a wait list. As people cancel or we find additional space at the venue, the wait list tickets will be fulfilled -- preference will be given to those who have shown up consistently to the monthly meetings in 2011 -- perfect attendance pays off!
