Mock Interviews, Job Search Labs and Cheesecake
Details
Interviewing is hard to practice alone, and job searching can feel isolating. Agile Denver is opening a room where people can get useful practice, work on real job-search materials, and meet others who are willing to help.
This is a free, flexible career event for people across roles, industries, and experience levels. Come for one activity or stay for the whole evening to casually network with the community, there's no required expectation other than having fun!
What to Expect
- Mock Interviews Practice a behavioral, recruiter, hiring-manager, technical, portfolio, leadership, or case interview with a volunteer professional. Each session runs about 15-20 minutes: focused practice followed by respectful, practical feedback. Mock interview space is limited. Come early to practice your interviewing skills! We'll make as many thoughtful matches as possible based on role, interview type, experience level, and volunteer availability. Walk-up sessions may also be available.
- AI Job-Search Labs Bring your laptop and a pen, and work on something real. Facilitators Rayna and Dan run a two part session that ends with two things you can actually say out loud in an interview, a personal brand statement and a success story, built from your own material in the room. In Part 1, Rayna walks you through a single page worksheet with five prompts, your values, your strengths, the work that actually energizes you, a problem you fixed that nobody asked you to fix, and what other people say you are best at. Shared word banks on each table give you lists to circle from so nobody stalls on a blank page. In Part 2, Dan takes what you have written and helps you shape it into your brand statement and success story, framed as your definition of done. I help [who] [do what] by [strength], because [reason].
- Community Resources and Connection Meet organizations that support training, career development, and employment pathways. Spend time in the social area, make new connections, and enjoy snacks, drinks, cheesecake, and cheesecake.
