The group is facilitated by a trained and qualified Janus worker. This group is designed to offer support, encouragement and to provide a forum, that allows you to make informed choices. The objective of this group is to liberate you from the labels of addiction, dependency, illness sickness and "disease", replacing them with the more proactive terminology of choice, responsibility, self control and decision making. Janus does not use the 12 step model. To provide a rich illustration for our learning point the session includes considering an optional theme through art expression of natural networks. This may include mycelium, plant roots, and systems in the animal and plant worlds. (Or you can see what emerges for you on the day). This will include awareness of the personal and collective challenges we currently face, including social and racial injustices and climate crisis.
