GO: Bowland & Morecambe Getaway (Hiking & Seaside)

Another blockbuster GO: Heart Of England bank holiday getaway, making only our 2nd-Ever sojourn to the superb Pennine landscapes of The Bowland Hills. We will also spend in-between social time around Morecambe bay, so we are staying in Morecambe, from where drives to the Bowland zone are relatively short. Arriving Saturday morning is easily viable, though arriving Friday evening is another option.

Staying Over
Please book your own accommodation, sharing with other members as you wish, usually better deals if done now, or at least well in advance. Morecambe has a centrally situated Travelodge near the seafront, and other budget hotels plus Airbnbs. And Lancaster which merges into Morecambe has a Premier Inn. Event hosts plan to stay at The Travelodge (see link below), where it currently works out at £30 pppn sharing a double/twin.

Evenings:
These can be fairly casual social affairs in the town centre, noting there is a good Wetherspoons for early evening eating, namely The Eric Bartholomew very close to our Travelodge.

We have only created an event for Saturday night but no doubt will go out Sunday night too.
