A walk through the majestic landscaping of Dulwich Park and the charmingly picturesque Dulwich Village.
LEAFY SUBURBS, OPULENCE, MANSIONS, PARKLANDS, GARDENS, LAKE followed by SOCIALISING with CHEAP FOODS and DRINKS in a convivial pub atmoshere.
A walk through leafy suburbs of South London. Our walk takes us through HORNIMAN GARDENS, DULWICH PARK, DULWICH VILLAGE and RUSKIN PARK before finishing at 'The Fox on the Hill' pub near Denmark Hill Station.
WALK START POINT: Forest Hill Station (National Rail and London Overground Zone 3).
WALK DISTANCE: Approx 5.5 miles.
WALK END POINT: Denmark Hill Station - National Rail and London Overground Zone 2).

WALK DISTANCE: Approx 5.0 miles.
WALK ROUTE: From Sudbury Town Station a walk through Horsenden Wood and up to Horsenden Hill, folowed by a walk along the Grand Union Canal to One Tree Hill Open Space and Alperton.
WALK END POINT: ALperton Station (Piccadilly Line - Travelzone 4).
WALK STOP OUT POINT: There is also a direct route to Perivale Station about half way through the walk. Also we are close to London Bus routes.

- BANK HOLIDAY WALK to LITTLE VENICE GRAND CANAL CAVALCADE.Alperton, Greater London£5.00
CANAL WALK, CANAL FESTIVAL, followed by PUB SOCIALISING.
A Bank Holiday Weekend Walk commencing at Alperton Station (Piccadilly Line) and finishing at the LITTLE VENICE GRAND CANAL CAVALCADE. Walking is one of life's great social activities.
WALK START POINT: Gather at Alperton Station (Piccadilly Line). Alperton station is in Travelcard Zone 4. When you arrive at the station look for Ken with Kens Events/Meetup Flag or Badge outside the station.
WALK ROUTE: Canal walk from Alperton to Little Venice and Paddington.
WALK DISTANCE: Approx 6 miles.
WALK END POINT: At the Grand Canal Cavalade festival at Little Venice and Paddington. We aim to finish near to Paddington Station at around 4.45pm. On arrival at the Canal Cavalcade we can break up into smaller groups to enjoy the festival. .
WALK STOP OUT POINTS: It is easy to pick up London bus routes at canal/road bridges.
The Canalway Cavalcade is a distinctive waterway festival that has been taking place at Little Venice since 1983. Organised by Inland Waterways Association volunteers, there will be an array of boats, trade show stalls and boater gatherings at this festival for water lovers. As well as the boating activities, there will also be Morris dancing, competitions, food, family-friendly activities and a real ale bar, making it an enjoyable day out for families.
Guests of members and those without the Ken's Events Membership card will be asked to pay £5 for this walk.

- SCENIC WALK: WIMBLEDON to RICHMOND via CANNIZARO PARKWimbledon, London£5.00

A VERY SCENIC WALK through Wimbledon Common and the very beautiful Cannazaro Park with all its spring flowers, and other greenspaces, and a section of the Thames Path en-route to Richmond.

RAIN POLICY: Our walks normally go ahead as planned even if it rains. Light rain is not usually a problem . However if torrentail rain is forecast, please check back to this webpage on the day of the event around 3 hours before the start for the latest update.

GENERAL RISKS for all WALKS: In the walks in this group we use; country stiles,pavements, cross busy roads, public parkland, paths alongside water, bridlepaths, country lanes and other established paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Wear good sturdy shoes/walking boots. To avoid insects, thorns, and stinging nettles, bare legs are not recommended. Take care as surfaces may be uneven, there may be low branches and some paths are also used by joggers and cyclists and sometimes cars (country lanes). Some tracks may be muddy and slippery. On occasion we may encounter wild and farm animals. If you require insurance for these walks you must arrange this yourself. No small children or large dogs please.

CIRCULAR WALK :- A SCENIC COUNTRYSIDE WALK IN KENT, taking in the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve. We start and finish the walk at Sevenoaks Railway Station.
FRESH AIR: Give up the city streets for a day and breathe some fresh air. Improve your overall fitness levels. Get out, explore and enjoy London's abundant and sometimes secret green spaces and forest areas, and surrounding coutryside. Get fit and meet some new friends at the same time.
WALK START: Outside Sevenoaks National Rail Station. Trains from Charing Cross and Victoria in Central London.
WALK DISTANCE : Approx 4 miles
WALK FINISH: At Sevenoaks Train Station. There are frequent trains back to London from Sevenoaks. Journey time 35 minutes to Charing Cross, or about an hour to Victoria.SEVENOAKS WILDLIFE RESERVE
The site covers 71 hectares (175 acres) and includes several lakes, ponds, reedbeds and woodlands. The reserve attracts a wide variety of birds including Geese, Plover, Lapwing, Moorhen, Coot, and various Ducks.If travelling from Central London, you can catch the train from London Victoria (about 45 minutes train journey).
RISKS: All the usual risks of countryside walking apply, including country stiles to be climbed. Please dress appropriately for weather conditions and carry a bottle of water and necessary medication. You need to be moderately fit for this walk and be able to walk for four miles without a break. In these walks we use; pavements, cross busy roads, public parkland, towpaths alongside water, other public paths, rights of way, bridlepaths, country lanes and other established paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Please only wear good sturdy shoes, preferably walking boots and take care as surfaces may be uneven, tree roots may protrude, there may be low overhanging branches and some paths are also used by joggers and cyclists and sometimes cars (country lanes). Some tracks may be muddy and slippery. If you require insurance for these walks then you must arrange this yourself.
No dogs are allowed on this walk (no entry into wildlife reserve).
COST: Free for holders of the Ken's Events Card. Otherwise there is a £5 fee.
