Try Screen Acting - Free Workshop

From Melbourne Actor Social

# 🎬 MELBOURNE ACTOR SOCIAL 🎭 ## FREE INTRODUCTORY SCREEN ACTING WORKSHOP **Ever wanted to try screen acting?** Melbourne Actor Social is a new community for actors, aspiring actors and creatives in Melbourne who want to **connect, meet new people and have fun with screen acting.** For our very first workshop, we're inviting you to come along, meet other actors and **get in front of the camera yourself.** Whether you've been acting for years or you've **never acted before**, you're welcome. ### 🎥 WHAT YOU'LL DO This isn't just a workshop where you sit and listen. You'll have the opportunity to: 🎭 Take part in acting warm-ups and exercises 🎬 Learn some basic screen-acting techniques 🤝 Work with other participants 📖 Rehearse a short scene 🎥 **Get in front of the camera** 🎬 Perform your scene and experience what it's like to act for screen 📧 **Receive a copy of your recorded content after the workshop** 🤝 Meet and connect with other Melbourne actors and creatives ### 🌟 NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Never done screen acting before? **That's completely fine.** This workshop is designed to be relaxed, friendly and encouraging. You don't need to be a professional actor, have an agent or have a screen-acting résumé. If you've always thought: *"I'd love to try acting but I don't know where to start..."* **This is your chance.** ### 💰 FIRST WORKSHOP — FREE The workshop itself is **FREE**. A **$20 non-refundable registration fee** is required to secure your place. The registration fee helps us manage our limited places and reduce last-minute cancellations and no-shows. ### 👥 LIMITED TO 25 PARTICIPANTS We're keeping our first workshop small so that everyone has an opportunity to participate and get time in front of the camera. **Only 25 places available.** ### 📹 YOUR FOOTAGE Participants will have the opportunity to be recorded performing their scene. A copy of your recorded content will be **emailed to you after the workshop.** So you'll leave with more than just the experience — you'll have footage of yourself performing on camera. ### 🎬 THE IDEA Melbourne Actor Social isn't about egos or competition. It's about bringing Melbourne's acting community together. **Meet people. Try things. Create something. Have fun.** Whether you're an experienced actor or someone taking their very first step into screen acting... **Come and give it a go.** 🎥 *** ### 📍 EVENT DETAILS **Melbourne Actor Social — Free Introductory Screen Acting Workshop** 📅 Date: Saturday 10/10/26 ⏰ Time: 1100 📍 Location: Ringwood 👥 Places: 25 💰 Workshop: FREE 🎟️ Registration: $25.00 non-refundable **No experience required.** **Come along.
