Lose yourself in a bit of wood carving! Learn the process of safely using an axe and knife to shape a raw piece of wood into something you can proudly take with you. The tools and wood are all provided for you. The first half of every workshop will focus on making a specific themed item to practice basic skills. The second half will be open to further refine the piece or to explore some personal carving aspirations. The four hour workshop is donation based. The classes will mostly be held in English with some German as well. Join us for a creative gathering for neurodivergent people, including those with autism, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexia, and similar neurodivergences. This meetup is a chance to make friends, chat, and enjoy arts and crafts with other neurodivergent individuals. **Activities include:** * Clay work * Abstract painting * Finger painting * Creative journaling * Doodling and more Each session offers different activities, with some focused on one project and others on exploring multiple creative outlets. Painting Workshop - Oil Colors, Acrylics [Abstract Approach]

A 2.5 hours oil color - acrylics painting lesson. **About this course** This is a painting workshop with the goal of teaching people how to create paintings using either oil colors or acrylics. The total subject lessons consists of around **27 lessons** that last 2.5 hours each. You can join at any time during the course. On each lesson the first part will be about theory and exercise and the second one about canvas time. Each participant will have the chance to work on canvas and start making paintings as artworks. All materials are provided by us. Each lesson has a subject. We do not follow a particular order, and every lesson is actually unique and many times personalized. This means that every time the attendess will have to do something new and different. You do not have to paint on canvas and with the mentioned art materias, you can also choose to use any of your wish. Most of the observations and exercises work well with all art materials. It is suitable for beginners and or even professionals who want to rationalize the canvas painting process. It is being hosted by the visual artist [Miltos Despoudis](https://miltosdespoudis.gr/). **How much does it cost?** Check below: * 5 x Lessons Packet (2.5 hours each) cost **120€.** * First lesson try-out costs **17€**. You can do that only once. * 1 x Lesson (2.5 hours) costs **30€.** You can pay either by cash or card at the event. All of the materials are included within the ticket reservation **except the canvases.** You can paint anything on a canvas we will provide you free but if you want to keep the canvas you will have to purchase it at the same cost we bought it. Canvases range from 3 to 9 Euros. **How do I subscribe?** You need to reserve a spot here and come at the event. You can pay at the event. Please verify that you are attending so that we know and prepare accordingly with the art supplies. **What do I need?** Watercolors materials will be provided at the venue. You can also bring your own art supplies, it might be helpful to learn working with what you have. **You like sketching but feel your drawings lack depth?** **A solid grasp of the basics will definitely help.** Learn or refine pencil hatching and shading techniques and embrace the potential of a medium as powerful and versatile as the pencil! Take your pencil skills further with exercises to build tone, texture and volume. We will start from the basics with a broad overview, covering pencil softness, pressure control, angle, tip shape, paper tone and highlights, gradually progressing to more advanced hatching techniques. This format offers a flexible and supportive approach, adapting to each participant’s level, from helping beginners get started to guiding intermediate artists through their individual challenges. I am Alessia Sinopoli, an Italian professional artist based in Berlin, and I will be your instructor throughout this journey. **What we will do step by step:** **We will combine theory and practice with hands-on exercises.** Introduction to materials and getting familiar with the tools we will use, exploring the differences between pencils of various hardness and using graphite grades such as 2H, 2B and 6B to achieve a rich tonal range from light to dark. Hand posture and proper pencil grip for shading, with control of pencil angle. Pressure control training to learn how to vary pressure and achieve smooth tonal transitions. Contouring to define the forms with attention to angle and direction. Layering and blending by building up graphite in light layers, practicing hatching without blending tools to gain full control over tonal transitions, and then experimenting with blending to observe the differences. Enhancing highlights by using white pens or precision erasers to reinforce the brightest areas of the drawing. Sketching practice by drawing simple objects such as cherries, spheres or apples, focusing on progressive construction and conscious use of hatching to define form, depth and contrast. Discussion of common mistakes, identifying frequent pitfalls and learning how to avoid them. Personalized guidance and open Q&A throughout the workshop. **Break and refreshments:** While drawing, we will enjoy some tea. Between the first and second parts of the workshop, we will take a break, a perfect moment to connect, share a cup of coffee and enjoy a sweet treat together (vegan option available). **What is included?** **Leave home as light as a butterfly, everything is provided!** All materials are available for use during the workshop: graphite pencils of various degrees of hardness, high-quality drawing paper, precision eraser and erasers, pencil sharpeners and drawing references. Refreshments are included: tea, coffee and a sweet treat. **Who is this workshop for?** This workshop is for those who want to spend a cozy and relaxing Saturday in a creative environment while learning. Communicative, collaborative and creative drawing sessions. Participants draw a central still-life that the group can create themselves until the music track finishes and then pass it to the person on their left. The drawings change hands 3 to 5 times and the end results are always inspiring. After the collaborative warm-up participants can work individually on printing techniques, Mono -printing, tetra-pack or gelli. -printing. Feel free to try out a process that you are unfamiliar with. There will always be somebody to offer advice if necessary Bring A4 paper, and favourite materials, pencils & brushes. You can also use some studio materials in exchange for a small contribution. A fun but informative approach with consistently creative results!

**The Seasonal Artists** is a recurring workshop series exploring how the changing seasons transform the city around us, and ourselves. Once per season, we meet for an afternoon of analog art, collective creation, and good company. For the spring edition, we'll use creative writing, speed painting, and collage to capture what this time of year feels like, first as a group, then each on our own. The collective work becomes raw material to cut up, remix, and turn into personal fanzines that carry traces of everyone in the room. You'll take home your own handmade spring zine. 🌸 ***No artistic experience needed.
