Casual Painting Workshop in Flagstaff

For this meet-up, we’ll use water-based acrylic paints to create a small artwork that you can take home and display👩‍🎨 Each session includes a live demonstration from me, so beginners are absolutely welcome! The group is intentionally small, which means there is plenty of time for questions and individual guidance👍 Recent themes we've done include: 🌊A lakeside scene inspired by Ballarat 🌷A picture of flowers, "I want to display" 🌇A view of Geelong's sunset 🐶A fluffy moment Let me know what you would like to try :-) ***Place*** Flagstaff (👉The Blender Studios, meet 10 mins before the session starts in front of the cafe☕️ ) ***Fee*** **$60 AUD** All materials included! Life Story Zine Making Workshop

In this workshop, we will make a life story zine by sieving out core moments, memories, places, people, experiences, conversations and turning points that shape our precious life trajectory. You are invited to bring together many of these moments or zoom in into a specific theme or period of your life. Together, we will reflect on, celebrate and honour our rich journeys that have brought us here and imagine where we might go next. The zine does not have to be completed in the session, you are welcome to continue adding to it at home. All art materials provided, but feel free to bring your own photos, objects and materials. No experience necessary, just an open and curious body-mind Please note This workshop introduces Art Therapy as a practice but is not intended to replace individual or group therapy, which involves a deeper exploration of our histories, intentional collaboration and the building of a therapeutic relationship. This workshop is also not intended for emergency crisis support or intervention. If you are comfortable with me taking photos of you and/or your artwork for learning and supervision purposes, and to offer others a sense of what the workshop is like, please let me know at the start of the session. Artsy Afternoon @ O3Space ✨

Join us for a chill artsy afternoon, bring any art supplies you like 👩‍🎨🎨📝✨ Access to O3Space requires you to have the minimum ( FREE! ) membership that you sign up for when you download their app. Simply download the O3Space app, create a profile and use the QR code at the gate to enter/exit the building. The gate is located inside the tram on the right side of the cafe ☕️🚊 The free membership allows you in the building for up to 3 hours per week, if you go over they might charge you so make sure to use the QR code on your way out!! There is a timer countdown in the app so you know how long you have been there ⏰

Sketching at Bundoora Homestead

Hey Guys, For this event, we'll be sketching at Bundoora Homestead. A Queen Anne Federation styled, heritage home built in 1900 on Wurundjeri grounds by John Matthews and Vincent Smith. The property had previously served as a family home and repatriation facility before being refurbished as a public gallery in 2001. **Meetup Details:** We'll be meeting at the centre entrance at **11:00am** before making our way to the Cafe (adjacent to the exhibition entrance.) I've booked a table for 11 people. You guys can chill, draw, have something to eat/drink, and soak in the view of the Mansion gardens before viewing the exhibition upstairs. Or if you want, do it the other way around. *If you're looking to eat something substantial, I highly recommend having lunch beforehand as the cafe only serves light refreshments* **Public Transport and Parking:** **Route 86 tram** You can get off either at **Mt Cooper Dr** or **Greenwood Dr** to get to the homestead. **Mt Cooper Dr** (quicker route in my opinion) * Turn **Right onto Mt Cooper Dr** * Turn **Left at Boadle Rd** * Turn **Right on JV Smith Street (no through Road)** * **Walk Right on Snake Gully Dr** till you see a **wooden gate**, the main entrance is accessible from there. **Greenwood Dr:** * Turn Right onto Greenwood Dr and continue straight down the pathway near the cricket grounds till you see the homestead. **Parking:** * Parking is located directly in front of the venue and it's free :) Looking forward to meeting you guys there :)

It’s spooky season! 👻🪦🦇 Grab your art supplies and meet me at the spot i’ve marked on the map 🗺️ (located in the event images) the meeting spot is marked in blue and i’ve marked all the entrance gates in red since they are tricky to find. We will split up and walk around the cemetery taking inspiration from our surroundings for our sketches. Please meet me back at the meeting spot at 2:50pm to have a chat and share our artworks 👻✨ 🪦 Please be respectful of the dead while wandering the Cemetery 🪦

Knitting and Crocheting with Conversation and Coffee at Kindred Studios

**Description**: Join me to knit or crochet in the warm, friendly environment of Kindred Studios where we can share our skills and ideas. Knitters, crocheters and crafters of all abilities are welcome. The conversation is relaxed as we work on our projects together and it's a great way to make new friends. The Bass Note Cafe is within the studios and will bring great coffee and delicious snacks to our table. **Agenda**: I'll meet you at 10.00am inside Kindred Studios at the large table near the tiered seating. We have the space available until 12.00pm. **Location**: Kindred Studios 3 Harris St Yarraville Street parking is available nearby in Harris, Cowper, Hyde and Whitehall Streets. There are large red signs on the footpath to guide you to Kindred Studios. If you are coming by train take the Williamstown/Werribee line to Seddon Station. Grief becomes problematic when the conditions needed to help us work with grief are absent.” - Francis Weller Our primary association with grief is the loss of a loved one but there are so many kinds of losses that don't have formal ceremonies that are important to honour. Unprocessed grief can accumulate in weight, dulling our senses and capacity for aliveness. This is a safe, supportive space for all shapes, sizes and textures of grief- for the loss of our loved ones, for the childhood we did not get to have, for the parts of ourselves that have been rejected and exiled, for friendships and relationships with ambiguous endings, for homes and communities we are distanced from and miss, for the suffering of the world and our fellow beings. This inclusive grief circle is also an advocacy for compassionate and attentive grief work, for reshaping our understanding of and relationship with grief. It is a holding space, a container, a time and a deep permission to acknowledge our emotions, our connections, the ways we have been touched and transformed, and our humanity.
