**Polymer Clay Workshop -** **October 25, 2-4pm (Sunday)** **Learn the art of Polymer Clay and create coasters to use at home or give as a gift to someone you love. Tai Chi & Qigong - an hour of calm and quiet

This meeting is in person in our studio on 29th Street. We start with a Qigong warmup, Tai Chi basics, and the practice and learning of the Yang 24 Tai Chi form. We start with this classic Yang 24, and them move on to the "Wu system" - elegant, slow, powerful. The Yang 24 introduces all the basic Tai Chi elements and you'll get a good sense of what makes Tai Chi so special. Stick with it, and you can your way your way to sword, saber, cane, fan and more! Depending on who is attending, we end class with a Qigong set suitable for the moment (5 Elements, 13 Luohan or something else intriguing.) Of course, "Push Hands" is part of any Tai Chi system, and we often end the class by exploring Tai Chi moves with a partner. This meetup in intended to give you space to focus - on breathing, on your body, your mind, and on your health - without distractions. We relax and move with awareness and balance. We are breaking away from partnerwork for one hour every Wednesday to focus entirely on **you**. This class is designed to build a rock-solid foundation in traditional Dominican footwork, helping you master the syncopations, rhythms, and authentic flavor. We will bridge the gap between classic roots and modern social dancing, teaching you exactly how to drop eye-catching footwork and smooth body movement seamlessly into your dance. **What you will master this month:** * **Dominican Essentials:** Traditional steps, syncopated rhythms, and playful musicality. * **Body Isolation & Styling:** How to add natural flavor, hip movement, and poise without looking stiff or forced. * **Weight Transfers & Speed:** Build the agility and balance needed to nail fast footwork effortlessly. * **Social Floor Confidence:** Learn when and how to break apart from your partner and shine on your own. **No partner required. Wednesday Evening Inline Skate Class on Pier 76

PLEASE NOTE THAT LOCATION OF THIS CLASS IS NOT IN CENTRAL PARK We will be meeting in Pier 76 on Hudson River Park This inline-skate lesson is intended for beginner to intermediate levels. You need a complete set of protection gear (helmet, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads) to participate in class. Cost of this class is $25 per individual. Fees are collected before class begins. We recommend that you pay in advance, using the PayPal option. (If you want to buy classes in bulk, the cost is $45 for 2 classes, or $60 for a package of 3 classes. Discount packages should be paid in full.) We will meet just inside of pier 76 at 06:15PM; please walk inside of pier and keep to the left side (South side) of the pier under the overhead canopy Please check your gear to see if it fits properly, before coming to class. Make sure the wheels, buckles, straps, snaps, laces and everything else is in good working order. If it is raining or the lesson surface area is wet, we will NOT have the class. Bring your own materials (paint, charcoal, whatever gets you going) and work at your own pace. We'll stage the scene and leave you to it! Easels and desks available to use. Enjoy some extended time with a long pose and an interesting scene, Sundays at Drawing New York. **Note:** Soft pastels are not allowed due to health reasons.
