Live, In-Person NYC Drawing the Dance Workshop, where artists draw/paint the dancer and the dance movements. Each half is around 30 to 40 min long. **What to expect:** we start with dance movements and short poses of 30 sec & 1 min for warm up and then 3min, 5min, 8min poses while dancing slowly in between holding the poses. In the second half we have 5 min,10 min and 15 minutes poses adding dance segments in between poses. Dancer dances very slowly for the artists to try drawing the dance movements. **In-Person Tickets in advance: $20. Designed for artists ages 11–14, the class focuses on essential drawing techniques including mark-making and drawing from observation, guiding students toward thoughtfully composed still life drawings. **Class 1:** Exploring Our Tools - Our first session will focus on exploring the full potential of our tools; from pencils and drawing materials to the most important tools of all: our eyes and hands. **Class 2:** Building up the Form - In the second session, we will study light and value, and learn how careful observation and rendering of values helps make objects appear three-dimensional. **Class 3:** Balanced Compositions - For our third session we will consider the principle of design, Balance.
