Sketch the New East River Park!

The East Side Coastal Resiliency Project is a huge initiative that's redesigning the whole east side of lower Manhattan. It's to prevent storm flooding, but it's also giving us refurbished parks. Part of it is now open - let's meet up and sketch it together! **We'll meet at the entrance to Corlears Hook Park, at the corner of Jackson St and Cherry St, in the Lower East Side, Manhattan.** Then we'll walk across the FDR together (don't worry, there's a bridge) into the park to draw. Any problems on the day of the event, I can be reached at 646-831-9816. Looking forward to sketching with you! *** IMPORTANT: In case of rain, I will let people know early in the morning if it is canceled, and then reschedule for another day. *** What makes our Meetups different from other art groups and classes? There's no instruction, but we like to share our work, and chat and be inspired. Share tips and learn from people in a casual environment where all levels of artists are welcome! The park, which occupies a 20,000-square-foot lot between Prince and Spring Streets, was established in the 1990s by a local business owner, Allan Reiver, who leased the land from the city and filled it with sculptures and greenery. Over time, it became a beloved green space for residents. Her choreography often centers queer perspectives, using humor and absurdity as tools to critique nationalism and capitalism. **Theme: PRIDE MONTH!** **Duration:** Approx. 2hrs workshop with a 10 to 15 minutes break for costume change. Each half is around 30 to 40 min long interwoven with multiple poses and dance sections. **What to expect:** In the first half, we start with dance movements and short poses of 30 sec & 1 min for warm up and then we move on to 3min, 5min, 8min poses while dancing slowly in between holding the poses. In the second half we have 5 min,10 min and 15 minutes poses adding dance segments in between poses.
