Bring your latest craft project and settle in with fellow makers and tea lovers for a relaxed, welcoming gathering. Whether you enjoy knitting, crocheting, beading, drawing, sketching, calligraphy or another creative endeavor — any *portable* project is welcome. Enjoy a thoughtfully curated tea flight to be served throughout the evening, always including a soothing caffeine-free herbal option. ***Come sip, craft, and connect ✨*** \*\*Feel free to bring your own dinner, just be sure to clean up after yourself. Upcycle Social in person At Moodswing: Sew/ Arts/Finish it/Fix It!

Join the Upcycle Alameda community for some creative upcycling. Social sewists, artists, crafters, and Fix it folks: repair, repurpose, re-create. Now is a great time to finish old projects. You provide the elbow grease; we'll provide the moral support. Maria will be closing her vintage shop Moodswing and has invited us to visit and get creative together. There will be free things, a swap area… Bring food or drink if you can! (Some folks are vegetarian or vegan) We now have a donate button! While we don't have nonprofit status, we are in need of funds to meet our expenses... and while no one is turned away, any little bit makes a difference...Try the first one on us, and, if you like it, help us out when you can! Thursday Casual Clay Night

Looking to get your hands dirty on a Thursday night with some pottery? Pre-register and bring your friends for our Casual Clay evening. Acceptable from beginners that just want to try working with clay to more experienced potters wanting to hand build. Email clay@stickyartlab.com to register. UPDATED PRICING FOR 2026: Pricing is $40 for the first person, and $35 for each additional person in your group. This includes the firing fee and second session to glaze your pieces. Craft Beer at Fieldwork Brewing Company

I love craft beer, and I know there are others who appreciate a really good beer. Fieldwork makes some of the best, and their East Patio is a lovely place to hang out this time of year. We’ll give this a try with two tables and see how it goes. Tote Bag Sewing Workshop @ Ace Makerspace

Add a little pep to your schlep! Make a fabulous tote bag while exploring beginner sewing skills in this hands-on workshop! Our knowledgeable instructor will guide you through the whole process from cutting fabric, to using a sewing machine, to basic construction, and more. **Level:** Beginner **Timing:** 4 hours **Location:** Room #206 Textiles Studio **Certification:** None **Age:** 14+ (with adult accompaniment) This class is great for beginners or those who want to continue expanding their sewing project repertoire. In this class, Jasmine will go over hemming, darts, panels, and other common ways to alter the shape and fit of clothing. This is a great class for anyone who wants to build confidence with basic garment adjustments, better understand how clothing is constructed, or learn approachable ways to make pieces fit more comfortably.
