Bring your latest craft project and settle in with fellow makers and tea lovers for a relaxed, welcoming gathering. Whether you enjoy knitting, crocheting, beading, drawing, sketching, calligraphy or another creative endeavor — any *portable* project is welcome. As always, all types of fiber artists are welcome. \*\*\* *About the Location:* Espresso Roma Cafe is an Italian style cafe with a lovely covered patio full of greenery. They offer both lighter pastry options as well as full meals perfect for brunch, and of course coffee and tea. *How to Get There:* Bus: next to stops for the 12 route. 2 blocks from the 688 route. 10-12 min walk (0.5 miles) from the 79 and 52 routes. BART: 13 minute walk (0.6 miles) from North Berkeley Station Parking: street parking available. Would recommend turning off Hopkins to a residential street like California or McGee, where your luck will be better.

Upcycle Social in person At Moodswing: Sew/ Arts/Finish it/Fix It!

Join the Upcycle Alameda community for some creative upcycling. Social sewists, artists, crafters, and Fix it folks: repair, repurpose, re-create. Now is a great time to finish old projects. You provide the elbow grease; we'll provide the moral support. Maria will be closing her vintage shop Moodswing and has invited us to visit and get creative together. There will be free things, a swap area… Bring food or drink if you can! (Some folks are vegetarian or vegan) We now have a donate button! While we don't have nonprofit status, we are in need of funds to meet our expenses... and while no one is turned away, any little bit makes a difference...Try the first one on us, and, if you like it, help us out when you can! Looking to get your hands dirty on a Thursday night with some pottery? Pre-register and bring your friends for our Casual Clay evening. Craft Beer at Fieldwork Brewing Company

Weave Your Own Ribs Style Foraging Basket (Berkeley)

We’ll begin with an introduction to gourds: what they are, how they grow, and how they’ve been traditionally used for vessels, tools, and art. Before any weaving begins, we’ll scrub and clean our gourds together, connecting to the full process from raw material to finished piece. Participants will then learn the basics of pine needle weaving and how to use it to embellish and transform a gourd. Rather than a class, this is intended to be a group of folks working on projects together, though of course we’ll help each other out! But there won’t be any formal instruction in our sessions.
