Adventure League level: 1-4 (log sheet needed if above 1st level) New players: welcome (no experience necessary) This is a ongoing D&D 5 Adventure League group. We have games running every other Saturday from 4:00pm-10pm at private residences in Berkeley. Each of our GMs is running a different season (storyline) and runs a game every two weeks on average. Players are invited to play in a game every two weeks (often staying in the same storyline, but may play in multiple storylines if desired). We have events that tie the seasons together in various ways. The group has been running for several years now, with players of all experience levels. Adventure League is set in the world of Forgotten Realms. There is often room at games and you are welcome to contact the coordinator (Josiah) to be invited to future games. No experience is necessary (you're welcome to bring a existing Adventure League character from previous play as long as you have a full Adventure Log to share). Campaign Website: Berkeley Adventure League (https://sites.google.com/site/berkeleyadventuresleague/) Coordinator: Josiah Knight (Cell 510-470-4004; Email josiahknight@gmail.com) Note: Make sure to join and check the Facebook group to get invited to games, as this Meetup does not reflect whether the game is full or not. You can share your contact information for gaming availability here as well: [http://bit.ly/gaming_availability](http://bit.ly/gaming_availability) Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BayAreaAdventureLeague/ Calendar: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BayAreaAdventureLeague/events/?source=4&action_history=null&filter=calendar

D&D 5-Session Campaign for Beginners

D&D 5-Session Campaign for Beginners

Thu, May 7, 1:30 AM
From Have Fun Make Friends SF
4.9

Are you curious about Dungeons & Dragons but don't know where to start? Or perhaps you're a returning player looking for a laid-back campaign? Join us for a beginner-friendly five-session D&D campaign! We're looking for players eager to learn and have fun in a casual, supportive environment. No prior experience is necessary – just bring a good attitude and a willingness to learn. **Some things to note:** * The campaign will consist of five sessions (each lasting two hours) spread out over the course of two months or so. * Please sign up only if you intend to follow through with all five sessions. That being said, no worries if you join the first session and decide this activity is not for you. * The first session will be on May 6th, and at the end of each session we can coordinate in person when the next session will be based on people's availability (likely on a weeknight to avoid scheduling conflicts). * The vibe will be casual, with an emphasis on friendly/forgiving fun rather than strict rule adherence; if you take D&D very seriously or are not comfortable with people asking novice questions, please reconsider if this is for you. * I'm aiming to keep the gender ratio balanced with six players maximum (plus one dungeon master), so feel free to get on the waitlist and I'll be adding people to the "Attending" list from there. * Depending on the dungeon master instructions, there may be a small cost to purchase some basic game materials (I'm hoping less than $10 bucks per person for the entire campaign, but that's TBD), but there will not be any actual cost for simply joining the campaign. * **Etiquette:** don't be weird/rude/unhygienic; be polite. * **Location:** I'm happy to host in my apartment most/all sessions if need be, but this can be decided later on based on the group's preference. I live close to the Crepevine location listed for this event, and will share my actual address with the people who end up joining. **Dungeon Master Needed!** We are actively seeking a Dungeon Master who meets the following criteria: * Comfortable Teaching Beginners: Patient and happy to guide new players through rules, character creation, and gameplay. * Casual Approach: Values fun and storytelling over strict rules. We're looking for someone who can create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all. * If you have a passion for D&D and enjoy introducing new players to the game, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to me (via Meetup or phone) so we can discuss next steps. Looking forward to this campaign! Please let me know if you have any questions. 628-236-9369.
