*free* Gelli Printing Class in person and Zoom

*free* Gelli Printing Class in person and Zoom

Sun, Apr 26, 8:00 PM
From SoulFullPlay Mixed Media Arts
4.9

This fun, easy technique is kind of hard to stop and makes wonderful elements for your art journals, greeting cards, mixed media projects and more. Even if you don’t play along I think you’ll enjoy watching. 1-3pm PST, free as a part of herchurch's Tactile Spirituality Initiative. If you'd like to Gelli Print with us from home, you'll want a gelli plate and supplies of your own. I like www.gelliarts.com, but you can search “gel printing plate” and find similar products from other retailers and even instructions to “cook” your own. You also need a brayer, acrylic paints, and lots of paper. Stencils also make it awesome, but you can make marks with lots of household things like rubber bands, toilet paper rolls, q tips, hand cut paper stencils, just about anything that will leave a mark but not damage your plate. (leaves, feathers, textured papers . . . check your back yard and your recycling bin!) If you join us in person, we have lots of supplies to share in the Art Womb. Zoom link is below. If you need to reach me at the last minute, *please send a text* as I likely won't see emails or Meetup messages. 415 425 9070. Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3795824945 herchurch is located at 678 Portola Dr San Francisco, 94127. There is plentiful, free parking. Please be vaccinated or masked when joining us in person, and please stay home if you have symptoms of illness. This class is free courtesy of herchurch's tactile spirituality initiative.

You’ll have several images available to base your mosaics on but please feel free to bring in any reference images or ideas you have! All materials are provided and we will have tons of tiles and stones available to put into the mosaics but feel free to bring any sturdy (stone or tile, maybe glass) objects that you think will go well in your mosaic and we’ll appraise to see if they’ll work out! Cooks! The April Test Kitchen is happening Sunday the 19th in San Francisco’s **Dolores Park neighborhood**. As always, this is a test kitchen, not a potluck. Make something you’ve never made before, something experimental, something you’re genuinely excited about exploring. Occasional failures are part of the experience, so don’t hold back! Please post your dish at least **2 weeks before** the Test Kitchen. Go to the event’s **Comments** area and let the other cooks know what you’re planning to make. Check out pics from past Test Kitchens on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/gay_mens_test_kitchen_?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr) and [Facebook](https://m.facebook.com/groups/1492243648833251/?ref=share&mibextid=S66gvF).
