Puzzled Pint San Francisco - Monthly Free Puzzles at a Pub

Puzzled Pint San Francisco - Monthly Free Puzzles at a Pub

Wed, Aug 12, 1:00 AM
From Puzzled Pint San Francisco
5.0

**Puzzled Pint at FOUR SF Locations on Tuesday 8/11 6-9pm!** Help a Professor of Puzzlology discover the secret meaning behind cathedrals in this month’s divine puzzle set. San Francisco game control volunteers will be hosting Puzzled Pint at four locations this month from 6pm to 9pm. Note that Ballast Point has sadly closed, but we’ve expanded to two new exciting locations that are not too far away and minutes walk from each other (Hardwood and SFBrewCo). Pick a venue and come puzzle with us! **1\. The Detour** at 2200A Market Street (Castro/Duboce) continues to be a powerhouse central location where you can come hungry and thirsty to solve your puzzles with us over drinks and Asian-inspired food at this lively barcade. **2\. Yancy's Saloon** at 734 Irving Street (Inner Sunset). Join us at this Inner Sunset watering hole, which has good-sized tables, ample cold beers, and convenient access from the N. There's no in-house food, but there are lots of takeout options nearby that you're welcome to enjoy with your drinks. **3\. IMPOVED Hardwood Bar and Smokery** at 680 8th Street (SOMA/Design District). Skip the check-in and turn left to enter the attached event space where we'll be puzzling while we fill up on delicious hardwood-smoked meats and craft beers and cocktails. They had generously squeezed us in on short notice last month around other events, but will ready for us this month with more tables and chairs set up in the event space, which will open at 5:30pm for early birds. Note that to accomodate more of the demand from Ballast Point closing, we've also added SFBCo, which is about 10 minutes walk away if this gets too crowded again despite the increased capacity. **4\. NEW SF Brewing Company \(SFBrewCo\)** at 100 Hooper Street in the Design District near Mission Bay/the Mission. This local brewery's second location is so new that the hours and location aren't listed everywhere. Be sure to come to the Hooper address and they will stay open past 9pm for us while we puzzle over local brews and classic pub foods. They are not yet set up for reservations at this location, but with the nearby Hardwood location as well (above), we don't expect to be too crowded and you can walk between the two if need be. If you're coming with a big group that wants to sit all together, it should still be fine to walk in, but consider letting us know ahead of time and we'll ask they pull some tables together to be ready for you (message your group size and arrival time to https://www.facebook.com/PuzzledPintSF). **We hope to see you for some puzzling!** *** Puzzled Pint is a FREE event for puzzle lovers occurring in pubs throughout the globe on the second Tuesday of each month, if you like escape rooms, crosswords, or sudoku, you'll love Puzzled Pint! Beginning the Friday before, solve the location puzzle posted at [http://www.puzzledpint.com/](http://mail01.tinyletterapp.com/puzzledpintsf/join-puzzled-pint-for-some-delicious-taco-tuesday-themed-puzzles-tomorrow-5-9/22301357-mail01.tinyletterapp.com/puzzledpintsf/join-us-in-the-mission-district-for-tonight-s-expanse-themed-puzzles/21330185-www.puzzledpint.com/?c=310d81e1-78e4-4625-b4aa-01c28f5582ae) to discover this month's location(s). Now running multiple in-person locations in San Francisco! Local Game Control volunteers will provide everything you need including hints to help beginners along. Bring a team of 2 to 5 people or come and make new friends. SF Game Control will be sipping beers and handing out puzzles and hints at each location from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Interested in meeting new puzzling friends? Message [PuzzledPintSF](https://www.facebook.com/PuzzledPintSF) on Facebook and we can organize a mixed group or two to meet up and puzzle together. RSVP not required. Want a monthly reminder? Sign up for our newsletter, now with Mailchimp: [http://eepurl.com/iJY_SI](http://eepurl.com/iJY_SI)
