Are you looking for a welcoming space to get creative, meet new people and enjoy some time doing what you love? **Then please join us for the very first Bayside Rainbow Creatives** designed as a relaxed monthly arts and crafts gathering for **LGBTQIA+ adults and allies**, bringing people together through creativity, conversation and community connection. Whether you love painting, drawing, knitting, crafting or simply want to try something new, everyone is welcome! Bring along your own creative project, explore new ideas, take inspiration from an optional creative prompt or simply enjoy a chat while getting creative. There's no pressure, no expectations and absolutely no experience needed. This isn't a formal art class, it's a friendly, inclusive space where you can create at your own pace, share ideas and connect with like-minded people. Inclusive Grief Circle: Honouring Loss Through Ceremony, Community & Creativity

Subconsciously, we are awaiting the presence of others, before we can feel safe enough to drop to our knees on the holy ground of sorrow. For the most part, grief is not a problem to be solved, not a condition to be medicated, but a deep encounter with an essential experience of being human. Grief becomes problematic when the conditions needed to help us work with grief are absent.” - Francis Weller Our primary association with grief is the loss of a loved one but there are so many kinds of losses that don't have formal ceremonies that are important to honour. Unprocessed grief can accumulate in weight, dulling our senses and capacity for aliveness. This is a safe, supportive space for all shapes, sizes and textures of grief- for the loss of our loved ones, for the childhood we did not get to have, for the parts of ourselves that have been rejected and exiled, for friendships and relationships with ambiguous endings, for homes and communities we are distanced from and miss, for the suffering of the world and our fellow beings. This inclusive grief circle is also an advocacy for compassionate and attentive grief work, for reshaping our understanding of and relationship with grief. It is a holding space, a container, a time and a deep permission to acknowledge our emotions, our connections, the ways we have been touched and transformed, and our humanity. We will make art in response to the Grief Deck, share and witness each other’s stories and journeys, and co-create a group nature mandala together. **Please bring a jar and 8-10 similar natural objects (8 flowers or 8 sticks or 8 stones).** If you are facing financial hardship, please key in CONCESSION as a promo code for a discounted price of $25. North Melbourne Canvas Connections Creative Collaboration Circle

Welcome to the North Melbourne Canvas Connections. This is a recurring space for members of the Beginner Artists Society to step away from the solitude of the home studio and work alongside others in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Whether you are currently navigating a specific project or just want to dedicate a few hours to practicing your skills, this is a place to share ideas and enjoy the company of fellow creators. The session is open to anyone who identifies as a beginner and is looking for a consistent time and place to sit down and create. There is no formal instruction or strict agenda; instead, we focus on providing a quiet, supportive atmosphere where you can experiment with your medium, exchange tips, and simply focus on the process. Bring whatever materials you are currently working with and join us for a productive afternoon. If you have been meaning to prioritize your creative practice but struggle to find the time at home, please consider joining us this time around. Cemetery Sketching 👻🪦✏️🦇

It’s spooky season! 👻🪦🦇 Grab your art supplies and meet me at the spot i’ve marked on the map 🗺️ (located in the event images) the meeting spot is marked in blue and i’ve marked all the entrance gates in red since they are tricky to find. We will split up and walk around the cemetery taking inspiration from our surroundings for our sketches. Please meet me back at the meeting spot at 2:50pm to have a chat and share our artworks 👻✨ 🪦 Please be respectful of the dead while wandering the Cemetery 🪦

Sketching at Bundoora Homestead

Hey Guys, For this event, we'll be sketching at Bundoora Homestead. A Queen Anne Federation styled, heritage home built in 1900 on Wurundjeri grounds by John Matthews and Vincent Smith. The property had previously served as a family home and repatriation facility before being refurbished as a public gallery in 2001. **Meetup Details:** We'll be meeting at the centre entrance at **11:00am** before making our way to the Cafe (adjacent to the exhibition entrance.) I've booked a table for 11 people. You guys can chill, draw, have something to eat/drink, and soak in the view of the Mansion gardens before viewing the exhibition upstairs. Or if you want, do it the other way around. *If you're looking to eat something substantial, I highly recommend having lunch beforehand as the cafe only serves light refreshments* **Public Transport and Parking:** **Route 86 tram** You can get off either at **Mt Cooper Dr** or **Greenwood Dr** to get to the homestead. **Mt Cooper Dr** (quicker route in my opinion) * Turn **Right onto Mt Cooper Dr** * Turn **Left at Boadle Rd** * Turn **Right on JV Smith Street (no through Road)** * **Walk Right on Snake Gully Dr** till you see a **wooden gate**, the main entrance is accessible from there. **Greenwood Dr:** * Turn Right onto Greenwood Dr and continue straight down the pathway near the cricket grounds till you see the homestead. **Parking:** * Parking is located directly in front of the venue and it's free :) Looking forward to meeting you guys there :)

**THEME** At this Deep Work event we'll explore **The Aesthetic Advantage** \- how we are all artists at heart\. The Aesthetic Advantage invites us to see ourselves as craftspeople, whatever our job title: bringing care, beauty and excellence to every detail, even the ones no one will ever see. **TIMING** \*Please arrive by 7:00PM for a 7:15PM start. The event will conclude at 8:45PM. **SETUP** You will be seated in small groups of about 5 people. We encourage you to sit with people that you don't yet know. :) **TICKETS** Tickets are $20.
