Fashion Thru Film at Nauti Studios

**Fashion thru Film** will delve into fashion history, subculture, and wearable creativity through the medium of film. Fashion enthusiasts, film lovers, artists, and students are invited to join us for a monthly night of fashion cinema. Screenings will alternate between fashion films, documentaries, and cult classics, with a brief group discussion following each film. Popcorn will be provided; BYO drinks and snacks are encouraged. The evening will feature a green carpet runway and optional movie-themed attire for each screening and photo area to show off your fits. **When:** The last Monday of each month, with doors opening at **6:30 PM** and the screening commencing at **7:00 PM**. **Enjoy a delicious dinner banquet with a different cuisine each time and support refugees!** CURRENT CONFIRMED ATTENDEES (incl. outside Meetup): 4 Join a small group and enjoy a tasty three course banquet at bohemian cafe Parliament on King. You’ll sample food from the homelands of asylum seekers and refugees (think Burmese/Rohingya, Iraqi, Iranian, Palestinean, Nepali, Sri Lankan, Ugandan and more). Each dinner banquet has a different chef and menu, and we often keep it a surprise until the night. Your hosts will invite the chefs to share their stories, and you’re more than welcome to ask them questions about the food they’ve prepared and their stories of how they have come to Australia. The dinner is hosted in the cosy front room of Parliament on King. Parliament on King’s mission is simple: to make lovely food. But in doing this they address the barriers to economic, social and cultural participation asylum seekers, refugees and recent arrivals to Australia face, by providing real work, training and community. We are planning to participate in Strathfield Council’s Bushcare program, which involves volunteers helping with bushland maintenance and restoration, or simply focusing on rubbish removal in public parks. To preserve equality in rights, the participants are given three-minutes to respond without interruption. The round concludes with a five-minute reply from another AI app to the notes taken. The process is repeated with the topical question that received the next highest number of votes. Volunteers are encouraged to step up to the plate, share their ideas and engage the group in a spirit of mutual respect and equality in rights.
