Q4 Full Funnel Performance Creative: Discovery to Post-Click
Tue, Sep 22, 11:00 PM**Q4 Full Funnel Performance Creative: Discovery to Post-Click** **\*\*(Brands Only - Non Brands will be rejected)\*\*** BFCM isn't won at checkout - it's won weeks earlier, in the creative that gets built, tested, and refined while everyone else is still telling themselves October is plenty of time. This DTC Builders session is the pre-game. A room for Shopify founders and marketers to get honest about what full-funnel performance creative actually looks like heading into peak season — from the discovery ad that earns the scroll-stop, all the way through to the post-click landing page and offer that actually closes the sale. We're joined by **[Ed Weston, Co-Founder of ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/edward-weston-prospa/?utm_source=luma)[Prospa](https://www.prospamedia.co.uk/?utm_source=luma)**, the performance marketing agency behind £50M+ in profit for 8-figure Shopify brands, to break down exactly how his team briefs, tests, and scales creative across the full funnel heading into BFCM. 🎯 **Why you should be in this room.** * Get ahead of BFCM creative before the scramble. Now gives you enough runway to fix the funnel before late-Q4 panic mode. * Hear it from an agency running 8-figure Shopify accounts. Prospa manages £5M+ in monthly ad spend and has generated £50M+ in profit across 80+ ecommerce clients. * Pressure-test your own funnel. Discovery, consideration, landing pages, and the post-click gaps that quietly kill contribution margin once volume spikes. * See what's actually converting right now. Real creative angles, formats, and offer framing Prospa is running for 8-figure brands going into peak season. * Leave with a sharper creative brief. Not theory — a practical checklist for what to build and test before BFCM hits.

Hidden Patterns: The Visual Journey of Networks
Wed, Sep 23, 11:00 PMHave you ever wondered why one startup, one tweet, or one node in your product's user graph explodes while a thousand identical-looking others don't? You've already run into **[Albert-László Barabási](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert-L%C3%A1szl%C3%B3_Barab%C3%A1si)**'s work, whether you knew his name or not. He's the physicist who discovered **[scale-free networks](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scale-free_network)**: the finding that most real networks, from the web to your own social graph, run on a small number of massive hubs instead of evenly spread connections. That's the math behind **preferential attachment**, and it's why the web, social networks, and citation networks all follow the same power law. In collaboration with the **[National Arts Club](https://www.nacnyc.org/)** and its **[Art and Technology Committee](https://www.nacnyc.org/arts-and-programs/committees)**, Barabási will walk through 25 years spent turning that math into something you can look at. **[BarabásiLab's work](https://barabasi.com/)** has moved from raw data visualizations to physical, 3D-printed network sculptures, and from academic papers to museum installations. The current centerpiece is **[Constructing La Biennale](https://www.labiennale.org/en/architecture/2025/living-lab/constructing-la-biennale)**, a 30-by-8-meter data visualization wrapped around the scaffolding of the Central Pavilion at the **2025 Venice Architecture Biennale**. It maps roughly 12,000 architects and 3,800 projects across the Biennale's 45-year history, back to its first edition in 1980, as a single connected graph. Barabási has called it **the most visible work at the Biennale**, and building it, in his words, "*was a massive data science project*." If your product, your portfolio, or your own career runs on network effects, **this is a rare chance to hear from the person who wrote the math for it**. Reserve your spot and arrive early. **Space is limited.**

Open Source System Administration Study Group
Sun, Sep 20, 6:00 PMThis group will learn about system administration topics with hands-on collaborative learning on a homelab setup of four Dell servers. A description of this session's plan in down below. We’ll deploy components like LDAP(authentication), Ansible (Infrastructure as Code), NextCloud (file storage), OpenStack (Cloud computing), OpenTofu (IaC Terraform fork), containerization and other open source software. We also intend to explore clustering, certainly high-availability and possibly compute clustering. We've setup the hardware, installed the OS, and established procedures and documentation standards. Now we're starting to work in small groups or individually on projects. An under-construction list of project ideas is at https://wiki.hackmanhattan.com/Project_Ideas. We have room for a few new people. Sign up to this event, come and do the exercise, and you're in. Join the Hack Manhattan Discord and say hello. DM me there with your email address so I can sign you up for a wiki account. Please bring a laptop if you can. We'll have a limited number of machines available you can use.
