Monthly Board Game Night at Perkyns N15

Come hang out with us at Perkyns N15 for our Monthly Board Game Night - it's all about fun, games, and good vibes! Welcome to **Monthly Board Game Night at Perkyns N15**! Join us at **Perkyn's** for a fun-filled evening of board games with friends and fellow enthusiasts. **Perkyn's** is a neighbourhood Cafe and late night Bar, offering Craft Beer, Natural Wines and Hot Drinks! Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the world of board games, this event is perfect for everyone. Every month there will be classic games such as Dominoes, Chess, Blackgammon, Cribbage, UNO, plus modern classics like Catan, Ticket To Ride, Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, Azul, Codenames and more! Everyone is welcome, and you can also bring your favourite game from home. Tickets are free, but donation tickets are available, which will go towards costs and new games for future events.

Saturday Night BIG Games!

Welcome to Saturday Night BIG Games with the Croydon Board Gamers. This is a trial event, which we may make more regular in the future if it's a success. Please note, like our other events, there is no fee payable to CBG to attend, but you will need to pay the Ludoquist £8 for a gaming session. The evening is a bit different to our usual sessions and is designed for longer, larger games planned in advance! We won't be organising games on the day, instead you'll need to arrange a game. If you haven't done this, there won't be space for you on the evening! You can do this by joining the chat on the event and advertising what game you want to play (if you are willing to teach) or speaking to others to agree a game. If there is an expectation that players will have read rules in advance, please note this. Best practice for complex games, is for all players to have read the rules and for there to be a quick recap teach before starting, however some players may offer a full teach. It's ok to agree a game on another forum (such as the CBG Discord https://discord.gg/9qBsMfMvP), but if you do please repost on the event chat what you are playing and who you are playing with. We have up to 6 hours to play (from 6pm to midnight), and you don't need to fill all this time with your game recommendation - but this is obviously a great opportunity to play big, complex games at the Ludo. Campaign games, GMT, 18XX, Twilight Imperium, John Company, Cthulu Wars or even a mini Euro-game tournament could be a good fit! This is a self-led session, and is still suitable for beginners. If you are newer to CBG or board games in general, you can reach out to the hosts in advance to talk about particulars.

Hi everyone! (pre-pandemic information) If you like to play modern board, card and dice games, and to meet new people, then join us every Wednesday evening, for as long as you like between the hours of 6pm and 11pm (when the pub closes). Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't as there are plenty that live at the pub, and plenty more that regular members bring along. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can come along any time before closing (11pm), so if you don't arrive at 7pm (when attendees trickle in), don't worry! Everyone comes and goes whenever they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or last to leave. Please write in the comments what time you expect to arrive at the pub, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. We are a relaxed and friendly group, made up of both natives and foreigners, of locals and those living further afield, happy to welcome newbies and regulars. Events are free to attend, but it is respectable to the public venues we hold them at if you can buy at least one drink or some food while you are present. If you would like to contribute towards the costs of running of this group, feel free to buy the host(s) a drink of their choice when you see them, for which they'd be very grateful. Blood on the Clocktower is a 5–20 player Hidden identity game (similar to Traitors, Mafia or Werewolf) where a good team tries to identify a the evil team before they eliminate the whole village. High player interaction, with unique character roles, and a Storyteller to guide the game. Our regulars always bring a wide selection, also *you are welcome to bring your own games*. We have a beautiful location in the garden of The Old Bell. We will be in the back. I'll make sure not to miss you. ## Welcome to Relaxed Mafia Come and play Mafia, an exciting social deduction game, in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Players of all levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners. There is a recommended donation of between £5 and £10 to help us to cover our Meetup fees. Strategy Board Games at the The Coat and Badge, Putney. **Is this event for you?** If you have been to a few WLGC events, or are used to playing modern board games with a significant amount of rules, then this event is for you. If not, please join us at our "Beginner Friendly" event every other week. This is an event to play Strategy games which range from medium to heavy in complexity and last 2-4 hours, depending on the game. It can take about 15-30min to teach, again depending on the complexity of the game. I usually advertise which game I am going to bring a few days in advance, as it can be helpful to at least be familiar with the rules. Other gamers may bring another selection of games, so be prepared to be surprised on the day. Here are more details specifically about the Putney events: We’re a friendly, social group that regularly play a range of board games and card games. This event has been running since June 2022 and we have a core group of regular gamers but welcome new members who are looking for a games group to play on a regular or fairly regular basis.
