**Rescheduled**!!! 🚲 **Lento to Potsdam — Bikes & Cheesecake** Fall is here, and the forests are beautiful! A little escape from Berlin! We'll meet at Brandenburger Tor around 9 AM and ride to Potsdam, taking the scenic route and stopping for lunch and a snack along the way. Once in Potsdam, there's a very good cheesecake spot waiting for us. Priorities, obviously. 🍰 For the way back, you've got two options: take the train back to Berlin or ride the full route back by bike. I'll probably cycle back, so feel free to join if you're up for the extra kilometres. As always with Lento, the route isn't set in stone. Let's trace the old Berlin Wall on foot! We'll meet at Wittenau station at 3 pm and set off on a relaxed 9 km walk south along the Mauerweg, the trail that follows the former Berlin Wall, all the way to Mauerpark. It's an easy and varied walk, full of parks, water channels and small reminders of the city's divided past. We'll reach Mauerpark around 5:30pm and take a proper break (5:30–6:30 pm) — bring a picnic, grab food from the stalls nearby, or just relax on the grass while the park comes alive. Afterwards, anyone who's up for it can join an optional Belgian beer experience at Herman Belgian Bar to round off the day. If you are a beer lover but have never tried the Belgian style of brewing, you can't miss this! Meeting point: outside the Wittenau U8 exit. How to get there: U8 or S-Bahn (S1/S85/S26) to Wittenau. **Let’s open the autumn gravel season this Sunday** For our first weekend excursion this Sunday, we're taking a beautiful, easy point-to-point ride through the forests of Brandenburg. We'll take a quick train up to Eberswalde and ride south through the Biesenthal Basin—including a scenic loop around Hellsee—before finishing right at the Bernau station. We’re gonna bike roughly 50km at a chill pace :) Here is the full plan for the day: **The Terrain & Bikes** We are sticking strictly to hard-packed forest roads, fine gravel, and paved paths. You do *not* need a specialized gravel bike for this. Sturdy city bikes, trekking bikes, and hybrids are completely welcome and will handle this route perfectly. (We just recommend leaving the skinny-tired road/racing bikes at home for this one). **The Schedule** * **10:30** – Meet up at Berlin Gesundbrunnen. (I will post the exact platform in the comments on Sunday morning!) * **11:00** – Catch the RE3 train north to Eberswalde. * **11:45** – Start pedaling! * **14:30 – 15:00** – Arrive in Bernau. We can grab a drink or snack near the station. * **15:30** – Jump on the S2 or RE3 straight back into the city. Bouldering Session

Have you always wanted to learn bouldering but never had the right company? Or are you an experienced boulderer who just wants to find boulder-buddies? If yes, this is the right event for you. We are going to meet inside "urban apes Basement Boulderstudio", close to S Anhalter Bahnhof, also not far from Potsdamer Platz. If you have never been there, you will need to sign up with them, which will take a bit of time. After that, **you can find us on the couches near the lockers (not in front of the reception), next to a red smiley**. When you enter the actual gym, enter the hall by turning left immediately - you are walking towards them. We will start warming up around 11:10, so everyone has enough time to arrive and get changed before that. ***\*\*\**** *Spots are limited, so please update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if you won't be joining. **NO-SHOWs ARE NOT COOL \*\*\**** We enter the gym at 11:00, if you are late, you will need to look for us inside. IMPORTANT: they only accept cards as a payment method. No cash. Late October is the ideal time to visit Andalusia. Daytime temperatures sit comfortably between 22°C and 28°C, the Mediterranean is still warm enough for swimming, and the dense summer crowds have finally gone home. The amazing weather is just the start. What surprises most people is the dramatic landscape. The **Sierra Nevada**, mainland Spain’s highest mountain range, is just 45 minutes from Granada. This means we can hike at an altitude of 3,000 meters in the morning and be back in the city for tapas by evening. An hour south, the mountains plunge straight into the sea. The coastline east of **Málaga** is a protected stretch of cliffs and coves where we’ll kayak into sea caves beneath the Maro cliffs and swim under a waterfall that drops directly into the Mediterranean. Very few places in Europe let you experience both environments in the same week. When it comes to food, **Granada** is one of the last cities in Spain where every drink arrives with a complimentary plate of food, naturally turning dinner into a relaxed crawl from bar to bar. One evening, we’ll head to the Albaicín for flamenco to experience it in an authentic, intimate tablao. Woven through all of this is a history completely unlike the rest of Europe. Eight centuries of Moorish rule left behind masterpieces like the Alhambra in Granada and the Real Alcázar in **Seville**. These palaces are defined by open courtyards, running water channels, intricately carved plaster, and gardens designed specifically for shade and quiet. Join us in the heart of Andalusia for an unforgettable autumn escape, complete with great company, authentic paella, and exceptional wine. **⭐WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS?** **The Alhambra Grounds & the Albaicín:** We walk up through the old Moorish quarter on cobbles that have not changed much in five hundred years, into the free Alhambra grounds, and on to Mirador de San Miguel Alto for sunset. The highlight is the waterfall that drops straight off the cliff into the sea, and yes, you can swim under it. **The Real Alcázar & Seville Cathedral:** A working royal palace built by Moorish craftsmen for Christian kings, with gardens that take an hour on their own. Next door, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the Giralda tower. **Granada's Free Tapas**: Granada is one of the last cities in Spain where a drink still comes with a plate of food, no charge. We do a guided night tapas crawl, trying out all of the specialties Andalusia has to offer. **Traditional Flamenco:** A first-row seat to a traditional flamenco show in a cave-style room in the Albaicín. Walking city tour, visiting the cathedral, the Royal Chapel and the centre. In the afternoon we climb through the Albaicín, the old Moorish quarter, into the Alhambra grounds, and finish at Mirador de San Miguel Alto for sunset. After dark, a guided tapas crawl. **Day 3 - Sierra Nevada High-Altitude Hike** We drive up a mountain road into mainland Spain's highest range. The hike is a scenic loop above 2000m altitude, around three hours at an easy pace with plenty of photo stops. In the evening, we attend a flamenco performance at Zoraya Flamenco in the Albaicín, one of Granada's best-known venues, for a traditional Andalusian night of live music, singing and dance. **Day 4 - Nerja, Sea Kayak & Trip to Seville** Three hours on the Mediterranean sea, paddling into sea caves and along the Maro cliffs to a breathtaking waterfall. Lunch in Nerja, then a short walk on the clifftop coastal path before the drive west to Seville. **Day 5 - Seville, the Alcázar & the Cathedral** We visit the Real Alcázar, then the cathedral and the Giralda tower. A long lunch in Barrio Santa Cruz, then Plaza de España and Parque de María Luisa in the late afternoon, when the light is best. **Day 6 - Seville Traditional Market & Departures** Breakfast, then an optional walk through the Mercado de Triana and along the river.
