Set in the Bavarian Alps, this trip is all about lakes, mountains, and slow moments in nature. Think clear blue water, scenic hikes, and views that don’t feel real — including the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle. The plan is to keep things simple and enjoyable. We’ll explore spots like Lechfall, walk through beautiful alpine trails, and take in some of the best views in the region — without rushing from place to place. There’s also plenty of time to just relax, enjoy the surroundings, and soak in the experience — whether that’s by a lake, on a trail, or during a sunset. Stairs and ladders help us get up high. From up there we have the ultimate view of Saxon Switzerland. * **Schrammstein Viewpoint:** The viewpoint offers a magnificent view over jagged rock formations, impressive table mountains and wide landscapes as far as the eye can see. On the other side of river Elbe, you see the fortress Königsstein, out of the forest rises the mighty Falkenstein. It is also a great spot for a picnic. * **Gate of Schrammstein:** The 'Schrammsteintor' is one of the most stunning rock formations in the entire national park. The deeply cut passage between the rocks is completely covered with sand and looks like a piece of desert and is a unique photo opportunity. * **Schmilka:** This traditional village is often described as the most beautiful village in Saxony. * **Bad Schandau:** Hike, feel good, come back - that is the motto under which Bad Schandau welcomes its guests.
