Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Coast, History and Lookouts! Little Manly, Sydney’s Q Station and North Head.

**Most of us have done the Taronga Zoo to Manly Walk or some version of it, right? How about a walk just as good, but different?** **We will meet at Circular Quay Wharf 3 in time to catch the 9.30am ferry. If you prefer to go straight to Manly, please be outside Max Brenner at Manly Wharf no later than 10am (ferry arrives at 9.52am). Please be on time.** **From here we will walk along the coast to Little Manly Cove and then make our way to North Head in the Sydney Harbour National Park.** **Part of this walk is along a 6-foot stone wall built to segregate the military area (no longer under military control) from the rest of the peninsula. This can get muddy so wear appropriate shoes.** **Then we will make our way to Sydney’s Q Station where people were quarantined. We will visit the Third Class Precinct, Hospital Precinct and Wharf Precinct where we will have a break and visit the small museum (there is a beach here for those that want to take a dip).** **We will then climb 250 steps to reach the Former First Class Precinct and wonder around before heading out.** **Although there are no guarantees, there is very little chance of being infected by anything serious (so they told me).** **From here, we will head to the North Fort Precinct along the Sanctuary Loop, a walking track that points out all the wildflowers along the way, and we will do the Fairfax Walk where we will spend time at the Burragula and Yiningma Lookouts, with glorious views of South Head and the city skyline. 2026 WHALE TRAIL: Narrabeen to "Sunday Sippers" at Bilgola Beach!!!

We looooove our Sydney trails that treat us to **secret beaches**. We love finishing our events at **secret bars you’d never find**! What about an event… a **stunning hike that finishes at a** **secret beach bar** **with a band** that starts at 4pm bringing us right into a glorious sunset? On August 30, we did this hike but from the other way… Palm Beach down to Bilgola, and let me say this… **SUNDAY SIPPERS AT BILGOLA SLSC IS ONE OF THE COOLEST LITTLE BARS IN ALL OF SYDNEY!!!** It’s RIGHT on the beach. It’s only open once a month. And the bartender said “Late September we’ll have a full band on – it will be a great Northern Beaches scene.” **This hike is beautiful. This bar is unforgettable (burger, beer pic is from Bilgola SLSC). Don’t miss this HIKE!** **THE HIKE. The 199 bus stop is there, then we'll cross the road and check out the rockpool then head into **Narrabeen Headland** which gives the most spectacular views south. Onward we go to **Turimetta Beach** (10/10 breathtaking) and **Lookout**… to the **Turimetta Headland Reserve, Warriewood Lookout & Blowhole**, **Warriewood Beach (again gorgeous), then to Mona Vale Beach (voted 6th best in the world, Conde Naste)**… North of that? **Basin Beach. Bungan Beach**.... these two are truly beautiful. We'll climb out of Bungan then head to **Newport Beach...** around the headland is **Bilgola Beach**, and we'll descend down some lovely stairs right onto the sand where **Bilgola SLSC** lies. **13.5kms in total**. Beach walk. Inclines. And all the rest. Fitness required for this one. The **B1 bus / 199 bus are our friends all day to start, get home, and even provide some outs if you want to stop hiking and meet us at the pub.** If you parked your car at the start (there is free parking but DIY research) it's super easy to bus back south. Post-pub the 199 bus is literally up the stairs from Bilgola and runs every 10minutes. We'll arrive at the pub about 320pm (330pm opens)... I get it. It's Sunday. If you want to leave? That's okay. Whale Watching: Bondi Junction to La Perouse!!! 17km Medium

**Whale Watching Day!!! Bondi Junction to La Perouse 17km (Medium)** We meet at **Bondi Junction Train Station**, at **Bus Interchange F**, by **9:40AM** to catch the **350 Bus direct to Coogee Beach**, and strike out for **Maroubra Beach**, where we have a quick bathroom break. We then head into the amazing **Malabar Headland Walk**, for amazing views out to the **Tasman Sea** and, hopefully, plenty of Whales! We stop for lunch, about 8KM in, at the pleasant beachfront park (with clean bathrooms!) at Malabar Beach. **PLEASE BRING YOUR LUNCH, LIMITED FOOD OPTIONS HERE.** After lunch we have 9KM to go, working around **Long Bay Goal and Little Bay** and onto the spectacular **Botany Bay National Park** for a grandstand finish through to **La Perouse**! A high frequency bus service runs back to the CBD. The ocean front scenery on this walk is stunning! Hopefully we will spot **Humpback whales** during the day; it is likely that we will. We should arrive La Perouse **by 4:00PM**. **Distance:** 17KM **Type of Walk:** This wonderful walk is full of rich variety with fantastic ocean views all the way! **Difficulty:** Medium, because of the distance. **Walking Pace:** We will average 4.5KM per hour. **Meeting Place and Transport:** We meet at **Bondi Junction Train Station**, at by **9:40AM**, at **Bus Interchange Stand F**.
